The shoes look great and the leather is really wonderful. However the sizing is problematic. The shoes seem to run 1/2 to one full size small. I recommend sizing up at least 1/2 a size from what you normally wear.

Length is appropriately sized but too tight on top. It scratches and rubs the top of my foot and hurts quite a bit. It's a shame because the shoes look great, but I don't think enough thought was put into comfort.

Beautiful shoes, but absolutely brutal to break in. My mens 8.5 have room to spare by the toes, but are brutally tight over the bridge of the foot. Great for occasions, but youll need a break from time to time if you wear them all day.

These shoes run very small. I got my normal size (10.5) and they are basically unwearable. I tried to stretch them out to no avail. Love the look, but cant wear them :(

I thought they would be soft suede, Instead, they were hard as cardboard.

These were exactly what I was looking for. I am really disappointed with every aspect of dealing with Nisolo. I went through read about sizing, went through the True Size that they suggest and ended up ordering a 1/2 size down from what I normally do because everything I read from Nisolo said to do that. I put in the order and I wait. And, they sent me the wrong shoes, they sent the woven ones which fit ok, but not what I wanted. They told me to send out the wrong ones and once they are dropped off to the carrier they will mail the right shoes. That didn't happen, I had to wait for the order to be delivered to Nisolo before they sent out the replacements. Finally, the right ones arrive and they are a little snugger than the woven, but I thought I would trust what I read about breaking them in and how long it takes. So I start wearing them around the house, I have hardwood floors so as soon as I do that I am committed to keeping them since they won't take returns for any worn shoes. I still had trust that what I read would work out. After a couple of weeks of breaking them in around the house while wearing socks several hours at a time, I decided to try without socks. They fit no better and destroyed my heels. The quality is nice that's why they get the two stars, the service, information on the site, and the sizing of the actual shoe are no good. I wish I knew what I could do with them, but putting them back on is not an option at all.

The first pair I received, the leather on the cusp of the shoe popped just trying to get my foot in. Left foot was fine. Nisolo was great and did an exchange for me. The new pair arrived today and I was excited that both shoes fit well. However, upon examining the shoe on my left foot, several of the weaves aren't sewn into the top cusp of the shoe and are just sticking out. The right shoe is fine this time. I love the look, I love the shoe... but I'm hoping these issues don't result in the shoe falling apart. I don't want to keep sending them back, so I'm crossing my fingers.

After sizing down one size (based on their sneaker style I own) and then back up a half size in this style I still couldn't fit into this shoe. The top of the shoe dug into my arch so much the ribbing left an indentation after only ten minutes of trying it on at home. The shoe was so short (top to bottom), I could barely shove my foot into it. For the record I do not have particularly oversized arches or wide feet etc. But if seems these are meant to fit more dainty feet. I didn't feel strongly like the breaking in process would work either because I would've been in total pain despite their guide. Unfortunate, because I really enjoy this brand.

I usually wear a 10 in the Alejandro woven, but even sizing up to 10.5, these are still way too tight across the top.

Great looking pair of loafers with two main issues- when they arrive they fit snug and take a few days to break in but once theyre comfortable enough to wear theyre a half size too big. They do not retain shape and its easy to stretch them out too much. My right shoe is stretched slightly larger than my left and theres nothing you can do about it. Where there should be a little bit of padding on the inside arch is an uncomfortable bump. It feels like I stepped on a piece of gum. Not sure what the return policy is but either each pair has a different standard of quality control or I should have ordered an entire 1.5 sizes smaller than my actual shoe size

Nice looking shoes, but I couldnt find the right size. The full size up was too big, and the half size down was too tight.

I liked the look of these, but the size 10 was slightly too big and the size 9.5 was slightly too small. That was disappointing, but the real issue is that I can only return this shoe for store credit. Hopefully some other style fits me, because now I'm trapped with nearly $200 of credit. Once I've used it, I definitely won't be ordering from Nisolo again.

I wanted to love these, but they werent quite right for me. Felt like a Toms silhouettea little cheesy. Would love these with more like a loafer cut. Also, werent that comfortable. Returned. :-(

The colour in the pictures is a beautiful rich brown, but the slipper that I received was more of a pasty tan.

I couldn't even get the shoe on! Very narrow and not flexible. At a price of $160 they should be true to size. Someone sized this shoe for women not men.

I couldn't even get the shoe on! Shoe is soooo narrow that it is truly sized wrong. Not even the slightest possibility of getting the shoe on and my foot is 12M my whole life. A shoe in this price range should be better sized and this shoe isn't even close to a medium width. Leather is stiff and cut is wrong.

I have a previous pair of Nisolo sandals that although expensive were easy to break in and comfortable. The Alejandro looks perfect on the models and in the box but once I put them on they became creased and unsightly. Furthermore the leather is hard so breaking them in is painful and leaves indents on the feet. Ive had them 2 weeks and have tried to break them in daily but can only keep them on for 20 minutes max due to discomfort. These shoes are meant for guys with slender fairy like model feet. Very unhappy with this purchase.

They look nice but they are uncomfortable and not worth the experience. They have an unfair return policy.

I've been wearing these casually for about a year and a half, and they're in really bad shape. The inside of the heel is coming off and the leather is fraying. I'm pretty disappointed, as I was expecting to own these for 4-5 years with no major problems.

It seems like this company puts more effort into the marketing their product then the actual product itself. Theres a lot of lovely photos from Instagram influencers wearing these shoes on this site, but the truth is they look nothing like the pictures. The coloring is flat, theyre barely tanned and they have a very weird shape. The top of the shoe is very tight across the top of your foot. Also, the stitching was uneven and clumsy in places and for 150 dollars thats unacceptable. I returned them the same day they arrived.

I was a little hesitant of ordering the Alejandro's after reading the mixed reviews on here. But the shoe looks amazing online, so I figured what the hell. I began fantasizing how the shoe would fit after placing my order, imagining it to be like Cinderella putting on her glass slipper, or Peter Parker putting on his spider-man outfit for the first time! To my dismay when the package arrived, I had received the 'Diego Low Top Sneaker'... I double checked my order and checked the side of the shoe box and sure enough it said "Alejandro Woven Slip-On" ON THE BOX AND MY PACKAGING SLIP. C'mon Nisolo, where is your Quality Control department?? To make matters worse, when I tried to exchange the wrong order that Nisolo had shipped in return for the Alejandro's, they were out in my size 9. Now I am paying Nisolo $5.95 to return the incorrect item that they sent me. While I am it, I might as well write the review for the Diego Low Top Sneaker...if you're thinking about this sneaker as well I would suggest you save your money. The shoe appeared to be made of poor quality and already had creases in the shoe.

I ordered a pair for my husbands birthday. They were too big though I ordered his normal size. The size I needed to exchange was not in stock so I couldnt exchange. So I end up with no present and basically paid to ship shoes across the country and back.

These are beautiful but cheap shoes. They look great but have begun to fall apart after only a month of regular use. Very hard to accept for $178. These shoes would benefit tremendously from full grain leather strips. The low-quality top grain leather that they're currently built with results in a weak, cheap shoe. I'm sure that Nisolo could still make a profit using higher quality leather. Again, the poor quality is pretty hard to accept for $178.

I do not typically write reviews but felt I needed to on these. If I was ranking purely on looks and craftsmanship I would give them 5+ stars...they are fantastic in that department and I received a lot of compliments while wearing. However, the fit is -5 stars if possible. I typically wear a 10 in slip on type shoes so I took advice from the description and reviews and ordered a 9.5. I received the shoes and they were so tight it was painful to walk. I exchanged them for a 10 to see if that would be better....they were so big that they were sliding off the heal and toe box was easily an inch from toe. I would say they were two sizes bigger than the 9.5. I spoke with Nisolo about it, double-checked the shoe size stamp and box...yep, it said 10. They said to try the 9.5 again but give it a few days and wear socks to help stretch. Well, I've been wearing every day for a week (well I only make it about half the day before switching to flip flops because my feet are in so much pain) and they are no better. The jammed toe box is actually stretching out the weaving and canvas is showing through. I am not sure if the 10 was just a bad miss print but as it stands these shoes are unfortunately going to recycle. Again, I LOVE the look and quality of the shoe but be careful with sizing. I hope others have better luck.

I tried 3 pairs of these slip ons and each pair had shockingly bad prodution quality issues including egregious blobs of glue, glaring leather discoloration, and rough and uneven cuts of leather.
