This shoe felt more narrow than I expected. I am recovering from Plantar Fasciitis and wanted to try another shoe model to give my foot another supportive experience. I usually wear Hoka Clifton or Bondi. I can now walk 2-4 miles relatively pain free in the Hoka shoes. I had these shoes on for 30 minutes and the pain ignited once again. I use a Powerstep Max insole to help with support. I have worn Ascis in the past...Cumulus and Kayano. I guess my foot needs are different now.

I bought these a few weeks ago. I feel I am still breaking them in. I was having heel pain in my last pair of ASICS, but I wear them to work and I am on my feet all day in healthcare, so it was time for a new pair. I bought ty e Nimbus -18 several tears ago and loved the cushioning of the entire foot. These were the best shoes I have ever purchased. Since then I read the reviews and it's about a 50/50 split between loving and hating the newer versions of Nimbus. So I took a chance....I am not convinced by these 22 nimbus. The heel has great support and cushion, but the toe area feels like there is little to no cushion. In fact my toes and ball of my foot hurt after wearing these shoes. The top of the arch of my foot started hurting a few days ago. I am bummed but will wear them until they wear out and I think I will try a different model next time.

I bought these a month ago so I could start training for my marathon. After running a maximum of 5 runs (no longer than 5 mi each), the sole is already peeling off the bottom. I was surprised to see this as I was expecting the quality to last many more miles. They also fit a little small. I would size up.

Well, I read the other reviews and they stated these are not as comfortable as they used to be but I took a chance and they are 100% correct. Not nearly the same quality or comfort level. What happened Asics ? why did you change something so comfortable and wonderful. My old ones were well worth the high price and these are not. I guess I'll have to keep these because I've got to replace my old Asics Gel Nimbus. This new shoe doesn't hold a candle to my old ones that are so CUSHY and CONFORTABLE. Don't mess with perfection is all I have to say. Probably has to do with money though; use cheaper supplies but keep the prices high; it's all about the profit I guess; follow the money trail as they say. So disappointed

I have been wearing Asics running shoes for over 30 years. I have always worn a size 9 medium. I followed the advice of other reviews and ordered this style in 9 1/2 wide. They almost fit, but were a little short for one of my big toes. I have never purchase an ASICS running shoe for over $100 dollars before, and have always been happy. I thought I would try a trade up to see if there is a difference. It seems to me that if Asics wants their customers to trade up, they should be consistent in the sizing. I also ordered another pair of Asics at half the price of this one, in my regular size, and it fits perfectly. So, I ended up keeping the cheaper pair.

Pretty tight around the ball of my feet, praying that they'll stretch out! If not, then I should've gone up half a size. Very supportive besides that.

Very narrow in fit. I like a narrow fit but, surprised me. Lots of cushion in the heal.

They are snug like a lot of ratings. I'm still breaking them in, so I hope they'll feel more comfortable soon. I only bought them for walking and running, but I certainly could not have kept them for work in retail!!! It's great how they think of more padding for landing for running, but it feels like my toes are hanging over in flip flops.

These are my first pair of Asics and so far I'm impressed. Seems true to size and very comfortable. However, these are the SQUEEKIEST shoes I've ever worn. No sneaking around in these, that's for sure. I've only had them 2 weeks, and I'm not sure how much longer I'll keep them because the squeek is driving me insane. Never had shoes do this.

I would have to say the netting across the shoe wears out very quickly unlike the last years nimbus... I would have to say I would have to say I like the nimbus 21 better.

The wide is not wide enough. I ordered the wide because the regular width is just a little too snug, but there isn't much difference in the wide and regular width. I had to wear my thinnest pair of socks in order to be able to wear the shoe. Other than that, the cushioning in the forefoot is better than it has been in years.

I loved them the way they were!!! The design seems to have changed -They are not as soft or cushioned as previous Gel Nimbus. They feel very hard and rigid.

Asics is the only brand I ever choose. I am a marathon runner and running is my passion. My new Gel Nimbus are fantastic ... no need to wear in, so much cushioning and I love the colours.

The fit is good & they are fairly comfortable, good ventilation, maybe too much. They look a little clunky. I prefer my previous other brand running trainers. I wouldn't pay this money again.

The soft cushioning is just not like it used to be, in the Nimbus 17. I love the look of them. I am returning them. These felt better than the 20 or 21 but I am still waiting for Asics to make a more plush Nimbus.

I was sure hoping with the new Gel Nimbus 22’s that things would be better. More cushion than prior but not as much as when I started wearing them(16 I believe it was.). Also the heel in this one seems a bit clunky and too thick to me. Please Asics do it right next time. Unfortunately these are going back.

Wow did this version change, sorry to have to return and start looking again for a good fitting shoe, loved my last pair but it was the previous version. The arch was lower and more to the inside and back by the heal.

Wish it had more cushion like a Nike air max. True to size and I like that it comes in wide, just wish they made wide shoes in other colors in the gel nimbus.

I purchased this version based on the mileage my last pair of ASICS received. I've currently worn them 2 weeks and ran roughly 15-17 miles, along with working in them 40 hours non stop walking. Unfortunately, my ankles & heels hurt. It's an observation I made that I hadn't noticed in any prior ASICS I've purchased. I'm needing different insoles that keep my knees aligned with my ankles & feet while running. I've support this brand from years; however this version happened to not work well with my foot and running step.

Gel Nimbus was recommended to me by a podiatrist. Bought Nimbus 17 which only lasted 2 months before both shoes had a hole in the upper fabric. These were replaced by the shop from where they were purchased. Within 6 months the uppers were again worn through. Given that they were never used for running, only everyday walking, I was very disappointed. However, as the podiatrist insisted I needed to wear Nimbus - as they are supposedly the best cushioned trainer available (?) - I then bought Nimbus 21. Despite the soles looking almost new the uppers are again defective. Really disappointed that such an expensive trainer is not lasting longer.

I have had recent versions of this shoe, and I believed the positive reviews about this version having extra cushioning and a wider toe box. The shoe, however, seems skimpy. I ordered a half size up from my usual size and a wide width. These JUST fit...no extra room anywhere. I could not wear them with wide socks. The cushioning seems better that the 21, but is not what I would have wished. The wide width did not come in fun colors, so these are just okay...both in style and fit. Disappointing.

not as comfortable as my old pair. My old pair had a softer insole that felt like walking on pillows. These are similar but harder. I'm hoping the soften up with use. Otherwise they fit well.

These run 1/2 size large. I though unneeded room for swelling but when I took these on a few runs and my feet were sliding forward and backward. I can't return since I wore them.

I really loved ASICS but over the years they have changed. I read so many reviews claiming the sizing is back to normal, but I disagree. They are still too narrow and I have to order a half size larger. The cushion and support is there if they could get the sizing right. If anyone is a first time ASICS buyer order half size larger and a wide if you don’t have narrow feet. As much as I wanted to go back to ASICS, I returned these shoes since I would still be taking a gamble if I ordered half size up and wide just to get a normal fit.
