I bought these boots in brown color. They are a nice balance between casual and rugged. I also ordered these with a wide fit so they're comfortable too.
The only thing I don't like are the loops at the top of the boots which catch my pants legs and makes me look sloppy. I cut them off.

These are nice boots but the first time I got them wet walking in fresh snow the water soaked right in the leather and discolored the brown. I had to buy a leather conditioner with colr to correct the leather. Its still discoloer if you look closely. They look like they are well built but they are not westher resistant AT ALL. Id say put a water repellent on them before ever using them. That might help. These Boots are very comfortable and sturdy feeling. I wish they didnt get discolored so easy. I actually really liked a boot for once....

Attractive leather, tall enough for snow, wide width is wide enough for warm socks, excellent soles are light but non-slip on ice. I love these 1912's !!

Got two pairs, black and brown. Wore these as walking boots and as dress shoes to work with long pants covering the ankle. Very comfortable and excellent ankle support, but within two weeks the speed hooks broke off the black pair, and a month later, the laces broke on both pairs in the same way. After a year or so of casual wear, the sole started to delaminate from the uppers and water started to leak in even from shallow puddles. Got it for a good price at 80, but I would have liked them better with higher quality materials. Good for urban wear, but I expect they would not hold up to heavy outdoor use.

The leather was good. The quick-lace hooks snapped off very quickly, within a few weeks of wearing them. The ones that remained tore through the provided laces, which I've had to replace. The loop of leather on the rear, to help pull the boot on, also ripped off.

These shoes had obviously already been tried on. I know that's going to happen but the creases in the boots were noticeable and it wasn't a good look. Shoes felt loose in the heel.
