I bought these for my 5yr old. They are super cute, But so tight on the top of his foot. Tore his skin, and gave him blisters. DO NOT BUY if your child has wide feet.
He can only wear them to the pool and short trips. No long walks

True to size. The back strap flips up to make them slides. When the strap is down, they stay on well. They’re light weight and my son is able to play in them all day.
