These are the most uncomfortable boots! I'm so disappointed. I loved these boots in store and wore them around the display area to test them out before ordering on Zappos. They seems comfy, assuming a break-in period would be needed. I've worn the boots indoors (and now outdoors) daily for about two weeks and they have put blisters up and down my entire foot. Not a sliver of my foot is safe in these shoes. I tried blister bandaids, moleskin, you name it. They still rub excessively and create blisters everywhere, despite having enough room on the sides and in the toe box. The shoe doesn't pinch--it's definitely true to size and the right size for me, but there's no way I can keep wearing these without feeling miserable in them. They're picture perfect, just not worth the continuous discomfort. Really hoping another Steve Madden option will work better.

I have a small foot (6) and the boots I wanted (Doc Martens) were way too wide and awkward for my feet. These are the perfect combat boots for smaller sized feet! Fit perfect but still have the clunky sole. Plus the leather and construction beats the Docs hands down. And the zipper is so fantastically easy ?

If you wear a size 10 in Vans, you will need size 11 for this shoe.

These look SO GOOD! I can't wait for them to stretch and break them in properly. they make any foot look awesome! and i love that I can keep them set up on the laces and then unzip them from the side. Mind you I do have one wider foot due to bunions, and that foot is wider and that shoe is a little more tight, but not by much. I usually wear a 7.5, I bought a 7.5, and my feet differ from eachother by 2cm in width (a little more than half an inch) and it's not so bad!

Having read a few reviews about these boots potentially running on the smaller side, I opted to go up a half size; although I wish I had ordered the usual size, I will keep these at an 8 because it will afford wearing thicker socks because the lacing securing the shoe at the ankles. The laces are perhaps a bit too long. The construction feels good, the leather reasonable, and there is significant tread on these boots. Styling is pretty basic but that's what I was looking for. I'm hoping to get several years' use out of these boots.

Bought 1/2 size larger for my granddaughter. She is a medium width size 6 (she's 12, so I wanted a little growing room). These boots are gorgeous and she loved the style, but they're almost too narrow for her to put on. Roomy in the toe area though, so we hope as they "break in" they'll be more comfortable.

I went a size up from my regular size (I'm usually a size 9 but decided to go with a 10 since my luck with Steve Madden has always been they have run a bit small ) & I was right on the $! They fit great & are very comfortable! I purchased them with the Free People New Magic Thermal & I really like how it matches well together.

They were true to size and comfortable. They are well-constructed and I enjoy wearing them with leggings , jeans and even skirts.

Really nice boots! Luckily I read the reviews and ordered a half size up. I still think the will break in more with wear and become more comfortable, but They were fine Just felt very supportive.

The boots fit true to size. I am 6.5 in tornado from Madden and this 6.5 was perfect. Great fit, good width. Lovely color. Walked with them without having to break them in. Fast delivery too. Lovely boots. Good quality so far.

I think these would be good for an average foot. I have low volume feet with long toes, and need a wider toe box/square toe box, but overall need a narrow shoe, otherwise. They were medium quality, lightweight, seemed like a good deal.

I was really torn about these boots. I love the look of them. I am a size 7.5 and I ordered the 7.5, and they are just a little too tight the size 8 is sold out, so I cant get them and compare the fit. Usually I might keep them anyway but these boots stink! I planned to wear them to a work event, all day in a conf room and there is no way I could bring this toxic stench into a closed room. I couldn't even keep them in my house. I left them in my back room, and outside for about three weeks to off gas and they still stink. More bearable, but still smelly. Maybe if you wear them in the rain the smell would wash off but I am not going to try that. I have to send them back

These combat boots are very chunky, very cute. They felt pretty comfortable, but I had to return them because they were a little too short, so I didn't walk much in them.

Not the most comfortable but they look nice. Boots are very narrow but I would not size up.

Horrible smell! I don’t know what they’re coating these boots with. Natural leather doesn’t smell this way. I left these shoes out in my hallway and when I entered the hallway the next morning I could barely breathe. It’s just a toxic smell. Maybe I just had a defective pair of shoes, I don’t know. But I’m sending these back.

Too small and stiff. I’m usually a 7 or 7 1/2 but these felt a full size too small.

Does not last thought it’s comfortable. I got a pair for my daughter not even a year ago and we got her a second pair because the zipper broke. And now with the second pair the sole is cracking. They are comfortable and her favorite shoes, but I wish they lasted longer!
