I'm not new to owning Timberlands. Own a few and used for mainly for snow trips, hiking, rainy days, going out to the range. I wear them when I know my feet might take a beating. For these Solar Wave LT hiking boots, I'd wear mainly for hiking. These are high tops to protect my ankles. The mesh material seems to be very easy to clean vs the typical suede leather that stains easily. Not too fond of the bright white rubber soles, which get dirty easily ( not a good idea have anything white for hiking). The Greenstride soles are comfortable and do not need to be broken in. The shoe is also true to size. The best feature is that it's super lite weight. If I'm mainly hiking only without alot of mud trails, I'd wear these. I really wish they didn't use white for the soles. Other than that, these are very comfortable and I enjoy hiking with them.

These hiking boots are light weight, have a nice solid base. So far very comfortable while walking. They do run a little big, They seem to stay pretty clean and so far have resisted a little water. I do enjoy these boots.

I got these in gray - they look great, super light, and comfortable. Sole is solid for walking and light hiking. Gray leather (if it's leather) marks very easily (scuffs and dirt) and isn't the most durable. I'd say these are more for city wear than hiking since the outers will get demolished with dirt and scuffs. If you aren't buying these for hiking, I'd say game on!

The shoes are fine, the thing is, I think I just ordered them a half size too big. Other than that, I would recommend them just maybe not my style honestly. It was a bit uncomfortable it felt like something was hitting the middle of my foot not sure...

Really wanted to like these because they look great, but after wearing for a few minutes, realized it was not to be. Of course, it's possible they might have broken in over time, but I also purchased a pair of Merrells which were amazingly comfortable the minute I put them on, so that influenced my decision to return these. I also thought that the materials were not going to last over time, and that the use of traditional leather, as well as quality of construction (sorely lacking in most shoes today) would have them sitting on my shelf most of the time.
I'd also recommend:
Geox, Born, SAS, Merrell, Birkenstocks
