I absolutely love this watch! I love the vintage cola aesthetic and the color on the face. I really enjoy this classic TimeX with this modern twist. It's very easy to size and style with whatever you're wearing. If it was up to me, id have one in every color possible :)

The T80 is a classic Timex - the profile is small and unobtrusive and serves as a great reference to the '80s and '90s heyday of new, ubiquitous digital watches. Especially with the 80s cycling back around in fashion, a T80 can compliment almost any retro-referencing outfit. Updated with this bright, psychedelic Coca-Cola 1971 branding, this piece is sure to stand out and adds an extra pop to your wrist.

This is probably the nicest digital watch I've ever owned. I have had gshocks and casios, and those are good, but not the same as this T-80. The metal on the T-80 is smooth like butter, and really comfortable. It doesn't feel like plastic at all and I was really surprised with how nice it felt. The coca-cola design is also very different from what I normally wear, but I've been enjoying changing it up. The indiglo, of course, is always a big plus and this has all the standard features you expect in a digital watch. They have an added bonus of playing a song when you hold the start/stop button down, which is really neat. Obviously it isn't Bose sound quality, but it's a watch. One thing I don't really like about the watch is the beep it makes every hour (pretty sure you can turn it off) is very loud and piercing. However, overall, this is a really solid piece by Timex.

With a resurgence in retro style watches, the 1971 unity collection from Timex in collaborationwith Coca Cola was perfectly timed. The T80 encompasses all the benefitsof these early classics of the digital age. From the light up Indiglo display, alarm and chronographfeature, this watch has it all. Packaging- Something that continues to impress me with Timex is their use of recyclable materials within the packaging, whilst maintaining a good quality feel. This adds to the experience of receiving a new watch and doesn't feel like a compromise. Incorporatingthe instructions into a folding carded case is a fantastic detail that doubles up as a piece of perhaps unintentionalretro artworkthat captures the ethos of the collab immediately. Watch Case- The 34mm squared off case works perfectlywell for this watch. The 10mm thickness adds the right amount of bulk to the design and it wears slightly larger, perhaps due to the hooded lugs. I like the high polished appearance of the case because it is in keeping with its bold retro style. A fantastic addition to the collection or perhaps a variation might incorporate some more brushed finishes either on the raised crystal housing, the case sides or in a more subtle feature like the pushers. Dial- The dial surroundis one of my favorite features of this model. The fresh and exciting colour pallet pulls you in and gives you something new to eyeball every time you look at it. The font style and black text overlay also works well. If that isn't enough for you, go ahead and press the Indiglo button for a light show that brings the LCD screen in line with the rich blues surrounding it. It is so cool. Caseback- Another favourite is the attention to detail given to the case back. I like case backs, it is often where corners are cut or design flair is lacking. But not with Timex and certainly not this model. A circular brush pattern reflects light off in every direction and gives you a rich combination of fonts etched into the case back to look at. It is also a nice retro feature, as many watches from the 1970's featured stainless steel case backs. Bracelet- An 18mm tapered stainless steel bracelet with a close link design finishes this model off nicely. It incorporates the right amount of brush on the bracelet to balance out the entire design and focus you on its key features. The close proximity of all the links means its not as grabby or "pinchy" as many steel braceletsare, and is in fact one of the most comfortable I have yet to wear. Solid links are always desirable, but I actually don't think this watch needs them. Wearability- It is comfortable. Many watches are hit and miss for me. If I don't find a watch to be comfortable it won't get a lot of wrist time. The Timex T80 feels noticeablybalanced on my wrist, whether I am at the bench working on watches or at the laptop, it never seems to get in the way. Functionality- This watch looks groovy but also have some useful features. An Indiglo light-up display, alarm, digital chronograph to 1/100 second and day/month display. Timex has gone to great lengths to make the features easy to use by labeling the pushers and creating an instructional guide out of the packaging. Within a few minutes, it ispretty easy to setupup and you are on your way. Overall - This is a fantastic collaboration. The ethos of unity through peace love and harmony is definitely something we could all do with seeing some more of in the world. I am more than happy to wear a watch that encompasses that kind of spirit within its design. Furthermore, it'sa fun retro piece that just about anyone can get down with.
