Bless Zappos!!! Best place to buy shoes, hands down. I wear a size 7EE. I spent 2 years shopping REI for hiking boots. It took one click from this site for me to find the perfect boots. These are it!! I absolutely love them. Comfy with plenty of room for my bunion. I’m so glad I discovered Zappos for my wide feet needs… sad it took 30 years but glad to be on the road to fashion fun! Get these boots, you’re gonna love em!

Wore these boots for the first time today for an easy hike. Terrain was flat, just lots of roots and some mud. Traction was good and did not feel the ground through the sole even without the spare soles included. Very pleased that the extra wide fit my “duck feet” without pinching. Normally I wear a 4E wide in New Balance shoes, so wasn’t sure if XX wide would fit, but these boots were comfortable from the start til 3 hours later.

Looked and felt nice, but won’t work for me, unfortunately. I have wide toes and narrow heels, and was hoping the strap at the ankle would cinch it enough to fit, but it won’t. Considering trying a smaller size, though not sure I can get a good fit in the heels. Nicer insole than is found in many hiking boots. Not sure the sole will have enough traction. Will update if reorder.

Use orthotic arch support. Excellent boot.

These boots are so comfortable, especially with bunions!

Super comfortable boot for wide feet. Often boots pinch me in the toe box but these are great. Boot runs a bit long but perfect with a cushioned hiking sock.

Too long. I think they would be comfortable in the correct size, but I will not re-order. The formed sole scares me. It does not seem like it will hold up to rugged rocky terrain where I hike. I

Addendum to 8/24 review. 10 medium was still too wide in the heel. Will note for the record that I am female and wear a 10D in New Balance. Have been told that women tend to have narrower heels than men, and am curious if other reviewers were male or female. I still was impressed with the apparent quality and value of these shoes and will continue to check out Anodynes.

THANK YOU Anodyne for making women's hiking boots in extra wide! It is so hard to find shoes/boots to accommodate my aging feet. While I haven't hiked enough in these to provide feedback, I know they are more comfortable then any other boots I've tried on.

These are very comfortable! Easy to get on and off. I'm not a big fan of the laces though.

the sole of this boot does not appear provide enough traction for hiking.

Could not get my foot into the shoe through the ankle opening, so I don't really don't know about the fit. Returning the shoes

the fit and size are good - I have the extra wide width and that width is great for wide feet. I used these for working in the yard and hiking around the neighborhood. after 1 year, the boots started splitting away from the base which let moisture inside. I am not talking about walking through puddles - just wet grass and my socks will be soaked. I tried contacting the company and did not get a response. I finally wound up putting gorilla glue around the place where the leather connects to the base and it is partially working. I think that a boot for $159.99 should last for more than 12 months with medium use. Maybe this is an old fashioned idea - to me, that is a lot of money and I expect my footwear to last longer than that. I will say that these are very comfortable and that they are very comfortable for wide feet.

Fit and size are great, it is the quality of the sole of the boot that is sub-par. Cheap looking and not grippy
