More of a dress up shoe, but really nice. Definitely get a size or a size and a half lower than normal. I wear size 10 1/2 and should have got at least a 9 1/2. Still a very nice shoe.

Very comfortable for me, minimal arch and one of the only boots that have actually felt bigger than the size on the box (11 wide). Plenty of toe room and plenty of width, I can even wear thick wool socks.

Overall good, but the sole separates at the toe when you wear them in the snow. Returned two pairs ( that zappos was great about for the same reason). I finally had to gorilla glue the sole at the toe and have been great ever since.

Super stylish rugged boot -- that is rugged for a stylish boot, not stylish for a rugged boot. The color is great, just a hair darker than the photo. Difficult color to maintain without darkening the leather. Finishing for the most part is pretty good. This boot runs at least a half-size large, I would order 1/2 and 1 size down and keep the best fit. The Timberland insole provided is inferior; replace with a quality insole -- one that cups the heel a bit more -- and you'll find fit & comfort improves markedly. Difficult boot to get on without a shoe horn unless you are the type to only lace a boot halfway.

Great boot. I have a wide foot and it's been very hard finding a wide, waterproof boot. These are very comfortable but run about a size too large. Also, the only downside is that I wish the tongue was gusseted; it seems like an obvious choice for a waterproof boot.

While I've only had it for a month so far, this has been a great, very lightweight yet rugged, and great-looking boot. I agree that it runs about 1 size large. No complaints at all, so far.

Comfy, little hard to put on laced up. Feels great once on, very flexible material. I wear a size 14 and these didn't feel like wearing heavy boots at all.

As others have written here, this boot runs at least a size too large. My foot measures 11.75, so I usually use a 12 or a 11.5 depending on the last. I also have a narrow (C), flat, low volume foot. In this boot I am happy with an 11 and my toes still have room at the front. I typically use an arch support under the OEM foot bed and on this shoe that method provides me both the volume filler and support I need. Order a size smaller than you normally would. Shoe is well built and comfortable. Too bad they didn't gusset the tongues for greater waterproofing. Good for urban and suburban walking in all conditions, but not for real back country hiking / trekking. Use a real boot for that like a Lowa Baffin (which runs true to size).

I bought these for my husband and I bought them a whole size smaller (as other reviewers had recommended) than he usually wears, and they fit. I loved using Zappos.com and will definitely use them again in the future.

These boots are stylish, which is what you get for compromising ruggedness. I have had these and the standard Timberland, and these do not take wear as well, and are not as waterproof. Namely, the sole of the boot wears out quickly if you walk a lot on hard surfaces. You can, of course, always replace the sole though. The last knock on them is that they are squeaky on linoleum type surfaces. They also run a whole size big. Other than that, they are very good looking, and if you replace the sole, the upper leather will last a long time.

As others have said, these run about 1.5 sizes too big. I wear a 10.5 in just about everything, so I thought a 10 would do fine. Wrong. I ended up also ordering a 9.5 (still too big) and then a 9 (fit).
The first order had a pretty good-sized glue blemish on it, but it was a moot point since I was returning because of the size issue.
If you're considering this boot, start with a full size smaller than what you normally wear.
Other than that, really liking them.

Shoe runs at least a full size to a half size larger. I wear 11 in all shoes and a 10 fit me prefect. They are definitely cut big. But once you find your size the fit is very comfortable. Look great with jeans.

Nice looking comfortable boots. Haven't tested them in bad weather much yet but they seem to stand up well. They are very soft, but therefore don't offer the sort of support of a hiking boot or anything like that; but they're not bad in that regard. The supplied soles are all right but I absolutely needed my superfeet insoles instead, especially because they run so much larger than expected. Even ordering a full size small and replacing the insoles, they're a bit roomy.

Purchased this boot at 9.5. I typically wear 10.5 and the boot was still a bit loose, but wearable. The looks are there but a bit wider than expected. Sole is very flexible.

A quality boot but still pricey. These foots are relatively flat in the arch, so plan on an arch support device if you need one. Also, consider sizing down one size for best fit; these boots run larger than indicated. They are ready to wear out of the box, no break-in required.

Darn good boot. Really comfortable, and uniquely stylish. Only thing is they run a little huge. I usually where an 11 ,and expecting the boot to be big, I decided to get a 10.5, but after trying it on I'm thinking I should have even got a 9.5(this is the only reason I knocked off a star). But the shoe was just too cool for me to have to wait to return it. So I kept it anyways. Buy a pair if you want to be cool. Some may not know how to react to them, but you just gotta wear 'em like you know something they don't.

Buy them.
Initially, I ordered these shoe at size 11 (I'm typically between a size 11 & 11.5) and had to return them because they were much too large. I went to the local mall, tried a pair of size 10s on and returned to Zappos to make a second order. If you order these shoes, please order a full size smaller or you'll be wasting your time. I purchased these boots for a motorcycles riding class that required over-the-ankle boots and they were a perfect match, and they have a semi-casual look that you can pull off in a business-casual workplace. The soles of the shoe are a little soft, which is nice for a quiet stride in hallways, etc. but they may need to be replaced sometime down the road. One more note: These boots are not necessarily work boots - more like light-work boots. I like them.

Great Timberland Boots -
These are very comfortable, well built, great looking boots built with a bit of social consciousness in mind. I ordered a half size smaller based on other reviews and it was right on. In other words, they run big.
All in all a great boot and worth the price.

Another great pair to add to the collection -
The boots are slightly darker than pictured. There's a small bit of stitching on the inside of the tongue that scratches my skin if I'm not wearing long socks. Besides that, these serve its purpose in function and fashion.

Nice!
This is a nice new take on a traditional work boot look. This boot has a wide comfortable last that may be a bit roomy for a narrower foot. The darker greasy brown leather was my favorite color. The boot fits large. I sized down a full size. I wear an 11 Nike running shoe and bought this boot in a 10 after trying them on locally. The boot is pretty light weight and the sole is thinner than a traditional work boot.

Great Boots -
These are great boots - very comfortable right out of the box (no break-in needed), seem to be well made and are a pleasure to walk in. The third time I wore them I walked around a trade show all day long (if you've ever done this you know what a toll it can take on your feet, back, etc.) and I felt great the whole day. I would certainly buy another pair.

The boots are extremely comfortable; however the leather quality is not as I had hoped. The shoes wrinkle and scuff easily. For the price I had purchased it for, I expected the leather to be better.

These were my first and only pair of Timberland boots. I really like these boots, but I was disappointed that the stitching came loose on the tongue. I'm really considering buying a new pair, but I am hesitant because of my experience with the first pair.

I've purchased these 3 times. The first version were fully waterproof.. A thick piece of leather connected the tongue and inner boot. Second version was completely detached. Hence no water proof.3 no
