I love these shoes however; I ordered an 8 based on sizing recommendation from the site. I probably should have gone 8.5. You can see my big toes and they are stuff/tight on the ankle. I would return but my husband threw the return slip away!

I love these shoes but I can't find the right fit ordered 8.5 and my feet could not fit in the shoes ordered size 9 they way too big. Went to a store tried a 8.5 in the black with white checks fit perfectly. Not sure if the 8.5 I received from the warehouse was defective. Will buy another pair and see.

I love these shoes and get TONS of compliments. My only issue is after taking 50 steps outside and my first time wearing them the rubber started coming off in chunks at the bottom. It's at a point where I can live with it for now but definitely upset about how it looks after just putting them on. I'm used to wearing platforms so it wasn't a "how I was walking" issue. Super cute either way!

The only thing is it ripped the skin off the back of my ankle. Hurt so bad, blood down my heel and into the shoe. Other than that I love them. Lol

These are very cute, but the quality and comfort are totally disappointing for the price. The stitching/edging near the top of the laces is just rough and cheap looking. I have had them for around a month now and the rubber outer sole is peeling away from the bottom grid sole. I noticed how badly they hurt my feet after a day at work, so I purchased some very nice insoles. When I go to put them in, I attempt to peel back the insole of these shoes, only to realize it is a thin piece of felt glued to 1mm of low density foam - nothing to cushion your feet at all. I fully expected them to hurt my feet because I've been wearing Vans since high school and I'm in the thirties, but that's just absurd. For the quality/construction/comfort, in my mind, this is a $30 shoe.

2nd pair of these shoes. 2nd time having the outsoles break on the first wear. Both pair have ripped piece on toebox for light walking ONE DAY INDOORS

I really wanted to like the shoe. Don't get me wrong. Super comfortable. Love the style. But I bought this pair of shoes TWICE. And both times within a MONTH they fell apart. The sole on the side started lifting and it was ungluing almost. The first pair I was like factory problem let me purchase again and the same thing happened. I don't know if their is something wrong with the making of the shoes but my other vans do not do this. I really want to buy again but I don't want to waste my money just for them to tear in 1 month. Unable to return due to the time frame.

The photos are not accurate to what the shoes actually look like. Ordered the olive which appears like a nice green - what arrived was nearly tan? This is also my 3rd time trying to leave this review? Didn't think Vans would avoid posting less than perfect reviews but here we are?

I'm SO confused! I LOVE Vans and I'm an avid collector with over 100 pairs (ridiculous I know lol but they're all I wear!). I checked the site daily, So when I saw these olive platforms, I had to get them! To my surprise, When they came, the color was nothing like it looks on the website?? It's actually more of a tan than it is green? I'd say it's like a desert green if that makes sense, like 90% tan and 10% green Just disappointed because the photo on the site does not match that at all. Unfortunately this is not the first pair I've gotten that did not match the website, i'm not sure what's going on with their website and why photos are not matching, but it's pretty frustrating and definitely a new issue

Not sure what is happening to the quality of Vans. These state suede at the top, it is some sort of other material that feels like suede that has been rained on. The quality is not there, even the laces feel cheaply made while the price point of the shoe is high.

Stitching is unfinished inside shoe, inconsistent with other shoe.
This size M9.5 is at least 1 inch shorter than the size M9.5 Stackform I have on.

I do not like the chickered vans because they're not true. White don't like the. Off-white with the true white stripe is not appealing at all. And when I was in the associate said that's one of the biggest complaints of this style of shoe is that it's not a true white. And then you put the white Van stripe on the side. I'd and it just don't look appealing together. You need to rethink that and make everything white or everything off-white.

These shoes are cute, but they broke pretty easily. The canvas and midsole started separating only a couple weeks after I got them and recently, after about half a year of wear, the whole sole split in half. My other vans, the non-platform version of these, have lasted me twice as long and I had expected these to do the same. I enjoyed them while they lasted, but definitely won't be buying again.

Break these in first because they are very stiff. These rubbed my heel and the front of my foot where the tongue of the shoe should flex. It did not. These look great but need breaking in before prolonged wear and were not comfortable like my other Vans.

I purchased these vans in early April and now in mid June they're already falling apart. The sides are peeling apart :( I'm very disappointed in the quality of these. Wish they were well made like all of my other vans!

In the picture they look pink, but in person they are more of a lilac. I'm not a fan of purple, let alone pastel purple.
