Theres no denying the timeless style of these boots. They arent cheap, but I know Ill wear these for years to come. Breaking them in wasnt as painful as I expected. I wear slightly thicker socks with these than I typically do for warmth and comfort. Only reason I gave 4 stars is that the toe is pointed more than rounded. Pictures are all from side angles, no birds-eye view. At first I was disappointed bc I prefer the rounded toe loom, but it is not such a big deal for me to return them.

These shoes are made with beautiful leather and are great quality. I dont love how pointed the toe of the shoe is, both aesthetically and functionally. I have narrow feet and sized up from 8.5 to 9 and it feels very snug across front of my foot with a bit too much space around the heel. Its still very warm here so I have only worn them around my house, but Im hoping this will improve with thick socks and additional wear to break them in.

I bought these boots full price last fall, and after owning for a year I wanted to share my experience with them! Firstly, water-resistant isn't waterproof; my boots took a little bit of water damage after the first few times I wore them on a mildly damp day, before I had gotten the chance to water-proof them. The damage is very minimal and I don't mind it very much, but I still wouldn't recommend wearing these boots on days with a chance of rain. As with most of Nisolo's styles, they definitely run narrow. I have normal width feet, and I have yet to find a style of theirs that doesn't squish my feet a bit. I don't mind as much with these boots, especially as they have broken in fairly nicely after consistent wear. After a year, they are still in pretty good shape, supple (after usual conditioning and care), with expected wear on the heels (will likely have to be reheeled later this year), and hopefully will be my reliable black boots for years to come. I did find last winter that the leather and rubber at the tips of the toes had started to separate, since I seem to drag my feet just a little and would occasionally scrape them, especially when going up stairs. I have since used shoe glue to reinforce the seams, and weatherproof them twice a season. Keep in mind that, especially last year, I walked a few miles around the city every day, mostly on cement, and so accumulated quite a few steps on these in a relatively short time. Overall, I find that I rely on these for more casual occasions, and avoid wearing them if I know I'll be doing any hard walking, due to the narrow fit and my desire to keep them in relatively good shape. I would love to see styles from Nisolo in the future aimed at wider width feet, as the narrow trend in footwear right now is hard on those of us with normal to wide feet.

These boots are for every occasion - dress 'em up, dress 'em down - these boots are great! Fit is true to size, toe is pointed a little more than I thought, but these are amazing! I already want to order my second pair! Customer service is on it with quick responses to any questions and my agent was extremely positive!

Great soles that dont slip and very waterproof. Finding them very slow to break in as they are still not comfortable in the toe box but hoping that they soften with age.

Love the style and that I'm supporting local artisans. My only issue is needing more support for my footbed due to high arches.

These are beautifully crafted shoes. Unfortunately, I had to return them because I couldn't find a size that fit properly overall. I usually wear a 9.5, but my heel would slip upwards with each step. When I tried a 9, it was too tight in the toe box and my heel still slipped. Bummer! I've been wanting a pair of Nisolos for years. Also, though it has a rubber sole to make it water resistant, the bottom of the shoe doesn't have much traction, so I wouldn't recommend these if your commute involves walking cobblestone streets or riding a bike.

Love these - great color, so well-made. My only complaint is they chafe if I dont wear a taller sock.

Opportunity to wear just yesterday..felt good, but might b too wide 4 me...but not it I have wool socks on.

As with any quality shoe a breakin period is needed. Love this shoe, just what Ive been looking for, but definitely need to put in the wear.

Absolutely love these boots, the only thing is that I have wider feet and they are slightly too narrow for me...but I make them work and wear them all of the time because they are so cute

Love these boots so much, I have them in black and brandy. I have noticed that they crease very easily where my foot bends, more than most boots. Is anyone aware of a way to prevent/help this issue? Does anyone use a shoe tree with these shoes?

These are gorgeous, well made boots. I got them heavily discounted, but I think they are worth full price. I am usually a size 10 and these do run a bit small and narrow, so I wish I could have sized up a half size, but that wasn't an option. The break in period has been a bit painful, but boy are they pretty. I also took them to the cobbler as soon as I got them to add a vibram sole which gives them some more traction.

I ordered these a half size too large as recommended, put an insole in and now they are perfect. Very comfortable with no break in period for me. They scuff really easily and it can be hard to buff out the scratches. But I guess it makes them look cool and worn in.

I like these boots, but boy did they take a long time to break in. I have a slightly wider foot and ordered the 7.5, which is my normal size. I actually ordered both but the 8 still seemed narrow but too long, so did not fit well. I really like these boots, they look great with the matte leather and the brow sole but I am still waiting for them to fully break in. Kind of disappointing.

Super cute, repells water really well. Pretty narrow and kind of rub on the sides of my toes, but I think the just need to break in

These boots are *almost* perfect! The color is gorgeous and the toe shape is nice and subtly pointed. I ordered a half size up per the recommendation and with thin socks my ankle slightly slips when I walk. But with thicker socks they fit well. I had rubber soles added, but I do wish the leather was weatherproof. Its hard to have fully dry days in MI. Overall super satisfied with my purchase! Will definitely be ordering from Nisolo again!

I typically wear a size 10 in my Nisolo mules; this was my first boot purchase and I also snagged a 10, though my actual shoe size is a 9.5W. The shoes are beautifully made and look great on my foot, but they run rather narrow and are uncomfortable to wear even after repeated use. I'm hoping that shoe-tree-ing them will help with that bit of extra give. If that's the case, I'll amend my review! I also wish that the Nisolo size run went larger. I would have had no hesitation in exchanging these for an 11 if that option was available.

This boot is very sexy and well made, but narrow and a tad difficult to break in. I would suggest sizing up a half or full size if youd like them to be more comfortable out of the box.

I love the quality. I'm still breaking them in. They aren't comfortable yet, but once I break them in I'm sure I will go back and change this 4 star to a 5 star review.

Great quality boots to add to my winter lineup. I went a half size up as the reviews suggested and that works well. Didn't have any problems breaking in as well! Unfortunately there were some subtle marks on the leather when I received them that made the boots look a bit worn, but not too bad!

I have really liked these boots so far! I did get blisters around the ankle when I wore them the first time, but I've been using longer socks and I think after the next few wears they will be broken in enough that I don't have to worry. The color is beautiful and they are comfortable enough to wear all day. Overall a great purchase!

The boot itself is gorgeous and materials very high quality. I deluded myself that my regular heel/wider forefoot would work - these are narrow.
