Purchased these for an Alaskan trip. First day I wore them they wore a gigantic hole in the heel of my foot. Waited a couple of days and tried again and this time it ripped open that hole and caused me even more discomfort. Ended up throwing these out. For a brand like ON I would've expected a lot more. Very disappointed.

Significant design flaw on these. The top hook doesn't have ample cushioning behind it, so when you loop the lace around it and pull tightly to secure your ankle, the top hook digs into your ankle. It's very uncomfortable. Other reviewers have provided similar observations. Great looking boot and I wish it worked out, but this is a FAIL.
To add, I have owned several pairs of On Cloud / On Running regular and trail running shoes. All are super comfortable and have a great aesthetic, but they last roughly a half to two-thirds as long as my Asics. Basically, you need to come to peace with the idea that you're going to be buying far more frequently than with other brands that have greater durability.
