I like the original bindi material better. The new mesh is harsh, stiffer. I have problem feet and ordered the man's shoe instead of the woman's. It is wider than the woman's but the sole is so spread out, it feels like snowshoes. I wish they had a. Extra wide in the woman's then I would t have to go to the man's.

So I purchased a Bondi X that I ended up exchanging for Bondi 8 thinking it'll be better. My 8 arrived but hadn't tried it on until a few days ago. I immediately felt the same discomfort level in the arch area that I felt with the X (arch sitting on sole of shoe) and I was about to return it until I decided to place the insoles that came with my Gravity Defy shoes I had been wearing for 12 months. Oh boy, did it make a difference!!! I realized then that the X would have felt a whole lot better had I used my inserts from Gdefy. My advice to HOKA is for them to fix their insoles and make them more comfortable and remove the thin insert, especially if they're recommending Bondi 8 for people with plantar fasciatis and heel pain. No, the inserts from gdefy is not a custom orthotic, it came with the shoe which cost the same as Bondi 8. I'm trying hokas because my Podiatrist just wanted me to try a lighter shoe. I am not returning the bondi 8 because I use my old inserts with it. I will stick with my Gdefy shoes moving forward since I don't have to purchase extra orthotics for them. Still a bit disappointed with hoka.

BEWARE: Now that Hoka has added wide width shoes, the standard width shoes are now narrower. These used to be exactly the right size for me and my insoles. Now they are too narrow.

The wide was still too narrow. Got blisters on both sides of the feet after wearing them one day.

I have used a different brand for over 10 years due to the toe box design, but recent reviews slammed their durability, so I decided on Hoka 4E width after measuring my foot width per instructions. The Bondi 8 4E has the width covered, but it narrows towards the toe which pushes my small toe under the adjacent toe, which caused both small toe nails to develop blood under the nail. This happened recently after wearing them to walk distance daily. May have to go back to the other brand and chance the durability issues with shoes that are very expensive, as both are the same price.

I ordered my shoes in a X-Wide width, and have worn them around the house for the past few days. Even though they are sized as x-wide they feel tight. The length is perfect, but my forefoot is cramped. I have been a steady user of New Balance for the past thirty + years and never had a problem with sizes. I purchased your shoe due to it having increased cushioning. Sorry I spent so much money on a shoe that does not work for me.

Durability seems to be good construction is good had for about a month and color fading around the bottom rim of shoe. Very comfortable walking and running. Not good for driving. I drive a lot and these shoes are not for that.

I've been wearing the same size of HOKAs for years, so I was unhappily surprised when my usual size was at least a full size too long. I wish I could post a photo. Then I walked around in them too figure out if I should get a smaller size and they were much too firm underfoot. I also tried the Clifton 9 and they feel more like the Bondi of the past. Dear HOKA, please stop "improving" on perfection!

Ordered 10.5 men's Bondi 8 and received. It is too short and too narrow for my foot.

Shoes feel fine for everyday use. Like the stability but seem way over-hyped. When I did my three mile walk in them they aggravated the outside of the front of my feet. Bought from their website but when into my account to exchange them (12 wide ti 12 extra wide) it said these were ineligible for return. So buyer beware on that one. I am 6'3" 240 lbs and my Sketchers Max cushion have more cushion for me and are comfortable for long walks.

I own about 6 pair of Hoka and love them but l just purchased my 2nd pair of Bondi 8 and like the first one they hurt the sides of my big toes. I love Hoka but not the Bondi 8. I definitely will purchase Hokas again.

Was fine. But it lost its bounce and softness much earlier than I was expecting based on previous Hoka Bondi models, and I felt it in my plantar fascia on the right foot. That recovered when I switched back to my Bondi 7s (which were not yet worn out).

I was really excited to get these shoes. I am an older runner and based on reviews I purchased these for cushioning and joint relief. Unfortunately the extra cushioning does the complete opposite and I feel like I am running in oversized clunky blocks.

I bought these for everyday use. My wife and I have 4 pair of other Bondi shoes for workouts and running. I wore these Bondis for a half day and had to return them. The insole had such a rough, sharp edge it wore my skin raw even through medium weight socks. Hopefully replacement pair will be okay.

My first pair of Hoka's were the Bondi 7 and I loved them!! So true to plush brand as were very very cushy and comfortable. The Bondi 8 not even close! No cushion feel at all and noisy with each step. They aren't worth the 175 I paid. I will be returning and find a new brand as the 7 isn't available. Very sad and disappointed as I highly recommended them.

I really loved the shoe for it's soft cushioning and low drop, however the 4e was too narrow and I had to return the shoe.

I sent my Bondi 8, black on black, back because the top material turned decidely navy blue. I assumed it was a defect. When the replacement shoes came, the top material looked definitely black, out of the box. After wearing them 3-4 is mild dry weather, the top material now is navy blue. What is up with this? I love the shoes but I wanted black, as I sometimes wear them with somewhat formal wear.

The regular width is too narrow, I have never had to buy wide shoes before. After wearing these shoes for a few hours into a really long day of walking at Disneyland it was very apparent that I should have bought wider.
