I used to wear a Duluth heavy sherpa lined canvasback type vest that I loved but started to put pressure on the back of my neck when loaded with EDC gear. I shopped around a lot and settled on Dickies. I love it because of the fit, the look, easy wash and wear-(ness?) of it, and the soft collar doesn't put nearly as much pressure on my neck. I love it so much, I bought a spare in case they quit making them.

I'm been buying this diamond quilted nylon vest for a few years and I keep buying them cause they fit perfect and materials are very durable and for work excellent

After the nylon YKK Vislon zipper failed and the adjustable hem cord kept stretching and annoyingly dangling out more than 6 inches below the vest in my old down-filled vest and the nylon zipper also failed in my old thermal lined hoodie, I only wanted metal zippers and absolutely no dangling hem cords. The Dickies Diamond Quilted Nylon Vest met the need with a smooth metal YKK zipper and elastic hem fabric in the back in place of an adjustable cord. Pair the vest with a Dickies Thermal Lined Fleece Hoodie, also with a smooth YKK metal zipper, and you have a perfect comfortable combination to take off the chills both indoors and outdoors, thin and light enough to layer under coats and jackets. Got it on sale, so my value rating is great.
