I have had these boots for almost 2 months so far. They are incredible, I have owned several pairs of Docs before, and I do believe these are the first ones that breaking them in didn't make me bleed and cry. Undoubtedly this is because of the softer Nappa leather. But even though it is soft and supple, it still takes abuse. I wouldn't wear them to do construction, but I work at a full service fuel station here in Oregon, and have worn them literally every single day since I got them. The only complaint I have is that the toe cap is a little softer that what I would like. This means it dents, which makes bull polishing impossible and pointless. But, it's small lettuce to pay for comfort. I have loved this company and their products since I was a teenager, and it's good to see that even the Asian made boots are still up to snuff. When my taxes come back I'm buying at least 2 more pairs. The For Life boot, and probably a pair of capers.

Awesome. Just awesome. I have flat feet and walk all day at work. These are by far the best shoes I've owned. They are so iconic. I always wear a 9.5 and purchased the UK8. They fit perfectly.

This review is more about the size and fit. A lot of reviewers say they run large. It depends what you are used to wearing. If you have only worn sneakers, then yes, their sizing will seem large. But compared to a proper leather dress shoe, if anything Dr Martens run half size small. For comparison, I am a solid size UK8/UK7 in a leather dress shoe, brands including Paul Smith, Allen Edmonds, Trickers, Edward Green, Crockett Jones, Bass, etc. All size 8US/UK7. Now in Adidas and Puma (the only mainstream brand sneakers I wear) I am a size 9 or 9.5US, with the same fit. so a huge discrepancy. With Dr Marten I wear a size 9UK/8UK which are half size too large but is fine with an insole. If I were to get my normal 8UK/7UK in Dr Marten they are just a tad too tight with my toe right at the end of toe area which makes them impossible to wear since your toe will jam into the front as you walk around. Something to hopefully narrow down the your mileage may vary factor when it comes to fit.

These are the classic Docs I grew up wearing in high school forever ago. These were a gift for my husband. They fit according to size for him and are comfortable. I remember what a pain it was to break them in. He has had no problem what so ever with that! We are very happy with this purchase! Cant wait to order a pair for me! Shipping was great, they arrived super fast!

I bought these boots in the Grizzly Bear color and thought they looked great. I used to be able to wear Dr. Martens and thought maybe I still could, even though they only come in Medium width and I really am now a Wide. Well, they were beautiful boots, but I had to return them as they weren't Wide enough for me. So, if you have a medium foot, you'll love these boots. If you have a wide foot, don't even try!

I purchased these boots a few weeks ago and I am obsessed! I have seen a ton of people wearing these lately and thought I should try them, and I am so glad I did. The look is perfect, super edgy and casual but if you wear them with the right things, they can be dressed up too. I have heard horrible stories about breaking them in, but my experience breaking them in so far was not nearly as bad as I've heard. I wore thick, fuzzy socks with them and got a tiny blister, so I put a band aid on my heel and it was fine. Even after a few days of wearing, they loosen up a ton. They are now super comfortable and I have gotten tons of compliments! The quality of these boots is amazing so far, I would definitely recommend them! As for sizing, I normally wear a 7.5 and I sized down. They are a perfect fit, and do stretch out a bit after wearing. If you are in between sizes, size down. And if you are at all hesitating to buy these, do it! You will love them!

These boots are great. Cherry red arcadia is a great color. They are very comfortable and it only took two to three wears to break them in. I did some googling to figure out how UK sizing works and the fit was perfect. I have fairly wide feet and the regular width boot was fine.

These boots are great! They look even better in person than in the picture. I actually listened to some of the other reviews and ordered these boots 2 sizes smaller because according to some the size chart was inaccurate. I actually had to end up returning them because they were too small. So if you are wondering about the size FOLLOW THE CHART! The return process was completely seamless and customer service was great! They shipped my new size that same day and I got them the next day, then had 2 weeks to return them. Great experience!

I love Dr. Martens. They are so comfortable and so stylish! I have worn Dr. Martens for the past 5 years and I love it. Overall these are the best shoes overall to wear for winter and in cold places. I think Dr. Martens need to have prettier designs because I don't like them - all I wear is black and white because that's all that matches but overall I think Dr. Martens are fantastic!

I have had Doc Martens through the years and they have always been made of the finest quality leather that is supple and has a beautiful grain to it. The leather in these shoes is so phony looking that they could be pleather. They are not supple at all, no grain to it and just looks like a pair of shoes bought at Target. What happened, Doc Martens? The shoes I bought were made in Vietnam. I feel like Doc Martens has ended their era of excellence and has downgraded their excellent quality products to the garbage that I just bought. The only good thing about this purchase is Zappos and the excellent customer service that I received.

Received Dr Martens 1460 Greasy Blacks the other day. Arrived in 2 days. Quite happy about that. Happy with my purchase. Like a lot of the reviews say, Dr Martens tend to run a bit large. If you are between a size, go with the smaller size. Thank you Zappos for a great job and a great web site! Rock on!

These boots are great!! They do run extremely large, so go a full size down. Other than that, they are super comfy, durable and the leather feels great. Love the color of the heels as well. Great purchase. : )

This was my 2nd pair of Dr. Martens 1460. I had a pair years ago that were slightly too small, so I eventually got rid of them. I expected exactly the same product, but this pair doesn't have the same heavy lug sole. At first I was disappointed, but I realized these were lighter and about as rugged. So, now I love them. A little lighter and very comfortable.

Zappos is amazing! The return policy is amazing! Everything about it was so east and convenient, and they give you exactly what you what. Not to mention, they have a wide range of stuff to choose from. I always go with Zappos!

These are gorgeous boots and ever so comfortable. Have not yet worn them in the wintry weather but anticipate they'll be an asset as I navigate icy streets.

Doc Martens are definitely unique boots. There are two different types, those made in Asia, and those made in England. The English boots are just like the ones I owned 35 years ago when I was a punk in the late '70s and '80s. They are more expensive, but worth the extra cash. Back then, they had a flat insole and still do today. However, they now sell insoles that make them extremely comfortable. There are two types of insoles, the comfort style and the performance style. I tried both and the performance version is far superior. If you want the boots to be comfortable right off, get the insoles, your feet will thank you. Sizing, just follow the UK to US conversion chart and you'll be fine. My UK size 10 fits my US size 11.5 foot perfectly. Take care of the boots with the Doc Martens balm, and they will easily last you longer than you can imagine. My pair I bought in the mid-70's lasted me 20 years. The Asian version of the boots isn't as well made as the UK models. If you plan on wearing them once every other week when you go out, they will be fine. If you plan on wearing them every day, buy the UK made version. You'll be wondering in five years if and when they might finally wear out. I'm on my third pair, and I'm in my mid-50's now. They are fantastic boots.

They get comfy after a few wears. I recommend wearing them around the house for several hours to get them broken in. I had some soreness around the top, where the boots are laced, but not of a major concern. The soles are the most comfortable to walk around in. I've owned several pair since college and I purchased these for competing in step shows. A great choice!

These boots were more than I expected. The Union jack was awesome. They are sized as the chat they have you use. I would recommend using Zappos to my family and friends. I have already been asked where I got them and I told them Dr. Martens from Zappos. I LOVE 'EM!

Greatest shoe, boot whatever I've ever had! I have arch issues so I put extra support in mine. Comfortable, durable. I wear at my office job all day then to the clubs at night and my feet thank me! I love Dr. Matins I have two pairs black and brown! Get half size smaller than what your used to wearing they run a half size big.

I've been a Doc guy for a long time, but due to their high quality you don't need to buy shoes often because they last so long. I was hesitant to buy a new pair with recent reviews stating the quality has gone downhill. I am very glad I didn't listen to the reviews! I got my new pair the day before I left for the Sturgis bike rally. New boots usually take some time to break in and can make your feet hurt at first, so I was nervous. These boots were broken in right out of the box! I did a lot of walking around and riding with no problems or foot pains. I would highly recommend these boots and am completely satisfied.

I have a wide foot, the size 6 length wise was perfect but not width...size 7 way too big. What is up with shoe companies not offering half sizes!

Every person I've talked to has said that breaking in docs was a huge pain but that the end result always made it worth it. For me breaking them in was super easy and only took about a week. All I did was put some balsam on them and then wear them all the time. I originally got these boots because I needed something slip resistant for a kitchen job. However, they didn't really do that great of a job of being slip resistant. That wasn't a big deal to me though because after they got dirty on my first day I realized I cared too much about them. These boots look great and I'm hoping to wear them for years.

You can't miss with these stylish, comfortable and durable boots. I recommend the slightly more expensive Nappa leather as I think the boot just looks a bit better. With very little care, these boots can last years. I get a new pair every 5-10 years!

A men's 7 is not a women's 8, it is more like a women's 9. Either that or the sizing was wrong on these boots.
