After loving my tried and tested GT 2000-9's I decided to try these after reading so many great reviews. No regrets so far - they are comfortable from day 1, and as I struggle with shin splints the extra cushioning in these feels great.

Zappos recommended 11 D in this shoe when I typically wear a 10.5 or 11 wide. This Asics was the perfect size and look but the heel was too wide so my heel moved up and down with every step which would lead to blisters or discomfort long-term. The Asics Nimbus 22 had about the same level of cushioning as the Brooks Ghost but both had less cushioning than the New Balance 1080v10. Overall the Brooks Ghost (11 wide) was the best fit for me with narrow heel so my foot did not move around inside the shoe. Brooks runs 1/2 size small so I always need an 11 wid, while New Balance I almost always need the 10.5 wide. Trying to find a wide shoe that accomidates a higher arch while still having a narrow enough heel is the key for me.

The Gel Nimbus continues to be a great shoe. Really happy with the fit and overall cushion! My only issue is with the changes to the laces as they constantly come un-tied and have to double know. Not sure why they moved away form the old laces that were perfect!

The laces are super long. Other than that, I love this shoe

They're ok if you go up a size and a width. Still hoping you'll bring back the old style with longer lasting cushion, etc.

A little hard for my need, but once they are fully broken in I think they will live up to the hype.

This shoe feels amazing on but runs very small! I am normally a 4.5-5 but had to get a 6! (After trying and returning the shoe 3 times). Definitely recommend going up to save you the return hassle

These are very comfortable shoes. They have a lot of cushion and bounce and a ton of padding! They also support my high arches. The reason I took away one star is because of the sizing. I am an 8.5 in athletic shoes. The website recommended to go up 1/2 size so I ordered a 9. In the size 9, my toes were at the very end, with no room. I had to return for a 9.5. For me, these run a full size small. Definitely size up at least 1/2 size. Once you get the correct size, they’re very comfortable and supportive!
I'd also recommend:
ASICS, New Balance

I love Asics! These shoes have roomy toebox and are cushioned enough to make walking so much more pleasant, even on concrete. I have heel and arch pain and these shoes help.

I bought the ASICS Gel Nimbus 22 to replace my ASICS Gel Kinsei shoes. These shoes have been wonderful for my plantar fasciitis - I can't say enough. I do think that the size 6 in the Nimbus is a little shorter than the Kinsei - my toes don't have as much room.

I'm in my 50s and wear my ASICS to walk/jog my dogs 1.5-2 miles almost every day. I loved my Gel-Nimbus 19s and when I finally wore them out, I was excited to get what I thought would be a fresher version. I was disappointed that this model was less cushiony and less springy than my Gel-Nimbus 19s. They also feel wider, and I think my feet prefer the cradling provided by the narrower Gel-Nimbus 19s. Finally, the cotton laces are less forgiving than the nylon type, so I have to get the tension just right or I end up with pressure points. These shoes are in no way uncomfortable, but they are not as comfortable as my Gel-Nimbus 19s.

The sneaker is extremely comfortable. I usually wear brooks ghost but these feel better. The only reason for 4 stars is that these run unusually small. I wear a 7 in all sneakers & I needed a 71/2 in these. I also should have gotten the wide because they do run narrow (next time). So size up from your normal "sneaker" size. Also for reference I have very high arches & these have good support

The colour scheme of as so pretty and I felt like I was wearing springs when I tried them on. Unfortunately size 3 is too small so I reordered size 3.5. please check the sizing guide before ordering.

Good fit, lots of cushion, padded heel, a tiny bit of heel slippage but lacing solved it.

The shoe was to wide from toe to ball of foot. I have a narrow foot and was it just too roomy. If I had bunions it would of been a good fit. Th e color was great.

I have been wearing the Nimbus for many years and find them very comfortable and all round great shoe. But, I found the Nimbus 22 quality very disappointing. After 3 months both my big toes were starting to poke through and I wore through the inside of the right heel. I hope the Nimbus 23 will be better quality.

I love these shoes and the way they fit, but I wear them for work and they rip easily on the sides by your toes. My only complaint!

I have a wide foot and every other shoe caused shin splints. These have been my go to and allow my gait to perform.
