I would give these boots 5 stars but the insoles are not the anti fatigue that I'm used to, already falling apart need new ones

accurate fit and size, material is great because they don't cuff or get scratched as easily, I would definitely buy again.

Comfortable everywhere but the ankle. Just might have to wear quite a bit more to break in. Already worn 2 weeks

The shoes are great, however for the heel of the right shoe there’s not much cushioning and it caused a blister on my heel

toes feel fine under the metal toe, but the seams on the back under the side of my ankle just rubs a bit much, if i tighten it more then it becomes uncomfortable not too long after wearing them. had to wear these on the looser side so they dont rub as much. with or without insoles is the same feeling sadly.

Overall the boots were nice, but I have to return them. The right boot had something in the side structure that kept pushing up into my ankle and rubbed some skin off. Tried to adjust how tight the laces were but it didn't change anything. The left boot was fine. Not sure what the difference is.

The layers of material inside at the left heel was not finished correctly like the right. I have blisters from the additional material digging in. It wasn't enough to notice at first when I was at home walking around, but an hour or so into my shift, oh boy, I was out of them and back in my old shoes.

I love Timberland boots, more so than Redwings that I had for years. I really wanted to like these, but I tried 2 pairs of the Switchbacks and the right boot rubs again my ankle. Tried to stretch out one but it eventually went back to rubbing my ankle again. Padding around ankles is poor.

For the right person, these boots are probably a great fit but not for me. From when I strapped them on this morning to when I got home from work, my feet basically hurt all day. I work in manufacturing so I need something to support all areas my both feet. These boots did neither. Something in the right ankle kept digging into me all day. It was all I could do to make it through a 9 1/2 hour shift but I made it. As previously stated, for another industry these boots are probably could suffice but not for walking on a cement floor.

These boots worked great the first 3 days, but then started to create an open sore on the side of my heal where a molded piece within the boot was. A sore creating discomfort occurred on the 4th day of wearing them and therefore I'm sad to see them go back. They're a good-looking boot I was hoping to use!

The construction of these leaves hard edges on the inside, around the lower ankle. The left shoe seems okay but the right shoe has such a serious hot spot that after two shifts in these shoes, I have an open wound on my ankle bone. I really wanted to like these but they unfortunately have to go back.

This boot is not as comfortable as the Timberland Pro Powertrain Sport Alloy Safety Toe. I was unable to buy the Powertrain when I wanted a replacement, so I chose the Switchback. I can not wear this boot as long as I have been used to: 12-16 hours.
Switchback has a great outer sole, and I still wear it but recognize the shortcomings.

I didn’t like the boot AT ALL. And I buy a lot of timberlands, I have the Gravel Pit 8 in. ( best boot EVER MADE BY ANYBODY!!!! Bar none.) and the PRO met guard, durable , affordable boots as well… so , thought these would be nice as well , they so weren’t! The fit and feel of the boot is just, mushy. Not very solid, the padded collar does nothing because it doesn’t support the ankle. That’s because it doesn’t even touch the ankle , arch support is lacking at best. These would only be good for EXTREMELY LIGHT WORK…and only for a minimal amount of time. They’d be better serving as a “ prowl the shopping center type shoe than , a work boot, if they weren’t so ugly and plain… worst offering from timberland that I’ve ever encountered. I’m disappointed with these. My next pair will be of a different brand.

I'm a Fed Ex delivery guy. Spend lots of time on my feet walking. The boots themselves are great! Did take a week or 2 to break in, and they can cause pain and some blisters. But after that, most comfortable boots I can put on! Probably didn't help that I also had an sole insert in as well....But my biggest gripe for me is that these boots seem to just CHEW through laces. I've had these boots a year and already went through 3 pair. I'd still recommend them, but would do so with a bit of caution.

We previously purchased a pair of these boots. Like the way they feel and look. Con of it is all the rubber around the toes began to break and peal off. Trying again due to look and comfort.

The low cut on the back of the boot causes chafing on the back of your ankle. As well with the low cut you can't tighten the boots properly.

I really wanted to like these Switchbacks but the right boot keeps rubbing against my ankle. Does not seem to be same quality as other Timberland boots/shoes I have. Feel comfortable otherwise. Wore them for a few days, tried stretching them out but they eventually went back to rubbing the ankle. Tried 2nd pair, same issue.
