I love my new Trotters. Purchased for work, I needed a comfortable boot style shoe with practicality and style. I love the simple clean line design, the feminine look. They are snugger than I thought they'd be, but my last pair of slip-on shoes became so loose after a while of wear. They actually became too big and got difficult to walk in. Wearing a thinner pair of socks helps. Thanks Zappos for speedy delivery and always great service! I ordered 12:30pm on a Thursday, and received the next morning by 10am! Wow!

Was looking for Clarks, which I had heard were comfortable, but they didn’t have any in my size in the styles I wanted. Clicking on the suggested alternatives, these got good reviews for being comfy. I got the last pair in my size, in brown. They fit like a glove, and are very comfortable for all-day wear. My only complaint is the noise from the clacking heals on hard pavement. And no thick socks--that’d be too tight a fit.

Overall, I'm liking this shoe. It felt a bit snug at first, but is loosening up with regular wear. It's comfortable all day and I can be on my feet without problem.

I think this is a very attractive, basic shoe. The size I ordered (10 B) is correct, but the heel is very loose. If I keep the shoe, I will need to find heel "tabs" to put in the shoe for a secure fit. I thought I might be able to wear the AA width and ordered it, too, but the toe box was too narrow for me.

I ordered my usual size 9 regular and these fit perfectly (with thin socks). Pro: I was able to wear them all day at work from day one without any blisters at all. This is my 2nd pair of Trotters that didn't require breaking-in time. Con: The heels are very slippery. I had them replaced on my other pair and will have to do so with these. I think they are worth the hassle.

Looks like a boot - I recently bought two pairs of Trotters Ash. One pair replaced a pair I've worn out. The other was a new color. I love that they look like boots with long pants. I had to buy 1/2 size larger to get the width I need (usually wear 9M; bought 9.5M). I have a high arch. I tried my usual size in a wider width, but it was too wide. With the 9.5M, I had to put heel protectors in one pair to take up some of the extra length. The other pair was fine. I'd buy them again. It's hard for me to find a shoe that I like that also fits well.

Trotter's Shoe review - Overall I am pleased with my purchase of the Trotter's shoe that I ordered. The length was perfect, but the AAA was still a bit too wide. I purchased an insole to wear inside the shoe and it now fits well. They are very comfortable and did not require any break-in time.

The only problem that I noticed is that on the outside/ inner of the shoe where the black stretch is the stitching is starting to pull up. Like when you get a snag in your pantyhose but it doesn't tear. Otherwise that that the shoe fits, feels great.

Nice basic - This pant shoe looks like a boot with nice easy style, comfy toe box and non-slip sole. Runs nearly a full size long for my barely 12M foot, but an 11.5 takes added arch support well, which I need. Squared toe minimizes my long foot!

Nice basic shoe. I have really wide feet, so finding nice (stylish) shoes is hard. Zappos did not have my usual size (7.5 WW), but I ordered in 8 WW. The shoe is high enough on my foot that the half size larger seems to fit ok. The width is great and they feel comfortable right out of the box. They aren't exceptionally stylish, but for plain black shoes, they work.

Trotters Ash - I am an f/a and work very long days. This is a very good looking shoe with either pants or a skirt, but not up for long days. After wearing for awhile, maybe they will be. I did buy another pair as to wear when not working. They fit nicely. I do really like the shoe!!!

I have this shoe in brown and wear it all the time so ordered it in black. They need a little breaking in which I don't remember with the first pair, but I'm sure I'll wear them often. They go well with dress pants and jeans. I have a very narrow foot and the slims are just right.

Great for big feet - Although I had to go up a size, this shoe does not look large for my big feet. They are very comfortable and the narrowing toward the toe creates sleek line. I would order them again!

Good all-purpose shoe. I have this shoe in 3 colors now -- it works well with both skirts and pants.

Trotters Ash - Looks great with jeans or office clothes. Not for extensive walking.

Very nice shoe - I like these shoes. The first day I wore them, I wore them all day and they were very comfortable. I was comparing them with another pair and chose these because the heel looked like it would take bumps and bruises and still look good. I am happy with these and plan to buy them in a lighter color in the spring.

Trotters Ash - This shoe looks nice. I have a narrow foot, with especially narrow heels, so this presents a problem in getting a good fit. With this shoe, I need to put an extra pad in the heels and cannot walk far in them. One problem I've found with Trotters is that they're not consistent. One pair will fit well, but when I ordered another pair in the same design but a different color, they don't fit. I've returned many shoes to you.

The micro stretch version of this shoe is a comfortable dressy shoe that provides a nice, snug fit for my very narrow (3A) foot. Usually slim width Trotters pinch my heel, but not in this style.

Finally found them? I previously owned a pair of Connie shoes that had the micro stretch top and absolutely loved them. They are so worn out and I tried to find a comparable pair, but no luck. Found these online and thought they were the most comparable I could find. The heel is a bit shorter than the others, and they feel a little clunkier when walking, but I just need to break them in, I guess.

Needs a little breaking in - The is a great looking shoe. And if you have a narrow forefoot you should love it. Although I have a narrow foot this shoe squeezed my toes a little. I didn't return it because I know once I wear it for a few short periods of time it will break in.

These shoes look really great- polished and almost dressy- in the new micro stretch version they're offered in, but the stretch really is "micro": the fabric is not too forgiving. People might find them more comfortable in the leather version (other reviews suggest the leather is quite soft). Fit-wise, they seem to run a little short, and also narrow and shallow in the toe, but wide-ish in the heel, making it hard to correct the length problem by sizing up. I had to go up a half size and choose the narrow width to get anything close to fitting. (If you're a narrow, that's probably what to order in this style, although I have found most other Trotters "narrows" way too narrow.

Very comfortable from day one .. no "break in" time

Trotters Ash - This is a good looking shoe but I wouldn't rate it too high for a lot of walking. It is pinching my little toe a bit but I don't have normal feet. I will buy them again but will keep in mind to bring along a pair of walking shoes for shopping, etc.
