My 9 yrs old fits the lg very well..no layers required it's very warm and he loves it

The sizing on this jacket ran small and I'm sad because it was everything I wanted in a warm winter jacket for extra frosty days. It was puffy and comfortable and made well. but the body was on the small side and won't work for my grandson. I noticed there were options to make the sleeves longer for growth of the child, which is something I haven't seen since toddler clothes. Too bad it has to be returned.

If you live in an arctic tundra this is the perfect coat for you. It's a little too much for PNW rainy days in my opinion. Good quality and VERY warm.

This coat is great quality and will be extremely warm, but it does run small. Size up.

Super warm and comfortable. Handles well in mountain weather. Love the special pockets for ski gear, snow skirt and internal cuffs. The size charts were really helpful in deciding between a L or an XL for my teen.

Son loves it! He's a pretty skinny 6yo and I was worried the size S (8) would be huge on him, but it is actually great and dare I say that with the Outgrown feature we might get 3 years out of it?! He loves the black and neon yellow and so far has stayed warm in this Midwest December, but we have yet to test it in the snow.

Bought this for my 5 year old - it is very warm, it is a little in the bulkier side. I like that it runs down this back a little longer so he gets good coverage when he plays outside in the cold. Fyi - possible downside - he is not a fan of the top closure as it sits below the lip and he says it's uncomfortable, so he wears it a little open, similar to the where it sits in the product photo. Fits as expected.

Warm and comfortable. Sizing was as expected. It has only been worn a couple of times but Columbia always stands behind their products.

Nice heavier winter coat for my teenager, he's a slim child and this appears to be cut fur a more athletic fit and suits him well. All the other coats this size were too bulky for him but this keeps him warm and he doesn't feel like he's drowning in the jacket. Has the thumb holes and he likes that feature.

Warm and cozy winter coat for my 3 year old. The hood comes down enough to cover his forehead and it is not heavy.

The Jaket looks nice. My boy liked it. It looks warm, but we are waiting for the coldest day in Blacksburg to test it. I bought about 4 products from Columbia in the past month, and I and my kids are loving them.

Best jacket ever! I'm glad I made the decision to pay for this Omni jacket for my little man! He's 9 yo and I bought a size small and it fits him perfectly. There were a lot to choose from but this is the perfect jacket for school and just about anywhere he goes. Highly recommend!
