Why I wear Trotters - I have been diagnosed as having neuromas in both feet and advised to have surgery. A friend who had the surgery told me to try changing the shoes I wear to avoid the surgery. Trotters is the only brand I buy now, as they seem to have more padding for the ball of the foot, and I am able to wear them without aggravating the nerves in my foot. Doris is a great shoe--I bought the microfiber version, and it is very comfortable. I may order the same style in other colors. This shoe is dressier than some other Trotter styles, but it still has the low heel that I need.

I like this shoe - This shoe is the perfect style; good with pants or dress casual. It's comfortable, even for walking! It's hard to find much variety in 3A width; I wish the Doris came in other colors and in leather, because I'd definitely order another pair or two!

Would purchase again! I ordered this style in two colors and was very pleased. Because it is so hard to find narrow shoes, choosing a basic pump to wear with business suits is a challenge. I am on my feet all day and found this style to be extremely comfortable from the beginning. Another bonus for the shoe--I also suffer from plantar faciatis and no arches and wear an orthotic in my sneakers. Even without an orthotic, this shoe is a dream.

EXTREMELY COMFORTABLE - I have wide feet that tends to swell early in the day. When I received my delivery from Zappos, I was hesitant to put on the shoe, DORIS. My feet had swelled. But a miracle happened. The shoe fit like a slipper. I didn't have to break it in. It was soo comfortable! Very stylish. I got it in red. I received compliments the very same day I wore it.

Trotter's Doris - Trotter's Doris shoe fits well and is well-proportioned and true to size, both in width and length. I wear a 10.5AA and am hard to fit because I have narrow heels and have trouble finding a shoe that I don't step out of due to the heel area being too wide or rubbing the heels due to too much heel space. This shoe is better suited for dress rather than all-day wear because the sole is neither padded nor shock-abosorbent.

Shoes that fit- I have extra wide feet. This was the third pair I ordered on a whim. Good thing. The other 2 pairs came in the wrong size and I needed them for the weekend.*The order came Friday night.* This pair did the job. It was snug at first across the top of my foot but I had no choice I needed the shoe. After about an hour the shoe fit perfectly. I wore them for 7 hours and my feet felt great.

WOW!!! Another great pair of shoes. I found this shoe to be sassy, classy and true to fit. Zappos, you have done it again!!! Keep up the good work for the hard to fit ladies.

The shoe is pretty, but too narrow for my hard to-fit foot.

I needed a basic little heel for a professional event. I ordered my usual 9 but these were too small all the way around. I got my feet in but it would have been so painful to wear so I returned them. They look as pictured.

The material feels very good, it has a little give without stretching out too much. Heel height is good for church & work. Navy color is good (as they can often be too bright or too dark) Traditional/Conservative style which works for my age, but I wish it had a little bit of zing! I am glad the Doris style does not have any metallic/metal embellishments - it makes them more versatile for me.

The heel was not high enough (I'm 4'10") and the right shoe measured 1/2 size bigger than my normal size, though my right foot is my larger fit. The left one was true to size. If you could find me two that are the size of the left of the enclosed shoe, you'd have a sale.

Fit was fine, but I felt like my weight was focused in my heel which has little cushion.

I really liked the style and fit. But the top edge of the shoes rubbed against my ankle bone. After a few minutes of walking, it became very uncomfortable. Sadly I had to return them.

I have been a 9w or a 9.5w in many shoes that I have worn so far; in these I am probably an 8.5w. The fit and comfort is very good; I like that it covers more of the foot past the toes than most models that I have tried, and I like the flat toe. I would have loved to wear these. It is the 'seams' that I dislike. The ones on the toes look like they are splitting, making the shoe look like it is falling apart.

This shoe was a little loose in the left heel. My foot's fault...not the shoe's. The support is not what I prefer but am keeping the shoe.

Extremely comfortable and wide enough for my toes! I do wish they were cuter, though. I may try some other pairs and exchange them if I can find something cuter but equally comfortable. I ordered the 6.5 EE and they are true to size. It's always really hard finding shoes that are the right length, stable, and still wide enough in the toe. These are it. I've only tried them on and not worn them at length, but comfort reigns supreme. I've tossed too many shoes over the years.

I was looking for a low-heeled black leather shoe, and Trotters Doris filled the bill. I have a narrow foot, but the narrow I first ordered was too narrow. The medium width was far better. The shoe is simple and elegant, and it works perfectly with the outfit I ordered it for. The leather is supple, the construction appears to be solid. A great buy at a good price!

Very cute shoe and just what I was looking for in terms of style, heel height, etc. The toe box area is slightly narrower than I would like so is a bit snug, but not enough to return the shoe. If I had to wear them for 8 hours a day, I maybe would not keep them, but I will only mostly wear them to church on Sunday. I have a narrow heel so need the narrow shoe, but sometimes that affects the toe box width as well.

Wonderful shoes. The fit is nice. I have wide feet and a bunion and I'm cautious when it comes to dress shoes. These are winners.

Beautiful shoe and well made. Needed low, comfortable, dressy black shoe. Found sizing much smaller for me than other high end shoes. I am a 7 w or 7 1/2 med and there was no way o would be able to wear these. Will need to order a size up maybe?

I love the styla and the low heel but I ordered a wide width but it felt narrow.
