I was searching for a relatively flat shoe; this fits that bill. BUT! It runs narrower than sized; had to return the medium for a wide. (There's a reason that the "W" sizes are mostly sold out.) It also seems to run half a size shorter than stated. Another issue: The working buckle is attached to the shoe with elastic, so the cross-wise strap lifts when you take a step. On the plus side, the leather is soft and the shoe has an attractive, discrete profile.

Cute shoe for a comfort shoe. Unfortunately Trotters is serious about Narrow, and while the heel fit my skinny heel perfectly, the toe was just too narrow for not-skinny big toe.

Loved the style and soft leather, but it runs wider than expected.

I LOVED the looks of this shoe. The strap is wonderful for people with narrow feet. The scallops gave them a dressier look. Unfortunately, the toe box was tight and rubbed my foot, so sadly I had to send them back.

I have come to the realization that my narrow, narrow feet will not move me about unless their shoes are held on with straps. Also I am awkward in high heels. Now the trick is to find a pair of strappy flats that look good enough for formal wear. These will do the trick, I think! The scalloped edge is delightful. They fit my size nine narrows neatly. I can walk in them! The padding feels a bit intense now but I am willing to give it time and wearings to settle down.

I kept all three colors that I bought. I like that it had a removable insert so I could put my own in. I would be better off with one of the old-fashioned "combination lasts". Those are the ones that are narrower in the heel. I am actually wide in the front but medium in the heel. For this reason, I usually like straps to keep the shoe securely on the foot. Nobody makes combination lasts anymore (go ask your mom!). These are nicely styled and comfortable. I like the fact that they do no have those chunky rubbery soles. I need something for the office, but can no longer do heels comfortably. P.S. Make more flats with rubber souls that match the color of the shoe!! Thanks.

Very comfortable shoes with good fit. I would like a real taupe color--this is more just a dark beige. But I'll keep them and they will be a good useful shoe.

true to width but much longer

These Trotters "Sugar" are so sweet...just like Sugar!! The cute scallop along the sides dress up the shoe, and the Mary Jane strap across the instep holds the shoe on snugly. I cannot wear a flat without a strap across the instep; they flap and flop right off my heels, but these shoes hug my feet in the nicest way. I plan to wear these silver "snakeskin" beauties for my son's wedding in February! Thanks Zappos for making returns and purchases so easy!

Super comfortable, even though I still need to add something so the heel doesn't slip. Will wear as every-day with jeans and casual clothes.

My feet: flat, narrow heel, very low instep (low volume), skinny ankles. Pretty much duck feet. I was concerned these shoes would be too shiny but they aren't. They are cute. Good for pants or skirts and dresses. They fit well and are comfortable. The top of the heel of the shoe rubs my Achilles a bit and I'm concerned it will cause a blister if I were to walk for a while in them. If you don't have flat feet, I don't think this will be a concern for you.

Very comfortable shoes. A little wide. I liked the scalloped edges of the shoe leather. I don't like high heels, so this is a relatively dressy style that is comfortable to wear.

Returning this shoe as it is just a little to long and not crazy with how it looks with straight leg jeans. I wear an 11 and the brands that almost always fit perfectly are: Born, Ecco, Clarks, and Josef Siebel. I bought these based on wonderful reviews and slight square toe.

I liked these the least of the 3 I ordered. The Born ones won out! They felt a bit clunky and I didn't like the scallops. The shoe is also not cut low enough for me over the toes. I did like the adjustable strap and the leather was soft, support seemed good. Just didn't like the style on my feet as well as the others.

I really wanted these shoes to fit, as most mary janes in this category are clunky. However, for my narrow and flat foot there was significant gaps on the sides. Otherwise, they run true to size and have a good insole with significant arch support.

This shoe has about a 1/4"-2/3" heel and if you need zero drop, it will not meet your needs.

Had to return since they were too big. Most of the time I'm a 10.5 AA, but these were just too big.

Looked frumpy. The leather was stiff with no give. The arch support was nice. The buckle was easy to do.

These shoes are so good looking and the lining is super comfortable! But I wear a size 8 medium and these shoes are quite narrow on the ball of the foot and slipped up and down on my heel (even with the strap!). Unfortunately, I have to return them.

I was so excited to get these shoes but they were a half size too big. I normally wear a size 10 or 10W. In this case, I got the wide width because they looked a bit narrow. It was the right choice. But I wonder if they are too long because they are wide or if it is the structure of my feet? Either way, I'm going to try the 9.5 W if it's available because this would be a really cute and comfortable shoe to wear at work.

Nice shoe toe box is not real deep.

I have a very narrow heel, and the shoes while fit in the length and width, kept slipping off at the heel.
