I loved my tapered sk8-hi shoes and wore them for years until they fell apart. So I ordered a new pair but when I opened the box I could see they were different than what I was expecting, there wasn't any padding around the collar of the shoes (the part closes to the ankles)
This makes the shoes somewhat uncomfortable to wear and makes it feel like you're wearing converse hi-tops. If I wanted converse I would have bought them. I want my old tapered skate-hi's back!!

These shoes are comfortable and cute but I must say that it is a little strange, they are not well finished, it seems to me that they do not have the same quality as other products from the same brand, I am grateful that I bought them at a discount otherwise I would be a little disappointed

I bought these for my daughter and went up a half size and it was too tight. We even removed the laces and couldn't get her foot in. We loved the style so went in the store to look for a size exchane but none of the workers have ever seen this shoe in store. We were sad, we ended up buying another style that my daughter liked.

The shoes are a great color in a vivid purple but the toe box is so tight that no matter how you loosen the laces it's not enough.

The shoes were very cute but they arrived late. When they arrived the box the shoes actually came in already had damages to it that happened before being shipped. Then the shoes had manufacturing defects. They had black scuffs on them and scuffs on the bottom like they had been walked in. Vans quality has gone so far down it's disappointing. Of course since they are collaboration shoe they are now sold out in my size and can't be exchanged so I'm stuck with a damaged pair.

The material around the ankle no longer has padding and is now a thin piece of material. They suck now, and that makes me sad.

I have to unlace them entirely to don/doff them. Hopefully they'll stretch out bc they're cute once on!

I had to re-lace the shoe to my liking for an easy on and off because it was hard to put on at first, the top heel bends and it's kind of uncomfortable. I don't really like the fabric because as I said before the top heel bends and its uncomfy and I think it has something to do with the fabric and speaking of the fabric bending the shoe in ways you normally would as you go about your day, it's uncomfortable BECAUSE OF THE FABRIC. I also have to wear longer socks, I think I need to break them in a bit and hopefully it will be better. I do like the platform though

been buying vans for years, but more recently my shoes barely last a year. they'll get tears in the bottoms that make water get in every time it rains.

Birthday present in the cutest print.
Unfortunately they hurt.
The tapered version of this shoe feels a bit cheaply made. I'm hoping a new insole helps.

The shoe itself fits great. The problem is the weird color names make it difficult to know how it'll actually look in person. Antler is more pink in person than the picture makes out.

Bought these while I waited for a custom order since I was in dire need of a new pair of shoes. Glad they were on sale when I got them bc they aren't worth normal price. Normally the shoes are white on the inside but the material is so rough that they've cut my feet so many times it's turned the inside red as well. I had to cover the inside with moleskin just to make these wearable. They also constantly come untied, I guess you can replace the laces but the ones they come with are not good and wearing them somehow makes me socks slide off while walking around in the shoes. They've got passable comfortability when all the above is NOT happening. If you need budget vans and have good socks or don't care about having to remodel the insides with moleskin then these are a good cheap option. But other then that, these are a disappointment and a half.

I wear men's and women's clothing interchangeably and I've been wearing a great pair of "men's" sk8-hi vans for a year with no complaints. But I needed a new pair and wanted a platform for extra height and style.
Tell me why when I compare my old pair to this one the quality has drastically dropped??? The high top ankle has no padding or support like my old pair does. The tongue on this shoe is actually more narrow and has no padding like my older pair. In fact, it looks like it has raw edges? The canvas is completely exposed and will start to fray after some wear. Also the shoe lace holes on my old pair of Vans have metal grommets to reinforce them and prevent fraying and tearingthese platforms don't! It's just I reinforced holes that over time will probably fray, stretch, and/or rip.
I'm tired of brands making higher quality products that they market to men, but less options in style. Meanwhile women get a ton of cute style options but the quality drastically decreases, and usually for the same price!
Anyways, I'm returning these and looking for platform high tops elsewhere.

My dtr is 11 and wears a size 4 1/2. I was worried the size 5 (smallest available) would be too big, but we had to unlace the entire shoe just to get her foot in it and then her toes were right to the end. Exactly the style she loves, but womp womp on the size.

I like the way they look and they're very comfy but the ankle part rubs so hard it literally made me bleed. I've never had that problem with vans before so I'm slightly disappointed.

The shoes are super cute but sadly the quantity is not what I expect from Vans. The sole separated after 2 weeks of normal wear.

I have been wearing Vans for years. The quality is not the same plus these sneakers squeak when I walk, and they rub the backs of my ankles..

I bought the peach and they are cute but since the platform is heavier I would like expect the inside to be lined with leather like the regular sk8 hi

I have to almost completely unlace them to get them on. They are super cute and look as pictured, but impossible to get on your feet. I would not get them again.

Cute, but they were so stiff that they were nearly impossible to get on. I ordered based on their sizing chart, they were about a half size too big.

Disappointed in the decline from earlier models. Upper is thin, flimsy polyester with less stitching, and there are no grommets in the eye holes.

PROS:
color, style, fit
CONS:
Impossible to get on. The heel of the shoe is impossible to get on once your foot is in. Its a battle everytime so I never wear them.
