My feet like them for every day wear

I am an active construction project manager, dad of 3 kids in sports, and coach. I prefer a trail running shoe for casual daily wear when I am not in work boots. I bought them direct from www.thenorthface.com/en-us, and received them in 3 days. I wear these all day, everyday, on all kinds of terrain, in all kinds of weather. These are incredibly comfortable for all day wear, and versatile to go from the office to a jobsite, then running around out in the field. I wear a US10 and have flat arches. These fit true to size. They are snug enough that they don't need laced very tight. Which the lace design holds the laces in place. I wear them loose enough to slip them on, yet tight enough that I still play soccer without tying them. One thing is was surprised by was the spring back in the arch. I can feel the curvature of the sole as I plant my heel and roll to my toes. It feels responsive and springy, yet stable on rough terrain. I doubted if i would like that when I first put them on, but was surprised after wearing them out on the trail how surefooted they feel. The lugs provide sure grip and traction, except on smooth floors (especially when wet). That is understandable. They breathe well for being waterproof and clean up well for mesh. They are well padded throughout. The tongue is attached to the instep and outsole. The extra material has to fold out of the way. I can feel the fold in my insteps, but it does not irritate my skin. It has gotten better with wear. I feel like I got a quality pair of shoes that are functional, comfortable, and match my style.

Bought these for Fall, colder weather wear. So far they fit and feel great. Ive been using them for daily walkers to break them in and have had no issues. I plan to get some off road running in soon. So far a great shoe.

Comfortable and more light weight

I selected this hiking shoe because it looked sturdy, had good colors, and the future light feature (which is breathable and waterproof). I have been very pleased with the shoe; it is very comfortable to wear, and it has a rugged sole that performs in all outdoor situations. It has a medium width which fits me perfect. This is replacing a pair of Hedgehog North Face shoes from years ago. IMO, you can't compare shoes like these to other competitors, and I believe the North Face quality is unsurpassed.

I have weird feet so it's hard to find a good shoe. I have three pairs that I ordered online I had to return the other pair, but this one worked out great!
