These were my first Birkenstock sandals and I love the sporty version with the buckles. Excellent quality but they are huge! I felt like I was wearing my husbands shoes. I have never tried on women's shoes before that were that wide! I subsequently tried on a pair of Gezeh's (regular /wide) and while they were a bit wide, the space was perfect for toe room. So I guess the style must matter a lot.

These shoes are oversized......way oversized. And they are heavy! The leather seems OK.

These Birkenstocks were way too wide. Even when the straps were tightened my feet were slipping side to side.

Runs a little big.

I normally wear a 40 in my Birkenstocks. Based on reviews that this shoe tends to run bigger, I ordered a 39. It fits my foot perfectly. I appreciate the ruggedness of the sole, and the rest of the shoe fits like the rest of my other Birkenstocks, just great. I work as a teacher and am on my feet all day, and my feet are not sore by the end of a long day. I pretty much wear exclusively zero drop shoes and I have lost count of how many pairs of Birkenstocks I have...I just get them resoled.

I will try a smaller size.

This sandal didn’t feel one full size larger, it was two sizes too large! I first ordered my size of 10: it was huge. There was a full 2” of the sandal above my toes and past my heel. Tried a 9: still too big. Ordered an 8: footbed finally fit but now the straps were just snug enough to fit too tightly. Love Birkenstocks but really disappointed in this one.

Birkenstock shows/sandals are wonderful. They prevent foot and heel pain and last for years.

So comfortable! At first I thought I wouldn’t be able to “wear them in” but after only a day of wearing them around the house, they became comfortable for everything!

Fit and size were great! Good arch support! Nice to have a heal strap!

Very sad. The size 40 (my normal Birkenstock sandal size) was very large. I exchanged for a 38 that was (of course) too small. I thought that the size 39 would be the winner. Sadly, they are only "slightly" larger than the 38. My toes still sit on the front ridge. Had to return :'(

This is quite ‘flat’ feeling and does not have the same support as the cork Birkenstocks have. Cute shoe though—but I need the support.

The shoes felt a bit short also, they didn't match with one shoe being noticably lighter than the other.

I love my Birkenstocks and was looking forward to trying these with the back strap for a more secure fit. The straps look a bit thinner than the Milano and I like that. Now I know there were a lot of comments about the sizing of these sandals, but I ordered my regular size (40) and they were ginormous! Just exchanged them for a 38 and they *just* fit. Will try a 39 and hope for the best! Love these and appreciate Zappos generous return/exchange policies - oh, and speedy shipping!

Even with all of the strap adjustments, I couldn't get this sandal to fit my narrow foot.

Too big

I bought these shoes on a recommendation to take with me on my trip to Greece. The first say, I had two giant blisters on both feet where the front strap hit my pinky toe. I was really disappointed.

I recieved worn shoes in the wrong box. the fit was true to what I normally wear. the back strap was floppy. they are being sent back the way I got them which is poor condition

Too big, too ugly and look worn
