The shirt is warm and well-constructed. The length is shorter than I prefer, and the fabric is pilling with one cold wash and hang to dry. It was worn once. This shirt suits my needs, but I would likely not buy another like it.

What a disappointment. I got this shirt in two patterns because it seemed to fit very nicely and was flattering. I especially liked the fit at the shoulders. But after wearing a few times I noticed that the sleeves are very short. After washing, they were even shorter. And the material looked like it had been washed 20 times instead of once--rather than getting nicer, it pilled. Mostly, I'm annoyed at the short sleeves.

I have always loved these flannel shirts BUT this one is extremely THIN! Maybe if I had ordered a men's flannel, it would have been thicker?

The fit was too boxy and big for me and I'm very disappointed that I returned promptly but still got store credit when I wanted a refund.

Really pretty disappointed after washing it once before wearing...started pilling immediately! I bought my husband one of these years back and I assumed it would be the same quality (his is literally still like new) but it's much lighter weight and material is just not nearly as nice. I would not purchase one at the same price, honestly it should run about $20.

Shirt is ok. Expected more from LL Bean at the price I paid. Collar and sleeve length seemed skimpy and I will wear it. I love the red color.

This shirt is huge. I always order XL from LL Bean, but this shirt would fit an XL man. The fabric is nice and nicely made but wrapped around like a blanket. It is going back tomorrow.

Started piling within a month after a few wears. Wish it was a tad bit thicker too

I really love this pattern and the softness of the flannel but in spite of me washing in cold water and not drying it in the dryer, it has shrunk up in the length and the sleeves as all my other LLBean flannels have. It fit beautifully before I washed it, now it is short!

I have many of these flannels and like my older one much better!
I wear a size medium regular. 34" waist, 38b bust, & 43" hip. They are true to size for me.
These newer plaid shirts are a thinner material, the stitching is not even on the cuffs and is coming out in several places, the plaid isn't matched, and the material is prone to piling and fading after only exactly three washes on gentle cycle, washed inside out, alone in the wash, and then air dried!
I like the older LL Bean flannels much better being those back!

I fell in love with the colors in this shirt! Unfortunately after laundering the shirt p, it was a bit too snug in the bust area. .I can wear it with a tank top but never buttoning itwhich defeats the reason I bought it.

I have worn Bean's flannel shirts for many years, and bought a new one this year in a color that caught my eye, Washed Buchanan. The color is lovely and can be worn with many different colored tees/turtlenecks. However, that is the only good thing I have to say about the shirt. Yes, the price is lower than in the past, but so is the quality. There is no pleat in the back, so it is a closer fit. It feels shorter. There is no mid-button on the sleeve. The fabric is thinner. It feels cheap. After being a Bean customer for over thirty years, I am so sad that quality is slipping like this. What a shame. I will keep the shirt and wear it under a sweater, but I will not buy another.

Flannel feels bulky, not cozy. Also looks like it might pull with a few more washings.

I love this material - it's so soft. I wish this was slightly more fitted; when worn buttoned up it looks a little boxy. For fall, I have been wearing it unbuttoned with a more form fitting shirt, and using it as a light jacket. However, the biggest nail in the coffin for me is the length of the hem at the bottom of the shirt. After a couple of washes, it has curled up, which means I will have to iron this shirt. I don't mind ironing special occasion outfits, but I really don't want to do this with my casual wear.

Ordered petite large. The flannel, color and cut were nice, but the sleeves were about 3 inches too long. I order petite because it is usually in the correct proportions. I am exchanging for petite medium. Hopefully the sleeves will fit a little better. The same is true of two Oxford shirts I ordered at the same time.

I've been a Bean customer for many years. I own many flannel shirts some Bean and some Duluth Trading. Hate to say it but it's a little too obvious that Bean is trying to offer a product that's a more reasonable price. The flannel is cheaper, my shirt shrunk and there's only one pocket. "A" for effort for trying to make the flannel prettier tho!!

I purchased this flannel shirt size medium, color: MacRae Hunting Modern in the store on October 17, 2024, it fit nice in the store with room to spare, and looked nice on.
The washing instructions are: machine wash in cold water and dry on low heat or line dry. First time washed on 10/19/2024 in cold water and machine dried on low heat (I always wash new clothes before I wear them) was not good = unfortunately it shrunk and is now tight in the arms, across the bust, back and sleeves are a little shorter so I suggest buying the next size up or avoid machine drying.

I have loved LL Bean in the past, but their quality is NOT what it once was and the prices MORE! They have cut a lot of corners, thin flannel, no side pockets, and the much-loved flex flannels are only for men now, nothing for women-seriously!?! Great colors though.

The Scotch Plaid Flannel is very soft and roomy. Slight shrinkage with washing and drying. The only negative is that the material pilled up after only ONE washing. Such a shame because it looked really nice out of the package. Too bad... it is now a yard work shirt. Won't purchase again. PLEASE bring back the organic cotton flannels. They held up VERY well to washing.

I have many of Bean flannel shirts so I ordered my usual size. Unfortunately, this year the sizing seemed way off with long sleeves and overall length for being a petite size. I returned and didn't bother reordering as the pattern looked better in the catalog than on me. I wish a few more feminine options were offered such as softer colors or smaller, less bold plaids. I live in an urban setting and don't always want to look like I'm about to set out on a hike in the country.
