I am a nurse and work long 12 hour shifts. These are the only shoes that still have my feet feeling good after each shift! I recommend them time and time again and now several of my coworkers are equally obsessed!

I immediately loved this shoe. It fits snug, like a hug. Not too big or to narrow anywhere. I think I definitely will be looking at other colors of this shoe for sure!! I Also think my runs have been longer with these. It just feels right.

I absolutely love the Mach 5 and thrilled it stayed true to the Mach lineup. It is an amazing shoe with comfort above any shoe I have previously owned. If you are looking for long lasting comfort you will not be disappointed.

Lightweight and springy. Lots of cushioning but don't look as clunky.

I love the style, the fit, and the performance. I had the Cliftons which I liked but the Mach 5 feels more performance oriented for training and racing.

I was having horrible hip painso bad I had a hard time walking through those big box stores! I found Hokas in a community sport shoe store & have yet to wear a different shoe. Don't even think about my hip anymore!!! I have highly recommended Hokas to family & friends & many have purchased the shoe. What a GREAT product!!!!

Enjoying this shoe. Bought Bondi's always but they stopped working for this old lady. I have two previous buys that are brand new that I can't wear.

I have an ongoing issue with my feet and haven't been able to find the shoe that works best. Walking miles in this in Europe my feet and legs didn't hurt at the end of the day and ankles didn't swell.

I love this shoe for outdoor running and indoor elliptical-use. It is very lightweight and supports my feet well!

Completely happy with these shoes

As a college track athlete, I've always heard of how great Hokas shoes were for runners, and I decided to finally see for myself and get a pair. Originally I was going to get the Clifton 8 but when I saw them release the Mach 5 I immediately went for them. The Profly technology in these shoes is magic and makes your runs feel effortless! Each steps springs you back up and the support in these shoes is the best I've ever had out of any shoes I've owned. Hoka knew what they were doing with this one! They are so comfortable, and if your feeling unsure whether you should get them or not, give them a shot! You may end up loving them the moment you put them on like I did! As soon as I put them on and took a test run I knew these were the ones. The reinforced support surrounding the ankle is an amazing addition to these shoes and helps keep your foot stable as well as your running posture. I also noticed that these helped improve my running posture and foot landing to where it is more relaxed and natural, compared to other shoes I've had where they were no help at all. The color choices are all beautiful too and the thinner tongue on the shoe makes everything so comfortable! These shoes are also lightweight and I don't feel like they weigh me down at all! All I can say is wow, I will definitely be sticking with Hoka for any running shoes I may need and I'm so happy I took the chance and went with this brand. Great job Hoka!

I love to walk on trails on the mountain and these shoes make it possible. I was beginning to have ankle pain because I was wearing the wrong shoes. According to articles that I read, I need good cushioning to keep the pain at bay. These Mach 5's have done that and I feel like I am walking on clouds. They fit great and seem to give me the support that I need. Now I can walk for as long as I want without ankle pain. I will be buying another pair in a different color. I do have to end by saying that I rarely write reviews, but in this case I felt compelled to tell everyone what fantastic, comfortable shoes these are!!

I work long 12 hour shifts at a hospital. And I'm on my feet too long for someone with plantar fasciitis. The minute I put these shoes on I immediately knew they'd be heavenly to work in! Testing these babies out tomorrow. ;)

These are great on the treadmill, but not for running outside. Instant pain from my ankles to my hips the minute I step on concrete. I'll keep them for winter running inside!

Great to walk 6+miles in. Toe box is smaller than Mach 4. There need to be better colors.

I need new walking shoes, and found these at a sale price, which was totally great. When they arrived and I found the sole substantially thinner than my other pairs, I was concerned they would not offer a sufficient cushion. I was totally wrong! In spite of the thinner sole, they are extremely comfortable. The only thing I don't like about them is the tongue, which also is very thin and gets pushed inside the shoe whenever putting them on. It is somewhat difficult to hold the tongue and push my foot into the shoe at the same time. It also has a higher than normal heel tab, but it is not at all uncomfortable.

I often find a running shoe that I like and then suddenly it is discontinued. I'm trying the Mach 5 as a replacement for my latest discontinued shoe. So far, it's ok for short runs not sure about longer runs.

I like these shoes, they're super comfortable but i don't love them. they definitely feel like and breathable for sure and there's lots of support

I did have to add inserts as there wasn't enough cushion in the heel.

I tried these on in store last year, so I felt good about purchasing my normal shoe size but they're definitely extra roomy. Based on other reviews it seems like they may have started sizing these differently at least with US sizes. I'd go based on your European size instead! I noticed the 6.5 that I bought corresponds to EU 38 which is not consistent with most size charts.

I love Hoka. Getting a new pair makes my feet happy. But, the last two pairs are bigger than previous sneakers in the same size and style. I have the old ones and can visually see that the new shoes are longer. I'll get a half size smaller next time.

So I bought these for the comfort level. My feet have become sensitive to hard soled soles, and shoes with little support. These have made my walking much more comfortable. I feel like I'm bouncing when I walk. The toe of the shoe is a bit wider, but still great for a B width. I ordered a size 9, and was surprised how roomy they are. My toes don't touch the front, and they have a lot of room for comfort. I don't care for the heal protrusion on the outer shoe, but I guess that's important for runners. I will definitely be back for more, once I pay these off.
