Love this flannel. I have one that is over 30 years old, but I didn't love the color. Will be ordering in a traditional plaid.

Relaxed fit, beware. High quality and lovely, but the size of a swimming pool.

My regular size but too snug for hot weather. Foreign seamstresses always make sizes too small. Better not to order online. Returned for larger size. Really want camp shirts for summer. Hard to find and weird designs.

I bought my regular size but the shirt was too big. I really liked the shirt but was sorry that I had to return.

Shockingly bright and too big. Fine for around the house on cold days.

I always love LL Bean flannel shirts but they have really missed by not offering the more flattering, fitted fit. Relaxed fit is just too boxy/baggy looking on my small frame. No shape at all with this shirt. Love the color and fabric though.

I love this shirt. "Relaxed Fit" just threw me off. Regular fit works very well for me at L.L.Bean. For this particular shirt I found the medium, my usual size, way too big and the small just a bit too tight. I'm sad this lovely shirt doesn't fit me.

I'm sorry to say, this shirt will gap at the least provocation. After losing 1/3 of my weight, purchasing a size 16 replacement; very disappointed to count six buttons and hands width in between them. Sure the shirt fits great, feels like a hug but when I sit down, the last thing I want to see is my pink belly peaking out.

Great color, length and weight. The fabric does start looking worn after first wash.

I love the fabric. I was surprised by the sizing. I normally wear a large in button down shirts, but had to go all the way up to the plus size 1X to fit my bust.

I have had this same problem with several LL Bean shirts over the last few years. There is inadequate fabric in the seams, so some of them come apart, and there is not enough fabric to make a repair. This shirt arrived with one of the front seams like that, but I liked the shirt enough to keep it. Now the collar is coming off for the same reason, and there is no way I can repair it. What a waste of environmental resources, time, and money. Sadly, Bean's clothes are not what they once were.

The fit was good, but I was disappointed by the fabric color in person. The indigo tartan is drab compared to the image on the website and in the catalog. The culloden orange was not as vibrant either. Would love to see these in brighter hues.

I'm 5'11 and all my limbs are appropriately proportional. I ordered a tall medium and the arms are too short by about 2-3 inches. It is long enough to reach the top of my pants, but not long enough to be cute. It just looks boxy. The fabric is thick and comes perfectly broken in though. I'm going to return it when I have time.

The plaid did not match up on the seams . It has more of a yellowish cream background color not black and white . I was disappointed. I may exchange for a different pattern.

I like the fit, and am happy that it didn't shrink very much. Unfortunately, after a couple of washes it has already started to pill a substantial amount, despite following care instructions. For this price, I'd expect it to not pill so badly.

The quality of this shirt was lacking. The quality in the pointed area of the collar was back stitched. It appeared as a second, with a first class item that appeared in your catalog. The overall quality is not present. It was suggested that if i washed it in cold water and fresh air dried it I would be more satisfied.this did not happen. I will wear this shirt, only as a work shirt, around the house.

This is a beautiful shirt - luxurious fabric, beautiful colors, nice long sleeves, great fit. However this overall excellence is compromised because all of the stitching is done with red thread. I bought the shirt in Gray Stewart Tartan, which is a predominantly gray plaid. Gray is by nature a calming color, so the contrasting red thread cheapens the whole shirt.

I have several of the Scotch plaid flannel shirts, mostly in the slightly fitted option which has apparently been discontinued for some reason. (The men's shirts have THREE fit options.) I wanted a new plaid and reluctantly ordered this relaxed fit version in the gray tartan plaid. The plaid is pretty, but the shirt appears to be a couple of inches bigger from below the bustline on down, making it look more boxy and masculine. I probably won't order another unless they bring back the "slightly fitted" option, which had a more flattering fit. This one fits in the bust and sleeves but is just more boxy, so it runs bigger through the waist. (Unsure how to rate the fit.) Please bring back the "slightly fitted" option in these shirts!

I have a doubt about the quality. The sleeves start to show fuzz around elbows. I don't know how the shirt will look like after washing.

I have an older LLB flannel that is XL and fits just fine even after a few years of wearing & washing. I've lost some weight so I ordered a L (large) size this time and it is a full cuff length longer in the sleeves and several inches bigger around the waist. I haven't washed it yet and I hope it shrinks some when I do. This garment is really too big even with layering a turtleneck under. Sure wish LLB would establish standard sizes and then make suppliers meet them. Your customers deserve better considering your prices.
