So excited to be able to give my 5 year old son who wears an AFO on one foot/ankle his first pair of light up shoes!! I was nervous the tongue wouldn't open far enough without laces to slide his AFO in, but we were able to get them on with just a bit of a wiggle and push. It's also a big benefit to not have to deal with laces for this age and he can easily open and close the extra long velcro closure which gives him more independence and pride. Our only issue is that the right shoe does not light up. The left one does so he is fine with that (better than nothing!) but disappointed that the right one does not. We are in desperate need to replace the current shoes so not going to mess with a swap or return. It would be great if these shoes came in more color options. I would buy more right now. There are not many affordable options for kids with AFOs so I am really excited to have found these.

This is my second time buying these shoes for my son. He has wide feet and they’re comfortable for him. They are pretty durable — he’s an active 6 year old and wears them every day.

We love them, they fit over my sons braces sooo well! We normally have to go up a size or two to fit over the braces but they are so wide we only had to go up one size. Thanks for more ortho options stride right!

My son has really wide feet and these are perfect for him in the wide size. Very well made.
