These are made of a cotton that is a bit light and lacking in nap to call it flannel. The waist is also snug for a pajama pant. The fit and fabric on the pajama sets are much nicer. These are adequate.

I've been buying these plaid sleep pants for 7 years and over the past year, the quality has really diminished. The fabric is very thin and hardly feels like flannel. I had wanted to buy the "berry" colored pants, but the photo online looked like the front seam was totally mismatched. It looked like I sewed it together - and I can't sew! Please use better quality flannel for these pants!

The fabric is more light weight than expected and much thinner than the men's flannel pajamas I purchased for my husband. Also, you can clearly see through the stitching and it looks like it also pulls. And believe me, I ordered the correct size. They are not difficult to put on and are not snug in any way. I'm thinking of returning them.

I purchased 3 of these flannel pajamas. The quality of the fabric is nice; however, it is not flannel. The size Petite Small was very long and very large. If fit me more like a regular medium to large. I will have to return them. I would exchange for Petite Extra Small, but I'm assuming the length will be the same - uncomfortably long.

Purchased as a gift for my sister. She said they were too long, & the flannel was light weight, not what she was expecting. She returned them.

Review for Zappos VIP Points(What's this?)
Stiff and felt like it would take several washes to get soft and pliable.

These pjs are so thin I can't believe they are labeled flannel. If I had not needed these immediately I would have sent them back. C'mon, LL Bean, go back to the quality you were known for.

Material odd. Thin. Came out of dryer very wrinkly, most unusual for LLB flannel.
Didn't note any initial shrinkage. Color true.

These pants have a stiff waist band and a functional drawstring. They fit very well in the waist, hips, seat and thighs, but the legs are slimly tailored to barely skim your calves. It hurts to bend my knees in them. If I only wore these standing up, they would be OK, but I was under the impression they were supposed to be PAJAMAS, rather than slacks, and I was expecting something less formal. What's really odd is that they have big lumpy POCKETS. I do not carry anything to bed with me, and if I did, I would not put it in my pants pocket. It would be SO uncomfortable. I can't imagine what the designers were thinking when they added pockets to these pajamas. I ordered these pants in 2X, even though most of my clothes are 1X, because I remembered that LL Bean clothes had been too tight on me in the past. But I see now that the overall problem is a matter of uneven DESIGN. If I was a few inches shorter, and had much skinnier legs, these pants would be more comfortable and functional. They need to loosen up the legs and maybe add a couple inches in length, to make up for shrinkage. The price of these pants is more in line with tailored slacks than pajamas, and I am wondering if they were designed to be loungewear to wear during breakfast with extended family who have come for the holidays and are staying overnight. I have to assume that there MUST be a lot of plus size folks who carry all their extra weight in their torso and have skinny legs and arms, otherwise LL Bean would not have stayed in business so long with this design esthetic. However, if your body is like mine and is evenly proportioned, with the weight distributed evenly rather than concentrated in the torso, the design theory used for these pants is not going to work for you.

The quality and colors of these sleep pants are very nice. But good grief, the sizing. I ordered an xs petite and I'm only slightly kidding when I say they could fit someone weighing 250.

I always order large. These were HUGE. I wear them but they look rediculous.

I ordered the rust colored plaid in my usual size, small. Loved the colors, the softness, but they were huge. Reordered in extra small. I like my pjs loose, but even the extra small is falling off me. Are there no clothes at LLBean that fit me? or is this particular item incorrectly sized?

Color and softness is great but if you are under 5'3 definitely would not recommend buying them.
I have to double them over at the waist in order to wear them. Didn't send them back because I got a good a deal.

What happened to flannel? It used to be thick, very soft, and actually warm. I'm old enough to remember that quality. Now, everything is cheaply made including these "flannel" pajama bottoms. Also, why are the legs cut so wide? The waist is comfortable but the legs could accommodate three people!

The fabric was stiff and thin, no what I expected from Bean's flannel. The pants were very large for a size medium.

I ordered these online along with a waffle tee to match. Returned both. The pajama bottoms are very thin and quite frankly don't even feel like flannel. I would also like to mention that they do run long which I would have liked but others may find to be a problem.

I had bought a pair of flannel pj pants before - they were great; these are so disappointing. They are so thin - good for the summer maybe. We buy flannel to be warm.

I bought these to replace a pair of LL Bean flannel pajama pants that held up well for six years and finally wore through at the knees. This new pair has snagged threads and lots of pills after a few months of wearing and washing. Very disappointed in the quality of the fabric for the price.

My reason for the one star is that after a few wearings they are already fraying at one of the seams in the front of the pants. The pants are loose in that area so it's not a matter of me squeezing in to pants that don't fit and causing the rip, it's poor quality. For the price LL Bean charges for these pants it's not acceptable.

Bummer. I bought a size small and one leg width is enough material to sew two legs of pajama bottoms. The waist fit fine...a bit snug. I washed and they did not shrink up enough. I will take to goodwill.
