I'm 73 and my wife & I walk about an hour every day (have for the last 30 years). These are diabetic rated shoes but you'd never know it to look at them. The best "put 'em on and wear 'em" shoes I've owned! We'll have to see how they hold up but if they last a year I'll buy a pair every year. Thanks Zappos!

I bought these in XW hoping they would work on my 4E feet. They are a bit snug on the width. I'm using a shoe stretcher to slowly accommodate my width, but I wouldn't recommend buying this shoe if you want a good fit without fudging around. I like the style and quality of the leather. My BIG complaint with this shoe is the stupid leather velco-fastened strap that makes it difficult to put these shoes on. The strap's curved memory keep flipping it back on the velcro strip on the top of the shoe, or anything else it will stick to. So you have to bend it the opposite way if you want to get your shoe on. The other thing about this strap is the stupid design: it fastens from the ankle side out -- making it difficult to close and open it. Well-designed shoes have the velcro strap fastening in the outside-in direction, allowing you to open/close/adjust it quickly. Also, the outer soles are wearing very quickly. I don't know what material they're using for the outer soles, but it doesn't look tough enough for a hiking shoe. The picture shows wear after only about 15 days of wear, mostly walking in my office, around the block, or at Costco! I can't imagine how they'd look if I actually hiked in them. I wouldn't recommend this shoe mainly for the velcro closure.

I saw all the five star reviews and went really. I must concur they are amazing. Wasn’t sure about the elastic laces but they are plenty tight. The strap helps support the ankle and is great for because I have severe arthritis in my hands. Plus the comfort level is amazing, feels like I’ve worn the a long time. Highly recommend.

The shoe was just too tight for my foot. I only tried one shoe and it was just too tight. Otherwise it is a nice looking boot!

I was looking for lighter weight boots for travel to Africa, but a wide foot and bunions really limit my options. These are light, very roomy toe and the top velcro strap adjusts easily. Should easily fit with heavy wool socks. I may end up changing the elastic for one that adjusts (would use toggle ending towards toe) just to give me more flexibility when I want to use thinner socks. I do worry that the soles won't wear long - the material seems very plastic-y.

If she was amazing, I bought two pairs and one went bad and Zappos standed behind the quality and the warranty of it was

too loose- not laces on the shoes but comfortable and easy on and off

My husband has olive oil feet (narrow & flat) they were to wide for his feet. Also he didn’t like the fact that you can’t tighten the shoe string’s. These may work for someone with average width feet. These are slip ons with Velcro at the top. Will be returning.

Ordered a 4X width but boot was too narrow in toe box. Also has minimal arch support and zero cushioning in forefoot. Overall, very uncomfortable boot.
