Finally got to put my shoes to work at a 1/2 marathon trail run!!! Totally impressed! They were so comfortable on both 8.5 miles of muddy, water crossings, and climbing up rocks. Then on the 4.5 miles that was on road, they again so comfortable. What I was most impressed with was that they didn't stay caked with mud. The mud would fall off the tread after a few hundred feet. Also, at the water crossings, my feet were totally submerged in water but the shoes drained and didn't feel water logged after a minute or so of running. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

I have a terrible time getting a good walking shoe to fit properly and give me support and these checked all of the boxes for me! I have a wide instep and a more narrow heel and it doesn't leave me a whole lot of options for good footwear, but I've been walking 5 miles at a time in these and have had no problems at all.

I really wanted to like these trail runners. I loved the color, the arch, the shorter, responsive stack, the soft mesh over the toe box, and the shape was a great fit for my slightly narrow feet. And unfortunately, I have weak ankles. Sadly the soft upper didn't provide enough support. I wish Hoka would make a version with a bit more support through the sides of the upper.

I have several pairs of Hoka shoes. I did not know much about this model, but purchased based on reviews from folks who just loved the Torrent. While I love the Hoka brand, and love the color of this model, I have issues with the support/comfort of the area where the ball of my foot hits. There's not the amount of cushion or "spring" I would prefer. The heel is fine and the arch is good, but if I'm on my flat feet all day, the balls of my feet are very fatigued and sore in this shoe. I'll likely wear it at times when I know I'll be sitting a lot and not have concentrated standing or walking all day.

The fit of the shoe is fine; however having to tie my shoelaces every time I am walking is very annoying. I tie them tight every time before I head out on a walk. This should not be a problem with shoes this expensive.

The cushioning is thin and hard, I jog 6 miles a day and it's uncomfortable. I bought a new insert to replace what comes with it, let's see what will happen, hopeful it helps. I like the look though but that really doesn't matter. Btw, this is my sixth pair of Hoka, the best for me is speedgoat. 5 and next is Rincon.

I walk daily and was looking for a comfortable shoe that would last so I thought I’d spend a little more but these feel more like a hiking shoe than an athletic shoe. They’re hard and stiff. I’m not sure about how long they’ll last because I’ve only had them for 2 weeks. I’m not impressed and won’t purchase them again.

Firstly, I need to point out these are trail runners and made for trails. I was surprised before buying these that so many reviewers used these for everyday. They are not designed to last for this type of use. I'm an avid hiker and trail runner and have been through a number of Hoka - Torrent 2's in my time which i love. I couldn't find my fav colour in the Torrent 2 so it was time to upgrade. My first run was a shorter run of 5km on the trails. The grip was great but I found the run uncomfortable, with pain and a mark on my left arch after running. The Torrent 2 were so comfortable from the get go so this wasn't a good start. I looked at the return policy and unfortunately after wearing outside I can't return them. So I decided to give them another go, lacing them not quite as tight this time on a 10km run. This strategy avoids the rubbing under the arch, but makes for an awkward run and man my knees and joints are definitely not handling the run quite as well. I've done a couple of runs since but honestly I think I'll just go back to my treadless Torrent 2's and keep looking for another brand because my knees hate these new runners. A good pair or shoes are so important for trail running, its not worth the pressure on your body wearing bad shoes. However they have changed the design between the 2 and 3 just does not work for me. Leaving this review for other trail runners weighing up the change - because i was hunting for this before making the switch.

I am on my feet all day, and have 4 other pair of Hokas. These do not have the same level of support or cushioning than the rest. They are stiff, and definitely not for anyone with plantar fasciitis.

I have been wearing Hoka Torrents for 10 years. The tread on my newest Hoka Torrent's failed after just 2 months. It is literally flapping off the bottom of my shoe. When I contacted the company for warranty, they said I have to mail them in at my expense for "evaluation" leaving me with no trail runners in the meantime. This is unacceptable. Even though I have had great experiences with these shoes for a decade, I will think twice about buying again from Hoka. Beware: the quality isn't what it used to be.

I purchased these shoes after my very first purchase of Clifton 9 that I love but these shoes did not live up to expectations. They are hard and failed to give me the support that I received from the Clifton 9. I am so disappointed. I hate I wasted money! Ugh!

I never even wore the sneaker. The heal was very hard. Cushioning was no different than other, much cheaper, sneakers.

This shoe is VERY narrow. I always get the same size in hoka brand shoes and thus model was very different.
