Lots of cushion - moderate structure - very helpful for metarsalgia recovery

I absolutely love the “cushion like” feel of these slides. They’re extremely comfortable and a must have for anyone that prefers a thicker sole. In my opinion, they run true to size, however, they appear to slightly shrink when exposed to the sun or other sources or hear for a duration of time. (Which has been my experience with other slides/clogs of similar material.) Because of this, I would recommend going up a size unless these will only be used in a climate controlled environment. These are the “HOKA Bondi” of slides! Just ordered my second pair!

I am really picky when it comes to fit of shoes. I just started going to the gym religiously and have planter fasciitis in one foot. These are awesome. My feet feel like I am walking on air. I am sure I will have to buy gym shoes now, everyone that I have talked to can not say enough good about these shoes.

Two major attributes: They're stable/secure, and are OUTSTANDING for plantar fasciitis! Snug across my wide forefoot, but not overly tight. They're nicely forming to my feet the more I wear them. Superb arch support without forcing the arch upward. These are VERY stable slides - I can briskly walk my big dogs through the 'hood and never feel off balance or like I'm going to lose a shoe. The grooved pattern in the footbed hugs the bottom of the foot, offering a secure grip. These somehow make my posture more erect when I'm walking - they align my feet and legs better than any other sandals or slides (except for my Birks, which do the same, but these slides are so much more cushioned). Anyone who has had slides (or mules, or many sandals) knows they're notorious for falling off - these don't! The foam is firm when you first put them on - don't let that dissuade you from cruising out the door - they'll quickly "break in" and soften slightly, but without any sacrifice to stability. I have ridiculously tender skin, yet no rubbing or blisters from these. They provide a little bounce in your step and have a curved rocker-type sole (that took some getting used to because I'm used to flatter outsoles, but now I love it - the rocker sole makes me use my calves more). My only complaint - a tiny one - is that my feet get sweaty (because this is jungle Floriduh, and everything here stays damp in summer). I may order my next pair in a size larger to see if they'll accommodate winter socks. They're easy to rinse/wash. There was no plasticky odor when I opened the box - no offgassing from the EVA. Excellent bottom tread. Super secure on uneven terrain (dogs take me off-road sometimes). I gotta admit I didn't want to spend this much on a chunk of vinyl acetate foam, but I now concede they're well worth the cost and I'll certainly be buying another pair. One more thing - I usually walk with a pronounced limp from extreme chronic heel pain in my R foot and a previous knee injury; when walking in these I have no pain (none!) and my gait is even. Good job, Hoka :)
