I loved the footbed of this shoe and the look of it, but it was way too wide in the heel. If it weren't for the heel issue, it would make a very good looking and comfortable walking shoe. Plenty of toe space both in width and toe length. Really wish I could have worn these.

I have purchased many shoes from Zappos and from the brand David Tate as well. The first pair was too big and too wide, which never happens to me. I reordered a full size smaller in the wide, and it fits well. It is not a spring/summer shoe per, but attractive, sturdy and comfortable It seems to be real leather. I don't think I would wear it with dresses, only pants. I look forward to wearing it in the future in the Fall and Winter as I think the design is timeless.

I order 7.5 WW, the size is OK but the heels of the shoe is too loose & without any arch support.

Attractive shoe, but returned for two reasons: 1. Heel fit poorly and my foot “flip flopped” when I walked. 2. The cut of the leather was not identical, so the perforations were off center.

These shoes are very stiff and wide for a narrow width shoe. I returned them.

I had to return but I really liked the style and look of this shoe. With arthritis in my feet. I need a shoe a bit softer. I always appreciate Zappos easy return policy, thank you.

Shoe was comfortable and attractive, but seemed sporty and I needed dressy so I'm sending it back.

The David Tates are excellent flats, but not for me. My foot sat somehow too high in the shoe. The fit was right, length and width, but the insoles filled the shoe too much for me. . . guess I have fat feet...

The fit of those shoe is odd. I wear a size 10.5 wide, which I can almost never find. They were sold out of the 10.5, so I ordered an 11 regular. The length was just right. The heel was just right. The arch support is heavenly. But the toe box is slightly too narrow. I'm hoping I can exchange them for an 11 wide. I can definitely see why there are so many mixed reviews on these. They appear well made and look nice enough for slacks or a dress.

These shoes had a large removable insert; it looks like the shoe was a medium but when they put the insert in it became a narrow. Very "clunky" fit and regrettably have to return. I tried putting in other inserts I have on hand, but nothing worked.

My 5.5 narrow could not make do with these cute shoes in M width. They are well made and pretty. Good arch support with removable sole for orthotic

So glad I found these in 13w and especially at the discounted price. The leather is real, the insole has good support and cushion, heel height though a flat is just the right bit of heel. The only draw back is that the heel is a little too large so that my heel tends of slip out. I'll find some heel grippers and that should take care of the problem.

I bought these to wear to a 50th high school reunion (not mine! I have a long time to go for that!) I had surgery on my Achilles tendon in May and have a lovely scar right over the heel and up the back of my leg a little way. I needed a shoe that would NOT hug my heel so I got them one size larger and in a wide. I tried them on as soon as they arrived and they are practically falling off my feet.....PERFECT! I need to put a thick insole in the other shoe, but I think these will be just great for a night of....not dancing....lol. They are super cute, the color is perfect for Autumn and matches the blouse I have perfectly. They are very well made and I suspect they will last a long time.

Omg, rarely do I take a shoe right out of the box and slap. ‘em on but I couldn’t resist! The foot bed is really comfortable! Happy with the quality of these shoes.

I think I would love this if it fit. I should have heeded the other reviews that said the heel is wide! It is! There was no way for this shoe to grip my narrow heel, so the shoe flopped around with even just a few steps. I’m bummed to have to send them back.

These David Tate Safe were such a good sale price and OMG! they were in my size 13W which isn't easy to find especially stylish. So I purchased them and the fit is good, leather real, cut out design really adds style. The only draw back is that the heel is too large thus my heel slips. I'll purchase some grips to help hold my heel in. I purchased the cream color but I may return to purchasethe carmel color ones.

I wear a size 13W (or M). If I see shoes in my size and the price is right I purchase. I've purchased quite a few David Tate shoes and these Safe in cream were just what I needed in my spring summer shoe wardrobe. The lazer cut out design really makes it stylish, the leather is real, soft and plyable. I like that these shoes are flats but not completely flat the heel height is just right. Inside there is lots of cushion so that walking is very comfortable. The only negative to the 13W I purchased is that the heel is too wide so I don't have the secure fit I need in that area. The toe length is good so I have room to wiggle my toes and the band around the top of the shoes does not rub. On top of all this the price was great! This turned out to be a great purchase.

Feels great. My left foot has a narrow heel, but I am use to that. A bit of moleskin patch and it's perfect.

I liked the material and fit of the shoe but, this is my third pair of this type of shoe. I just had all of them slide up and down on my heel. I couldn’t be safe walking in them. I don’t know if it’s my foot or the shape of the heel. I give up with these flats.

My ratings for comfort and style are mute. I didn't wear these shoes long enough to comment but Zappos insist that these be completed b4 posting. I ordered these in the size I normally wear and was delighted to find a Narrow available in my length. Much to my chagrin, the toe inside is lined with a harder material that was completely uncomfortable for me to wear more than a try on minute. The looks is beautiful, and from just trying them on, they felt like the sole was as described. I'm thankful that Zappos has a generous return policy.

These shoes are comfortable and of good craftsmanship. Nevertheless, I'm returning them. The nose of the shoe is awkwardly wide and turned inwards, it made my feet look like a bear's paws turned inwards. Not flattering.

The shoe was very large and fell off my feet. I need to return.

Very uncomfortable

This is a terrible shoe. It must weigh about seven lbs. Besides being heavy, it smells. Just a really cheap shoe.

The insole was AMAZING, with the best arch support i have ever had in a shoe like this, but --- the arch pushed the sides of the shoe wider than natural resulting in a weird gap by the arch. just to weird to pay this much money for. too bad, too. i loved them otherwise.
