Too small even 1/2 size up

I liked the look of these boots and read all the reviews. However, even after sizing up 1/2 a size, they were just too narrow to be comfortable.

These are my first pair of SORELs and they did not disappoint! I searched high and low for a shoe that would match my specific needs -- keep feet warm and dry during the northern California winter (30-40 degrees F), have good traction, comfy for moderate hikes or nature walks with my toddler, and look decent enough that I could wear them ALL day (i.e. from hike to farmers market to a casual restaurant/the mall -- all in one day). These boot-sneakers check off all the boxes! The thick soles and chunkier look did take some time getting used to since you don't feel the ground as much, but soles had good traction. The sizing does run 1/2 size small. I am a true 8 and sized up to a 8.5, which fit perfectly with normal socks. If I wanted to wear very heavy socks, the shoes would've been too small. The toe vamp area where the bridge of my foot is was a little tight while the ankles were very loose, but overall not a dealbreaker. I thought tightening the laces would've hurt the bridge of my foot even more, but it really helped with the comfort. I wish there was a way to tighten the ankles even more but this only bothered me when I was doing a hike. For real hikes, though, I will still stick with my Tevas. Overall, would recommend even though the price is a little steep. But I'm willing to pay for quality, warmth, and aesthetic! These will last for years to come.

Unfortunately this pair of Sorel boots run on the smaller side. I normally wear size 7-7 1/2, and the 7 1/2 was way too small. They are sold out of any bigger sizes.

I love the way they look, but they definitely DO NOT RUN TRUE TO SIZE. They are on the smaller size - which is sad cause they unfortunately don’t have my size anymore. I am almost tempted to keep them and pray that they break-in -loosen up, cause they are so cute and the perfect mid high boot I need, but I know if I do, I will be crippled after I wear them. My friend loves them too, she is keeping them if I don’t cause they fit her- fingers crossed they get size 8 again!!

Reviews said to go up a size. I did and they are way too big. Now I can’t return. Waste of money.

Did not like them when I opened the box, did not try them on.

They felt tight, even though they are a 1/2 size larger than my regular size.
