I adore plaid and have been delighted to see it come back into style after well over a decade of not seeing it around much at all. These shirts are very pretty and I ordered one. planning to order another if the first one turned out well. Nice fabric, nice fit, but the side seam plaids do not match. Now it is definitely cheaper to make a garment when you don't bother to match plaids, but that is how it looks -- cheap. I do not wear plaids that do not match, not even in pajamas, and so regretfully I returned it. Actually, I was quite surprised. I am used to thinking of L L Bean as standing for quality workmanship as well as good fabric.
Fortunately the very decent return policy means I did not have any problem retuning this shirt.

The colors and fabric of this shirt are great. I returned it, though, because the hem rolled up. I could iron it flat, but who wants to iron a flannel shirt? And when I ironed it, the bottom flared out, which was unattractive.

I bought this to wear for the holidays, and the fabric was far inferior to what I expect from my LLBean products. I followed the laundering instructions, but the shirt was wrinkley beyond what an iron could fix. Also, the surface texture was overly fuzzy and mottled, which ruined the lovely shades of the plaid. I don't feel it's worth paying the money to return.

I loved these flannel shirts but they were poorly made. One arm would not fit in a sleeve. Another sleeve my arm would fit in but the sleeve was so small I couldn't bend my elbow.

My mom bought us all this flannel shirt for xmas. They all shrunk and faded upon first wash. so disappointed. Sizes were perfect when first worn. Not after cold water wash!

I always purchase petite but this is the first time I've had one so short and cut so slim when it's advertised as relaxed fit.

Took the shirt out of the bag, held it up to the daylight and I could see through it due to it's very thin fabric. That's it! Back in the bag for return. I purchase these flannels for warmth as I live in NW Wisconsin and this was the 4th scotch plaid I have returned in the last few months due to the thin fabric. I am DONE with this product, my time, energy and money will not be wasted on thin flannel, and, the Navy Stewart color in person was unattractive in my opinion. Hello, LLB, hope you're reading this! My scotch plaid flannels from years ago are a heavier weight and I cannot see through it! However, some shrinkage and pilling has happened. I'm exhausted from all the return shipping and customer service calls, and, of course men's flannels are the same thin fabric. I gave it 1 star because it arrived.

Not the quality of previous flannel shirts. Runs smaller, pills after one wash, and shrank a whole size even though I washed according to label. Returning!

This shirt fit great until I washed it! I followed all laundering instructions and now it's a midriff and the sleeves are two inches too short.

The shirt is thin, color looks different than online, quite muddy looking, my usual LLB size is Plus 2X, but this shirt is tight across the back, shoulder to shoulder and is uncomfortable. This is the third thin flannel being returned for refund over the past few months. Prices up, quality down.

Received this thin flannel shirt that I can see through, in my LLB size, Plus 2X yesterday. The shoulders across the back is tight, restrictive, uncomfortable. The white window pane does not match which stands out on the darker background. When I buy flannel I need a warm shirt for cold months, this won't do it. Returned.

The web page keeps defaulting to Tall. Correct 3x and still shipped the incorrect size.

I purchased this flannel shirt on Jan 6, 2025. Since I have so many of scotch flannel these shirts I haven't worn that much (many three times since purchasing). This shirt did not hold up that well. I have others that were purchased in 2024 and earlier that still look good. Basically this shirt has so many piles that I tried to remove with a scraper for this purpose but was not that successful. I am very disappointed in this style (Bean of Freeport) and will avoid buying similar style in the future.

Went to.order another black watch flannel.shirt and couldn't get it in the relaxed fit. Why did you quit selling a very standard tartan?.Very unhappy. Don't want the boyfriend cut but guess my only alternative. Plus, making shirts, too short. Hope you return to the longer length as they do shrink!.

Ordered this shirt to wear untucked with tee and jeans. Body fit a bit large, but okay. At first washing, it shrank. Body fits better now but sleeves are too short. Label says "DO NOT IRON" but shirt is wrinkled and shirttail is curled. Washed in cold water and removed promptly from dryer.

I don't know how it's possible, but this shirt continues to get smaller and smaller the longer I own it. I'm a petite person and ordered a medium, so it would be slightly oversized, which it was in the beginning. But after a few washes, it is super short in the arms and has become really boxy and short in the body. It's pilled too. Such a disappointing purchase!

# TA273137 I bought several back in 2020, which I loved. I bought three more recently same number # TA273137. Same shirt as far as I know. The three recent purchases are a disaster. The material is awful, shedding. shrinking, ill fitting, not generous fit, nowhere like the shirts I bought in 2020. I wouldn't even call it pilling, just shreds of material. It is such a pain to return items.

The wife was really looking forward to this flannel shirt. But the very first time she washed it, it came out pilled. Very disappointing.

Loosely woven so pilled after first wash. Looks horrible for such an expensive shirt.

This shirt was one of the very best I have ever had - very attractive colors, super soft and comfy fabric, and perfect fit because I ordered a tall for the first time. Unfortunately, I will be returning it. After wearing it for one day, it was pilled all over the sleeves. First time I have ever been disappointed in an LL Bean product, and I have been a fan for several decades...

I have been purchasing flannel shirts since 2017. The quality of this shirt has diminished greatly over the past few years. The flannel of the shirt that I just purchased pilled after the first time it was washed; the shirts that I bought in 2017 look better than this one. These button down shirts used to have eight buttons; now they only have six which causes a sloppy fit.
