I have a mixed review.
These shoes fit great, are very soft and comfortable. For that I love them. Based on other reviews talking about a tight fit, I ordered E instead of D, and that made them fit great for me. Two items bother me. I have had problems with the heels scouffing. I guess I rub my shoes on chairs. But these were much worse than any other shoes I have had. I guess because they are so soft. The other problem is the sole came appart on 1 shoe after only 9 months of wearing once or twice a week. I got it glued for temporary fix, but will have to get a new half sole soon. I don't know if this is a common problem, or I got an exception. Even with the problems, I wish they came in brown so I could get another pair

This pair of shoes was a replacement pair for ones that I purchased in November of 2011. I returned the original pair due to the soles of both shoes separating after only 6 months. So far the replacement shoes have held up..hopefully that will continue to be the case. The fact that the original shoes were repalced at no charge was very positive and much appreciated.

These shoes are very comfiratble for my feet, which is why I continue to buy them. However, they do not last long - leather upper and soles both wear out quickly.

como tassles used to be imperial too. Quality of kidskin is not as good as it used to be. Bring back the classic good stuff.

I've been wearing this style in various for 20+ years...probably gone through two dozen pair and then some. Only problem has been that the last two pairs have been very "sqeeky"--lots of noise when I walk into a room. I had one pair of shoes re-glued--they're still "squeeky." Unfortunately I've had to throw out the last two pairs I purchased.

Didn't quite meet expectations -
Selected this shoe to replace somewhat cheaper Florsheim. Expected, on advice of others this shoe to be extremely comfortable and provide good arch support. Found medium comfort but not very good arch support. Will have to use insole which will likely impact fit. Have 10 1/2 EEE foot, and am hard to fit with good arch support. Too bad as looked forward to buying above line shoe.

Florsheim has lost its excellence -
I really used to believe in Florsheim shoes. After my first pair, I kept buying them years ago. However, in the last four years at least, their shoes do not have the proper support for the feet. They do not support the arch and my feet are stretching too much. I will not be buying their shoes anytime soon unless they address that issue because my feet are just too important.

I’ve been wearing Florsheim shoes since 1980. I bought my first pair of Imperials shortly after that, and although they were very expensive, I always felt I got my money’s worth because the fit and comfort were the best I’d ever experienced. Since the soles wear out fairly quickly, I’ve had numerous pairs of Imperials since then and all have been what I have come to expect. A couple of weeks ago I bought a pair of Como Imperials from Zappos and am shocked to find that somebody at the Florsheim Company thought it would be a good idea to SEW labels in the insole RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE of the heel area. The threads in the label contact my heel and make the shoe feel like there is sand in it. We all know how that feels. Not very comfortable. After all these years, how could they come up with an idea as stupid as that?

I have bought numerous pairs of Florsheim Comos Imperials over the past 10 years. I have been happy because they are comfortable, last a long time, and sizing is very consistent.
Since production has moved to India, I have had two disappointing pairs. The first had the decorative strap break during the first few months. The second has a label that is attached in the heel area that I can feel through my socks. Earlier shoes had a printed logo.
Oh well, all good things must end I guess.

You used to make these shoes in AA but stopped, I don't know why. I tried these in A width but they are too wide for my so I sent them back. Won't be buying anymore shoes from you until you start making the narrow ones again.

The Como shoe has been my favorite shoe for years. Unfortunately you stopped making them in a size 9 1/2 C which fit me perfectly. I needed to get new shoes so I decided to try a 9 1/2 D. They did not fit well at all so I was very disappointed and returned them.

I have worn these for a decade but increasing find that the glue is poor and the upper separates from the sole. Comfortable and relatively cool to wear because of all the leather (top, sides, sole). However, the life I get out of these is way less than it used to be. The leather used in the upper seems to be of low quality compared to what it once was. I have bought my last pair. I am looking for an alternative where the upper is stitched to the sole and the quality of the leather materials is higher.

Imperial always has been equal to "quality". This last pair must have missed final inspection.

Use daily for business wear (suit, tie). Too wide, size 9.5B which is my size. It feels like at least a C width, my heel falls out when walking.

I have been wearing Florsheim for 50 years. The last two pair that I purchased. Have worn out very quickly. I will have to look elsewhere for shoes in the future.

Had to return product. I've been buying same shoe for 10 years. this time the 11 1/2 B was longer than my 11 1/2 C and road up and down on my heel.

I have purchased more than 10 pairs of Florsheim shoes since the early 90's. This latest purchase are not of the comfort, quality of leather, and size of those I have purchased earlier. Suspect they were manufactured in China. I am not pleased and will not buy another pair.

Didn't wear well -
Admittedly I am hard on shoes, but that is why I buy quality brands. The leather scuffed horribly on both this pair and a cordovan pair that I bought at the same time.

Running colors -
The shoe is very comfortable. Unfortunately, the color seems to have run out of the leather, especially in the back of the shoe, where scuffs are likely. The shoe also feels like it could fall apart at any time.
