The latest iteration of the Anchor Line socks seem to have a tighter fit and a lower % of wool than its predecessor. The wool+nylon blend, particularly through the ankle & calf, is more restrictive and snug than before. Where the previous version fit my feet perfectly these feel like they're about a 1/4 size too small. Ordered size L for feet wearing USA mens 10.5 4E shoes.

These were pretty tight on me. I gave them to my daughter.

Socks are stylish and fit great. Thought that I ordered a pair with a little cushion. But that is on me I should have read the description better. Pairs well with my dress shoes.

Not as soft as previous smart wool socks that I have purchased. They feel more scratchy.

Once again out of navy blue in large and it's not even October yet.

I have narrow feet and was so happy to find socks that did not bunch up in my shoes. Unfortunately, the ankle area of the sock is so small it cuts off the circulation in my feet.........

great basic dress socks

I purchase a LOT of Smartwool socks and pleased with all of them except these. These just dont hold up. I guess it is because they are thinner than others. Just about every pair i have of these have holes in them on the sides, toes etc after about 25-30 uses. That just doesn't cut it considering the cost of these

I have purchased both the zero cushion and light cushion Smartwool Women's size Large socks. I love how they feel on my feet HOWEVER, and it's a big HOWEVER, they are too tight above my ankle. they leave a mark. I wish there were both a foot size AND an above ankle size to choose from. I am trying to stretch these socks out by placing them on some containers and leaving them for days. I hope it works!

Returned too small, past purchases of extra large socks from Smartwool fit well?

I have skinny legs, and these socks are very tight on my lower calf. When I take them off it takes my legs several hours to get back from the constricted state.

I bought for work in a very cold environment. I am very disappointed with the extremely tight fit that caused my feet to become numb caused by lack of circulation to my foot. The top band does not stretch enough. I had to come home at lunch and change my socks.

I am sorry but I am very disappointed in the socks. I purchased 14 pair of the large based on your size chart because I wear a size 10 . They are really to tight and very uncomfortable to wear , maybe going a size up instead would be more appropriate. I washed them all at once or I would have r return them. If someone would respond to me so I can maybe exchange or return under the customer satisfaction guarantee.

When is SMARTWOOL going to re-brand itself as SMARTNYLON? I loved the Merino wool socks you used to proudly promote.

I wish I could give a good review but after nearly 2 weeks I have yet to receive my order. Please stop using FEDEX they suck. I'm sure the socks are great.

What genius decided to change the sizing on what used to be an outstanding sock? Size 10 shoe, worn size L of these socks for years, new version is two sizes too small.

My husband invested literal hundreds of dollars in smartwool - both the boxers and these socks. He threw whatever other socks and boxers he was previously wearing away to go all wool. It's been less than a year and wow - I think he may have like 2 pairs left in tact. The rest have giant holes in them. For the socks the holes are always around the heal. For the boxers they're always in the crotch. It's really absurd to me how much these products go for and how little durability they have. We bought directly from the site, invested what feels like a small fortune for boxers and socks, and are now left with nothing. Unless you're willing to purchase these annually to replace worn out socks/boxers, look elsewhere. Really disappointed these didn't work out.

Why is everyone making their socks TOO SMALL ?? I ordered XL and they fit like a small at best... absolutely maddening ! This is the second big name brand socks that'll have to be returned for the same reason.

These socks were the XL size. They were long enough but too narrow. I had to return them.
