Not true to size. Bought a large but top was too small, bottoms too big. I usually wear a medium.

The material on these PJs is so thin you can see through it. Pants run very large. Very disappointed in LLBean!! In past always carried good quality. Not anymore.

I bought these as a Christmas present for my daughter 2017. I had a pair of LL Bean flannel pajamas myself which lasted for years and never pilled--I had them at least 15 years. These, however, began to pill in fewer than 3 washings. Very disappointed and embarrassed as it was a gift.

I have been a customer of L.L. Bean since 1982, 36 years, and have always been so pleased with the quality of their products. I received these pajamas for a Christmas present and to say that I am extremely disappointed in the quality of these pajamas is putting it as politely as I can. They are gauzy, I can see right through the material, after one washing the pilling of this flannel was incredible and they were not soft at all. I have had many pairs of pajamas from L.L. Bean in the past and they typically last 6 to 7 years. I am not going to even give these pajamas a chance! I am sending them back for a complete refund! I web chatted with a representative and told her my story and she couldn't have been more sympathetic and understanding. I am happy to know that they still stand by their products and that customer service is tops. L.L. Bean, please do better in the future. I have found a company in California that makes 100% Cotton flannel pajamas made in the USA for only a little more money. There is no comparison, the flannel is thick, luxurious and no pilling. They will last 6 to 7 years, no problem! Please, L.L. Bean, ramp up quality control or you will lose your faithful customers.

I have always been extremely happy with the quality of any clothing item I've ever ordered from LL Bean. However, this pair of flannel pajamas was constructed of fabric that was most unsatisfactory. It pilled terribly! They looked really bad and left a trail wherever in the house I went! After washing them 4 times I gave up and regrettably returned them! The construction was good and they were very cozy and comfortable, but the appearance and problems the pilling created outweighed the positives!

Received 2 pairs of flannel pajamas for Christmas. Colors are beautiful, however, quality is a far cry from LLB's pajamas I have had in the past. The flannel is a much poorer grade than you have ever used before. Love the pockets in the pants but just can't get passed the wretched flannel!

I was very excited to wear these flannel PJs through the winter, but I can't even wear them anymore after only 2 washings. Like others have stated, they run VERY LARGE. I'm 5'6", 130lbs and ordered the XS as I know LL Bean tends to run large, but these are huge. I almost thought the pants were mens as they are very long (and I'm not short) and incredibly bulky. That combined with the very poor quality of flannel is very disappointing to me. The flannel washed very poorly and has pills all over. My cheap JCrew outlet flannel pajama pants are much better quality for a fraction of the price. I'm a loyal LL Bean fan, but very disappointed with these flannel PJs.

These pajamas are very inferior flannel. They have left tons of lint in my machine even after multiple washings. The material gets more and more scratchy after every washing. Will never order these again. I was also disappointed in my last order from LLBean. One of the shirts was of very inferior material, the hem was actually crooked and the neckline looks like that Downy ad after washing. Can only use it to work around the house. Would never wear it in public. After almost 50 years of being a devoted LLBean customer I find myself questioning your quality. That has never ever entered my mind before.

Sadly, I have had to cut every tag out of these PJs. The tag material & thread is rough & horrible for what should be soft pajamas. Washing doesn't even soften these tags! I've had to restitch seams because of the way these tags were placed. Poor quality! Would not recommend! Hope LLBean improves their tag method!

I love the feel and plaid color of the pj's, but they shed unbelievably!!! The matching robe, too. I gave both a fair shot with multiple washings ( no fabric sheet which would have made the situation worse}. Lint tray FULL every time. Lint on the floor, duvet over...everywhere.

My family has been an LLBean customer for over 40 years and have always trusted your product quality and durability. When my 89 year old mother received these pajamas she absolutely loved them - perfect fit, warm, comfortable. She was so happy with them she had me order a second pair, Two months later she is returning the unopened second pair and throwing away the first pair. The SHEDDING was incredible. She expected the first washing and drying to have some shedding, but the second washing was even worse than the first - left balls of flannel everywhere. The material is thin and no longer warm. After the third washing, she gave up. Extremely disappointed.

The flannel pjs are soft, but my complaint for the one star is: after multiple washing they pill and leave navy blue pills all over my floors and carpet. I have to vacuum everyday as my carpet is light. How many washings does it take. I have purchased 2 pairs. Very disappointed!

I love flannel pajamas and ordered 3 pairs of the black watch plaid and really liked the thickness of the flannel, imagining myself all warm and cozy this winter. I washed one pair to be sure that the size would be OK after washing, knowing that flannel always shrinks a bit. THIS PAIR OF PAJAMAS HAS NOW BEEN WASHED 3 TIMES AND THEY SHED SO MUCH THAT I LEAVE A TRAIL OF SMALL DARK PIECES OF FABRIC WHEREVER I GO!! It's really awful! I'm shedding more than the dog! The other pairs will be returned and I will call Customer Service to see if I can return the pair that has already been worn. These pjs are cozy, but not worth the big mess they make.

I was so excited to purchase these pajamas, as my previous pair from LLBean was worn out. I washed and dried the pajamas upon receiving them and noticed blue fuzz everywhere - in the washer, dryer, lint filter, and the laundry room. Just shaking them out causes a rain of fuzz. Washed them again and same thing happened. They really make a mess and leave a fuzz trail everywhere. Something has changed in the quality of these pajamas - I'm really disappointed as I was hoping to wear them on cold winter nights. I would like to return them but obviously they have been washed, so that is probably not possible.

I purchased the black watch pajamas in petite. When I opened the package, they felt incredibly soft. I thought I'd found my dream flannel pajamas. I washed them by themselves as per instructions. I had to sweep out the washer and dryer from all the lint. No worries, flannel always sheds at first, I thought. Second time - same thing. I vacuumed the washer, dryer, and shook out and vacuumed off the loose lint from the pajamas. Third time - same thing. On fourth attempt, I added some vinegar to the wash water as some people recommended on the internet. I now have a melon-sized ball of lint with no end in sight. These pajamas have become a nightmare. I'm going to have to return them. I gave it my best effort. I really wanted to love them.

I purchased a L flannel women's pajama set. The top fit great, the bottom however looks like it is a triple XL or a straight up Men's large cut with a Women's tag. The bottom was not proportionate to the top. Almost looked like it was a mismatched set, but I checked the tag and it said Women's L on both. I'm 5'9'' currently wear a size 10 or L in Women's. Super bummed. I can't seem to find a pj set that fits and is comfortable. Swimming in these bottoms. Pretty sure I could fit 2 of me in there. The search continues
