I use these in a warehouse setting.
On my feet 11 out of 12 hours and around 9 hours they just get uncomfortable.
I ordered the extra wide, but they are not wide at all where it is needed the most, the toe area, so the shoe just kills my big toe by rubbing it all night and the inserts dont add much cushioning.
I cannot say I would recommend to a friend, but maybe another person would enjoy these.

Burned through these shoes in 2 months. I get that zappos and amazon is trying to help us keep feet safe. But when you don't get credit AT LEAST every 6 months, plan on spending 120 bucks for these shoes. With today's economy, it is tough for most. I do however appreciate zappos and amazon thinking of all safety.

Went with the EE size 9. The right shoe was the correct size. However, the left shoe was too narrow, and the inside of my left foot was rubbing against the right side of the left shoe. Since the shoes are not selling out, then I would figure everyone else is having the same problem, and will be going with another brand that sells out more quickly like Timberland Pro in size 9 Wide. Maybe I'll just buy 4 pairs of foot insoles with my work allotment, and find a pair of shoes at a retail store so I can try them on so I don't have to deal with returning shoes from an online purchase anymore. 2 pairs of Reebok, 1 Caterpillar, 1 Keen, and 1 Carharrt shoes that are under $110 did not fit me even close. in M width.

The composite toe makes this shoe way too heavy to work in it is a burden more than help.
I'd also recommend:
Amazon needs to stop making its employees wear composite toes
