I bought these for the winter because they are waterproof and I’m very happy with them. I use them for the winter so my other dress shoes don’t get ruined in the snow and ice and they are very warm. Great purchase for northern states.

These boots look outstanding and are very comfortable on the bottom of my feet.
I took out 1 star for comfort because the wear in period for the back heel is taking a bit longer than usual for a leather boot. Overall they're still extremely comfortable though.

The shoe was a little long on me, but true to the size I had to order. Lots of cushion in shoe. The toe of the shoe looks long and gets narrow.

Daily use, casual wear. Great fit and finish, except the fact, that a nail had to be cut off in he heal bed.

very high quality, wish they laced up higher but i can have the shoe guy put another set of eyelets in them. the tongue is sewn in witha flexible material. they are roomy and generously wide. good quality.

My Midtown Chukka shoes are wearing fairly well on me. However, they are a bit snug in the toe/front area which I hope will possibly loosen up and stretch somewhat as I wear them over time. I should have maybe gone with a size 8 instead of a 7.5 but then I might have risked that size having too much space in the front. They are a waterproof shoe but have not experienced any wet conditions yet so I have no feedback on that at this time.
Anyway, I might adopt the old philosophy of "It's not what you wear, it's how you wear it" and be completely satisfied with them.
As a side mention .... Joe B. and Ryan T. on the Florsheim Customer Care Team were very professional and helpful to deal with!

These are stylish and comfortable boots, though after wearing them for the second time fon a rainy day....I discovered thay were not waterproof. The inside toe top and bottom for about 2 in. and removable liner were both soaked. I would say these are more water resistant than water proof. However, the leather did not stain like untreated leather can.

This boot was supposed to be waterproof; it wasn't. I'm not suggesting I was shoveling snow in them, but rather wearing them only in winter when there was some moisture on the ground. These boots were worn sporadically, at best. Within three months, the sole released from the upper portion of the boot. I should've spoken up at that time. Again, literally having worn them probably a total of thirty to forty times since I purchased them, they are now completely falling apart. I love Florsheim but not these boots. I take care of my footwear and bought these because of the waterproof claim for winter. Not a good buy.
