I have a very difficult time finding shoes that fit and these are nearly perfect. Unlike the previous reviewer, I don’t find the soles to be too hard, stiff or uncomfortable at all. They are flexible. These are not meant to be soft, cushy slippers to just sit around in. They have very good arch support and are quite comfortable for me. I am unable to wear Birkenstocks or other shoes with an extremely hard footbed with ridges. These offer perfect support without the hard ridges. I have plantar fasciitis and these work well for me. Regarding sizing, I purchased these in a 42 (yes, I am very tall). I opted to choose the European size rather than US sizes because I had a better feel for how they might fit. I usually wear a 42 or an 11 but they are sometimes a little short and my toe hits the front. These are longer than the Haflingers I purchased in the same size which were way too short and also too wide on my foot. They are also a bit longer than my Dansko shoes in the same size. While they are a little long on me I am able to keep my foot in them. My heels do move up and down when I walk like they do with clogs. With a slightly narrow heel and foot I often can walk out of shoes, even those where my toes hit the front of the shoe, but these stay on. They have a very comfortable toe box—no squishing of the toes! They look pretty good—a lot like the Haflingers that I originally wanted. They look to be well-constructed and are comfortable warm. They are definitely worth a try!!!

I thought the back of the shoe would come up higher. They flopped on my feet when I walked. I was afraid I’d fall. I need more support. The arch support is good and the material was good.

This is a high quality indoor shoe/slipper. If you need a high and roomy toe box, this is for you! I was surprised by how shoe-like it is. The sole is substantial and it fits like a clog . I inadvertently wore them to the store, but they looked fine.

Love the shoes, but the fit was not quite right for me.

Overall, shoe was wider than expected and felt too loose.
