Bought this jacket after looking at a few others in the same price range. It's warm, waterproof and looks good on me. Massive in size but I'm not the slimmest so it's great for me. I bought a medium and I'm 5'10. Before buying this I was looking at a Canada goose but this jacket is so understated and it's proper waterproof so it's a better buy for someone who wants style and substance over showing off a patch on your arm.

Love this coat. Everything I expected it to be. Just be sure to order a size smaller than normal. It runs big.

Had the previous Therme and I like the revision. Some folks don't like the soft outer material on the update but I prefer it over the more ridged feeling outer. The new Therme is much lighter weight and has better maneuverability. It does run quite large and I probably could've gotten away with going down a size but I'm going to keep the XXL so I can wear heavier layers underneath. All in all a great parka and I am super happy with it. The only gripe is the hood is quite oversized.

Purchased the medium and, similar to other reviewers, I found it ran slightly large so I ordered the small. The small had a slimmer fit (I'm 5'11 155 pounds) that looked good with nothing in my pockets. However, it looked horrible once you put gloves in the pockets--just no room. So, I decided to keep the medium, which still looks great and has plenty of room to put things in your pockets. I think the only thing missing on this coat is a waist cinch to keep drafts from coming up and in.

I was torn between the Therme and the Therme SV for the fact that the SV was longer, however, went I got a chance to try this on at the Arc'teryx Boston store, I quickly realized that this jacket is MUCH longer than the images suggest. I'm 5'10 and 200lbs and went with the XL for a bit more oversized feel this jacket is below mid-thigh for me. Trying on the Therme SV and it was past my knees which was way too long for me. With that out of the way, I am so impressed by how lightweight this jacket is significantly lighter than some competitor's top down jackets yet somehow maintains its warmth. It's sleek and modern, but best of all, waterproof thanks to its GORETEX. I noticed people complaining about the zipper, however, it's INCREDIBLY easy to zip up, and the dual-zipper function is fantastic to use. This jacket is almost perfect for the daily city commuter, but I only have a couple of nitpick-y comments on features I wished it had. Number one being that I wish it had a thumb hole to provide a little bit of warmth in the hands. Second is some additional pockets on the inside of the jacket. Lastly, the hood is a little strange to me as I wish it had a bit more structure and extended out a bit more from the face to help on windy days.

This parka is everything I was looking for. Walked around in freezing windy conditions with just a tshirt on and I couldn't even feel the windchill. I look forward to the NyC weather now in February and March. I tried on the small in store and it was huge. Bought the xs online and am pleased with the fit. Chose the bitters color and it is a luscious brown not burgundy at all and I like that. Important jacket measurements: 18.5" shoulder seam to seam and the sleeve to shoulder is 25 1/4". I don't know why the website isn't this specific. For reference I am 5'9" 150lbs and rarely use xs in anything, usually a small. Love this brown color because it is a great contrast to my blues, olives, and greys but fits right in. You want a commuter parka then you want this!

I've had this coat for 2 seasons now, going on to its 3rd. Great coat that I find very warm and very lightweight for how warm it is. Love that it is also Goretex and waterproof as I have used this in heavy rain and the water just beads right off. I'm 173cm and the Medium fits well. Hood is roomy, but not overly. Great when it's raining hard.

Just received my Therme Parka and couldn't be more pleased; the fit and details are amazing. This coat is very light weight but warm. I'm 6'3" 190 lbs and the Large is a perfect fit. I would highly recommend this parka.

I'd been thinking of a longer coat for urban and cold weather general use for a while. Didn't love last year's colours but this year with the black sapphire the colour is spot on. The Therme parka is just right for warmth so far, with enough room for even a suit jacket, yet great over a sweater or mid layers. I haev lots of Arc'teryx jackets and the Therme fits as a true regular M. I'm 6'2", 40" chest, 34" waist and the Medium is perfect. It has an internal pocket, quite roomy for an iphone 12 mini in its case. The hand pockets are great, and have good zips. I didn't fancy the Therme SV without an internal pocket and no zips on the hand pockets. Looking forward to trying it in proper winter weather! Very pleased so far.

Great quality and really warm. The contemporary design is what appealed the most to me with clean surfaces and minimalistic design. The down is solid and remains superbly warm.

First off - sizing; I ordered a large. I am 6'4, 100kgs and pretty broad. When it arrived and I tried it on, it felt really baggy. I appreciate that some may like to layer-up with this coat, but I'm in the UK and this over a shirt or jumper is fine for just about all conditions. I ended up exchanging for the medium, which is a much sleeker fit and more flattering. Arcteryx organised the return and refund quickly, so all good. Jacket is really good quality and has become a firm favourite in just a few weeks. Would recommend.

Brilliant coat, I wanted something that was warm that could be worn in work situations and for casual. Nearly went for the SV but this is plenty long enough, hood adjustment could be better but I'm just being picky

I recently bought the Therme as a winter jacket for Central European winters and would like to take this opportunity to give you my impression and personal opinion of the jacket. Design and construction: I like the simple, straightforward design and clean lines of this jacket. I find the construction with down composite mapping extremely useful. As I am a fan of understatement, I would have liked the jacket without the lettering on the hood. In addition, the logo on the left shoulder could have been implemented in slightly less contrasting colors. Functionality: The size of the pockets is good and the arrangement of the pockets is also good. One reason for me to buy it was the side pockets with side openings. I prefer these to pockets with an opening at the top, as it's easier to stow your hands in them. I find the hood a little too big - especially with only one cord for adjustment. If there had been more adjustment options, I would have given it full marks. I noticed that despite the adjustable StormHood, there is still wind on the head when its stormy. Size and fit: The jacket is specified as a "regular" fit. In my opinion, it is more of a "relaxed" or even "oversized" fit. According to the size chart, I am exactly L (189cm, V-shaped torso). After reading the comments, I tried on the jacket in M and L. The M fits well around the stomach but is too tight around the chest. The L fits well around the chest but is too loose around the stomach. In the end, I chose the L because I have more freedom of movement and can layer. However, I would find a little more waistline more visually appealing. Quality and feel: The quality of workmanship is of course above any doubt. The seams and materials are extremely neatly finished. I think the feel of the outer fabric is excellent for an everyday jacket. Weather resistance: Apart from the slightly too large hood, the outer fabric and GoreTex keep the rain and wind completely away from the body. Very nice. Warmth: I was told that the Therme uses 94.4g of goose down (750 cuin) and 80/60 synthetic insulation. At -5C and wearing a T-shirt, I wasn't cold under the jacket but not overly warm either. In fact, I would have liked a little more warmth in this winter jacket. For Central European winters, however, the insulation is probably 95% sufficient. Durability: I can't say anything about the general durability yet. The zipper is smooth-running but made of plastic. We will see how durable it is. The inner fabric is very thin. I'm curious to see how abrasion and stress from beard stubble will affect the fabric.

I got this as a Birthday present to replace my Therme SV Coat that was stolen from my car. I loved that coat, and it was really heavy and great in the cold. This coat is so light I'm apprehensive about its performance in really cold weather. The hood is pretty thin too. The body and arms are thicker relatively speaking. That said, this coat is very well made with high quality materials. I'm 6' 4" 250 LBS.(Athletic Build) and it fit me well. Nice style too Arctyrex makes really good gear, so I hope my fears are misplaced. I'll find out this Winter. Overall I'm pretty satisfied.

I bought this jacket in an Amsterdam store and it felt great. However, after the 1st time I wore it I realized that the sizing is a bit off. I am 188cm, athletic build and wear L all the way. Across all similar brands. However, this jacket feels so loose and sleeves so long that besides all the great materials and premium finishing, it was an annoyance after a few hours wearing it. I checked the size guidelines and realized that this not exactly L and that the gap between M and L is so huge that L is more like L-XL. I am not sure what the what the company's idea behind is but I assume it can alienate quite a lot of their loyal customer base.

Good parka jacket, excelent insulation and outer fabrick with CTX layers. There is only one mistake with the form of the jacket. I am rather tall and well build, no stomach, so the XXl fits well .The problem is the coat hem where there is no way to control the size of it,no rubber bands with locks, what should be that this jacket would be perfect. In could weather -20 C and below the freezind wind comes in from back. This would be avoided by the possibility of the control the size of the hem. m surpriced that this is not the case . m going to the lokal tailor who would do that to my jacket, there is good space in the hem for inconspicuous placement of the rubber bands .Hopefully the designer will take this to his or her plan of the next generation Therme Parka.

I bought this a year ago. Overall I love it. The quality down layering inside feels great is very warm. My only complaint is that the pockets don't insulate your hands. My Cerium hoodie and Atom jackets are also great and they have pockets that keep my hands warm. On this coat there is only the shell over my hands and they get very very cold. I don't want to always have to have gloves on if going for a walk in cold weather, I prefer to tuck my hands in my pocket but that doesn't work on this otherwise fantastic coat.

In 2019 I bought the Therme and I consider to buy again a Therme. I have a question about sizing. It seems that I have a size between the sizes. Can you make a size between the sizes? I've got size XL. The new size XL has too long sleeves for me. The size L I feel pressure at the chest. My chest size is 104 cm and my waist is 94 cm. I am 188cm tall and my weight is 81 kg. So L seems good, but I feel a pressure at the chest. I measure my chest without clothes, but I wear clothes under my jacket. What can I do? Furhtermore the jacket is perfect, enough pockets, waterproof and warm.

Bought this on impulse and as a smarter alternative to my collection of more traditional down 'puffa' jackets. 6'1" & 215lbs this jacket in XL fits perfectly with room for layers - love the style; perfect for watching football during the middle of the season during UK winters (rain and cold). My only reason for not giving 5 stars - the zip! Not only is the puller on the 'wrong' side for men its tiny and difficult to locate, pretty much impossible with gloves on etc. Other than that its a stylish, warm and comfortable jacket . . .

I am 197cm and 115kg and I am an XL in just about all Arc'Teryx purchases. I duly bought the revised version in XL but it was huge on me and not very flattering (it seems to have deviated from its original design philosophy). Reviews say to downsize, so I bought a L. This seemed to fit better, but just too tight across the chest and the proportions went from a coat to a jacket. Having returned these, I managed to find an old Therme, prior to revision (I.e 2021 model) and the fit is spot on which is like in-between a revised XL and L. Plus the silhouette is more technical/ sleek - how I imagined the revised model should of fitted. Plus it feels more durable and a bit warmer. For me the old Therme is not perfect and it has flaws which the newer model has tried to address but the sizing issue on the new Therme is a significant hindrance. In Summary, the old Therme feels closer to a 'masterpiece' whilst the revised version feels like a work in progress.

I tried on the 2020 Therme in XL which seemed to fit quite well, although the sleeves seemed a tad short. The main issue was I thought it would be too warm for the UK. I purchased the 2022 Therme in XL and whilst the sleeves are better and the parka should breath better with reduced Coreloft and work well in the UK, the sizing seemed odd. I am a 197cm and 115kg and I am a XL in everything (Atom, Radsten) but this coat in XL seems huge and vastly different to the 2020 model. I am a 46 inch chest and your size guide says XL but it seems a bit big and I may need to size down to a large. It is a great coat but sizing is confusing.
