These truly are comfortable shoes. They definitely have the fit/comfort part figured out. Their build quality, though, is suffering. At less than two months old, these shoes are already starting to fall apart. For this price, I would hope to get a year, or even six months, out of a pair of shoes - especially considering I'm not exactly running marathons in these things. I thought I found a brand of shoes I could rely on for years. Unfortunately, this will be my last Anodyne purchase.

I wear orthotics so the inner volume is important. Just went for a walk and the shoes are very comfortable. A little loose in the heel, but a trade off for width in the toes.

Though advertised as hiking shoes, they are not durable...AT ALL. I hiked a total of 22 miles and the soles are already worn down considerably, making the shoes useless and dangerous for hiking. Do no buy these if you actually want to go hike in dirt...maybe good for a mall hike?

I am difficult to fit, extra, extra wide at toes, narrow at heel, tall wide last. These seem to fit the bill. Wearing longer and different circumstances may not be as comfortable, as I cannot wear socks. Luckily, I do not hike. Having shoes to vary and switch is my happiness (and my Morton neuroma’s)

I like these shoes allot. A true 4e and fit and feels great!

I tried 4 other pairs of shoes before buying these. I was just getting so frustrated with bad fit. These are great.

Perfect fit, and looks good too. Not sure what to do with the extra long elastic laces.

I've always had problems with shoes being too narrow. This was the first pair of shoes that fit me perfectly. Snug and comfortable.

Perfect fit, very comfortable

just got this brand for the first time, so i may update this with time. large in length, i had to reorder with a half size smaller. i order the widest and they are good and wide. i got them because i need a waterproof shoe, but i have not been able to test this yet. i am surprised by the comfort, really nice. i guess some people like slip-on tennis shoes, and these come with a system that allows that, i pulled those off and put in the more normal laces that come with them. overall i like these

My feet are very sensitive to the foot bed and it is hard to find good shoes. These were just what I ordered but after walking no more than 100 ft. my feet were in a rage. They are flat as a board and without the insole they are hard as a board. They just didn't work.

My husband normalluy wears 10.5M, but wanted to try a wide, not wanting a break-in period. The shoes were way too wide and loose. Also, the style/cut of the shoe makes it look kind of "boaty", because the are flat all around, and makes your foot look flat, long, and awkward.

These are very comfortable shoes, however I wouldn't call them hiking shoes. They are fine for walking around town. The quality is really low, they just didn't last very long.
