The shoes were very uncomfortable.
I'd also recommend:
None. We've always liked Florsheim, this was just a poor selection.

Beautiful short however, This shoe was not a 3E. It was very narrow he couldn’t get his foot even 1/2 way in.

These are great shoes, but just aren't cut for wide feet. Ordered EEE and they still were too narrow.

Nice looking shoe. Runs a tad larger than my other Florsheim shoes. Purchased these after I had trouble getting correct size in a Cole Haan. I wear a 13 or 14 depending on brand and style of the shoe.

I had to order this online as I cannot find your shoes in stores anywhere. I had a pair of Como prior to this that I wore for years. I really liked them. I noticed on the new pair, the elastic strap across the top of the foot is much shorter and the leather goes further up on the foot. This cause the shoe to fit tighter across the top of the foot creating some discomfort. I hope this will loosen up as I wear them more.

The product seems fine - probably would provide long term satisfaction. However, I have not been able to solve the mystery of sizes. The numbers and letters do not bear any resemblance to those of Florsheim shoes I have purchased in years past. Two attempts at buying shoes have shown me that "trying on" shoes is still the only way to determine the right fit. The problem lies in the process of taking two weeks to find out if a shoe will fit and returning it for another try.
Maybe the answer would be to receive several sizes at once and keeping only the one that fits. Of course that won't work either unless the the size is represented in the styles being offered. Could this be a matter of the country of manufacture?

I am guessing that these shoes are not made any longer. I normally purchase these in a 10 B, and were not available, so I had to purchase 10 C and these are a little loose fitting. I did find the 10 B in Canada, but at a much higher price. I hope you will continue to make and sell these shoes in the future.

The shoe is beautiful. However, the E width is really quite narrow. I was necessary to use a shoe stretcher in order to get the shoe to be comfortable.

I have worn this style of shoe for over 10 years. The last for few pairs I have purchased, the sole very quickly becomes detached.

I have purchased this shoe 8 times. It gets me through security check point at airports and they look nice. However, the sole has separated on every pair and the latest pair did it in only one week. I keep glue handy for repairs, since it is clear you do not glue anything. The last three pairs including my most recent squeak like crazy, I can only guess its because of separation within the sole. I have written several times, but it is clear the company has no interest in changing the quality control. maybe its time to look for another shoe. And yes they leak like the Titanic
Disappointed,

My husband has been purchasing Florsheim shoes forever. He loves the Como style - So I ordered them on line. Upon arrival - we immediately saw there was an error - 2 different shoes in the box. The shoes did not match. Whoever put them in the box, did not realize it. So, I just returned them, which was very easy to do, your Customer Service reps were very helpful. We were fortunate that the retailer in Fremont, CA had a pair, so we bought them directly from him. At the end of the day, my husband was very happy with his new shoes. Now he's thinking about going back and getting a brown pair. He just loves them. Thanks, Jayne

Sole separated from shoe after a couple months of seldom use.
Would recommend if quality flaw has been remedied.

This shoe seems to b a bit larger than the stated size. With previous Florsheim 7½ 3E I wear nylon socks but can not wear cotton socks as they are too bulky. However, with this shoe the nylon socks let my foot slide around in the shoe and I have to wear cotton socks to take up the slack. With cotton socks, they fit fine, but I did order this show for dress, not for casual and my dress socks are all nylon.

My only complaint is that the shoe does not wear well. The wear ability is extremely poor. I wear through two to three pair per year and have a sit down job. Other than the durability, it is a great looking and comfortable shoe.

The Florsheim Como shoe is a nice looking shoe but as with most Florsheim shoes now, the problem is that they are not made here in the USA and they are not available in a combination last. It seems to me that a loafer style shoe should be made with several last types available. Yes, I know, go to Wal-Mart and get some heal grips. You have to fix the problem yourself instead of having the shoe properly made to begin with. A simple combination last was something that used to be available in most good quality shoes. When companies go public, it is no longer about the customer but about the stockholders. Go somewhere else and buy shoes you say. I have several pairs of Florsheims in my closet that were made in the USA over 30 Years ago and they have been resoled & healed so many times that it is no longer possible to repair them. They were good comfortable, high quality shoes that no doubt cost more than Thom McCann's, and rightfully so, but not quite a pair of Allen-Edmond's. We have been treated as consumers for so long we are no longer customers.

this was a 6 3E and should have been wide enough for me.
However, it was not.
Florsheim should make more 5.5 and 6 extra wide shoes (3E and 5E) so people have more styles to choose from.
There are lot of hispanics and asians who are smaller than your typical white or african american males.
This is a growing demographic that is lacking available choices and you should capitalize on this! Thanks

I am close to a 12.5 left and a 12.0 right. I gambled that your length would be correct and it was. The left just fits and the right is slightly long. The width in front of both shoes is tight and the left shoe slips off in the rear when I walk. The right shoe also slips off but not as badly.

I have worn these shoes for many years. About 1 year ago, a new cheaper insole was used, making the shoes much less comfortable. The new insole has white print; the old one had a sewn-in logo.

The leather or materials used are so strong smelling that I have only worn several times. I have them over an air vent to try to get it to go away. The shoes themselves feel fantastic!

The stitching connecting the sole to the upper is uneven - not critical but shows a decline in the general quality of Florsheim shoes. I have been a decades long purchaser of Florsheim shoes and fear the quality is falling.

The heel offers little insole cushion comfort and the heels themselves should be of a more giving material, like rubber.

D is too narrow must order 3E for correct size, but I ordered 2 pair 9.5 and should have ordered 9. Length is good width too narrow. I have 5 pairs all kidskin slip on. The 9's are correct true to length.
Very comfortable all your kidskin loafers
