The heel is too wide. Also, heel is too high for the way it is made. Heel is wobbly from side to side. Easy to twist ankle. Most people who have wide feet need width in the toe box not the heel.

As a flight attendant with a uniform policy to follow, these shoes fit the bill - plain, black and just high enough to pass muster. Sadly, despite trying in two sizes and widths, they had to be returned. The heel on these shoes is very wide and therefore uncomfortable as my foot was lifting out. They do have a removable footbed so you can add your own inserts and the leather was very soft and wearable out of the box.

I should have listened to all of the other reviews and sized down. This shoe runs about a full size too large. My feet are very flat and wide. My normal size is 7.5, I ordered a 7.5 2E, the width was fine however the length of the shoe was way to big and the toe box is very narrow in comparison to the rest of the shoe. The midsection and heel are very soft and flexible but the toe box is extremely hard and stiff, not good if you have bunions or have had bunion surgery.

Love this shoe; great of my flat feet & was comfortable to wear/walk all day. Will look to buy in other colors.

Very classy but bigger than expected.

Super comfy and the width worked well. I needed something slightly dressier, so these are going back. (Thanks for easy returns, Zappos.) Although I don't need them, they fit beautifully and made my foot look a bit smaller so I was very tempted to keep them!

Toe box was fine, but heel was loose and shoe would come off when walking.

I normally wear 12W which wasn’t available and so I decided to try the 11XW which sometimes works for me. These are way too big for me, my feet were slipping way out. I will probably fit in an 11W, which is one full size smaller than my normal size. They feel very cushioned and hope that I can find the right size. I think they are good for someone with bunions because it does not cut or rub against that area…

I ordered my usual size 12W and the shoes were huge, they felt more than a full size larger. I returned them and tried an 11W and it fits! These are reasonably comfortable and cute for work. Would love better arch support, and the insole is flimsy and comes out every time I take off the shoes.

I am in dire need of plain black dressier shoe, unfortunately these were too big and won’t stay on. I’m going to try a size smaller. That said, I’m finding that Propet makes a very comfortable walking shoe!

These are the best looking shoes I can wear all day at work. They are almost as comfortable as my Danskos but less clunky. My arthritic feet are so happy!

I really liked these shoes except that they were about a half size too big. Had to return them. Wanted to get another pair in a smaller size, but all were sold out. Bummer.

Love the shoe, gave it all 5 stars, only speculating on the comfort. BUT the 7W was so large that I'm re-ordering in a 6 W.

These are adorable shoes. And can easily be worn with casual clothes as well as more tailored outfits. They do run large. The shoe feels as if it is at least a half size too large. Unfortunately, the smaller size I need is not available. I hope it does show up in the future.

These are such beautiful shoes, you don't even feel like you have them on. Fit perfect. I also ordered them in black. Also always get what ever I purchase at Zappos delivered so fast.

This shoe is very large length and width. I normally wear an 8 W or 8 1/2 M. I tried three sizes in this shoe. Got down to a 7M which was a bit snug. Probably the 7W would have fit, but did not want to risk again. The leather is beautiful and looks very elegant on the foot. Well made.

This is a beautifully well made shoe. The problem with it is being so hard to fine a size that fits. I tried 3 times. I almost tried a 4th time but just did not want to put Zappos through yet another possible return. A beautiful shoe, pretty leather, beautiful style. Wish it would have worked.

Beautiful well made shoe. The fit was comfortable. A bit wide where I could have worn a medium. My reason for 4 stars and returning was because when I stepped forward my toes bent at the wrong spot. I really wanted to like this shoe.

Too big, width true to size but overall fit was large!

Black leather appears to be a good quality. The design of the heel feels comfortable. This shoes looks pretty simple, nothing attractive or fancy. I bought them for work. I usually wear size 11Wide. Since sometimes wide isn’t really wide and in reality just medium width, I bought 11 extra wide. This size was too big , so I ordered size 10 extra wide, and they did fit . The toes width is very comfortable. The heel felt as too wide so I inserted my own insole , and that made this shoes fit much better. I don’t have to worry about loosing them while I walk.

Just received these shoes and I'm so sad. There is some stitching in the back that is very rough and tore up my ankle. I can't wear them. I need to return and it says to call a number. What a bummer. It's only one shoe too.

Truly a pretty shoe, a wardrobe staple to head into fall with. Unfortunately, for the short chubby foot I was blessed with, they were too big and the site out of a size smaller. Still ZAPPOS rocks!!
