I bought this for my daughter who is in elementary school to keep her warm at recess and the walking to and from the school bus stop. The last few days have been -30 windchill and she tells me that she has stayed warm and comfortable with nothing more than a t-shirt underneath. I would defintely recommend this coat and actually just ordered one in my size because she has liked hers so much!

Great jacket! Very pricey so hopefully it lives up to its great warmth technology. Excellent fit and very flattering. Seems to be very warm but haven't been able to use it yet! I'm 5'6" and 120lbs, ordered a size Small and it fit perfectly.

Light weight and warm at the same time. Style and look is great as compared to other Columbia jackets. Sleeves run a little long. Wish they were adjustable with a Velcro tab

I like the features of the jacket, from the thumb sleeves to the zig-zag design of the down filling. The green color is nice as well. What I think it lacks is the fit -- I am a Medium and this is a little snug. If I were to wear a thick sweater I would have to wear it unzipped to be comfortable. I also think it could be a little warmer, it's advertised as such, but not as warm as my other Columbia jacket. Overall, I would recommend but to size up if you were planning to wear thicker clothing underneath.

Warm Jacket, Took a star off because the Hood is Not Detachable

I have the black jacket from last year-same model. I would love this jacket but the sleeves, hood, and the top part of the jacket is nothing more then a lint and hair magnet. I doesn't matter how often you use a lint roller. I wish I would have known the material was a lint magnet before I took the tags off because I would have returned it for something else. On a more positive note the jacket is very warm.

I love the coat but I read that I should size up and I wish I hadn't. Other than that love it.

I live in Minneapolis and was hopeful for this to be a super warm coat. It is not, I have a simple (way less expensive) puffy down coat from REI that is much warmer. This coat is comfortable and it looks good but isn't up for cold wind chills. Recommend the coat generally but not for single digit or cold wind chill days.
