I have three colors of the full-zip version of this shirt and love them so thought I would try the quarter zip. This shirt runs a full size smaller than the full-zip. The cut is very straight and tight in the chest. I thought about ordering the next size up but I'm afraid that won't solve the problem. Sorry to have to return.

Originally got an Olive one back at Christmas time. Had to return it because after rinsing it in cold water with no laundry detergent, the sweatshirt became discolored in spots. This was a replacement. I was so excited to get it. I only wore it once. Rinsed it out again and it did the same thing. Discolored in several spots. Makes me believe that it is a product issue and not something I did. I really like the sweatshirt, but not sure if I want to return it and have this happen again. May just keep it to wear it around the house and to run quick errands in.

I am SO disappointed. The fig color has been sold out and was finally available the other day. I snagged one and when it arrived the color was even nicer than pictured. More deep and darker. I love these quilted pullovers and have two others. I worn it once and washed it on delicate cycle like the instructions recommend and when it came out there was a giant rip across the quilted fabric on the front. I can't even exchange it because it's sold out in the fig color once again. I had read another review of the fabric snagging and ripping easily. I'm hoping this doesn't happen to my other two since I still overall love this pullover but I'm very disappointed in the quality to have been damaged so easily upon first wash.

I wanted to love this pullover, bit the fit was odd. It looked pretty good from the front, but was very poofy and loose in the back. Unfortunately, I sent it back. I don't think sizing up or down would have helped this problem.

A friend of mine has 3+ of these awesome pullovers and I expected that mine would be the same heavier weight and texture.
I purchased the french blue - and mine is much thinner and lighter than hers - not sure if specific colors were manufactured differently. It's lovely if you're looking for a lightweight pullover, but its a quilted sweatshirt, I wanted a heavier layer. Disappointed and returning.

I was obsessed with this pullover all season and i finally was able to find it in a medium in GREEN! I put it on for the first time and wore it for about an hour until i looked down and the stitches of the quilting were pulling and there was 2 significant holes in it!!!! I called LL BEAN and they said that the pullover was unfortunately out of stock everywhere and they said i can start calling stores around the county if I wanted to try and find one myself. I now have to go out of my way to go to the store and return a brand new 65.00 sweatshirt because of terrible quality control.

The fit looks nothing like the photo. The bottom is super wide and bows out. The material is a lot thinner than I thought it would be. Not worth the price in my opinion.

Loved the looks, and the top half fit great, but the bottom had zero elastic and simply hung. Don't know if this is bad design or poor construction, but it's going back. Who wants or needs a drafty sweatshirt ???

I have purchased many of these. Most recent in Nov 2025. All developed holes in front. I wash on medium with warm water. Hang to dry. Quality has decreased. Do not recommend.

I love this quarter zip shirt and bought several in different colors. It's very comfortable and looks very nice. However, after only 2-3 washings several small holes developed in the front quilted area. I had the same problem with the full zip version of the same sweatshirt. Very disappointing. I would continue to buy again in more colors if I could depend upon it holding up, but it's not worth the cost for only 2-3 wearings.

I bought this sweater 3 months ago. I loved it. However, it's now completely worn downin only 3 months I'm very disappointed. (I don't have any pets, and haven't done any manual labor in this sweater.)

I absolutely loved this quarter zip, but within 2 months of purchase (and only 1 month of wearing it), a small tear formed in the front quilted section. I am SO disappointed, especially given the price of the jacket. Would not order again

Very disappointed in this pullover. I have worn it twice and it pills terribly under the arms and down the sides. I actually purchased a sweater shaver to remove the pills. Needless to say, this is not the quality I expected from LLBean

I bought this pullover last year and loved it--warm, lovely color, and flattering. When I pulled it out to use this year, I noticed several small holes in the front/middle of the pullover. I couldn't figure out what happened--moths? (but none were apparent) rubbing against a zipper in the coat I use? (but the zipper in that LLBean jacket was not exposed).
So, I threw that jacked away and ordered another. In just a couple of weeks, those same holes began to appear. There's clearly a problem with the fabric. My other LLBean quarter zips are still in good shape--some over a decade old. LLBean should pull this product from its catalog.

Love the comfort and the warmth and colors available however they just don't stand up considering the amount of money you want for them I find this unacceptable. This has happened to both of the tops like this I have purchased

I have bought two of these. I love the look, but they only last one season before they get numerous small holes along side of the zipper. It happened to both tops in the same place, near the waist and up and down from there.

I'm
Going to return it. I wore it 5 times and it's pilling under my arms. That's not acceptable.

Loved the styling and that they came in tall size for my long arms. Fit is great. I would never pay this much for a sweatshirt except i was so excited to see tall sizes and I expected great quality from llbean, but unfortunately within 6 months of normal wear and washing both my sweatshirts developed holes in the quilted portion of the front of the shirts. I've never had a shirt wear holes so fast in my life. Very disappointing quality.

My sister JUST bought me this yesterday (she got herself one too) and I was wearing it when I cut my parents cats nails and it absolutely tore it up. I'm so upset. You would think the material would be more durable.

I have several of these sweatshirts I love them but this one not so much. It is made in different country than others not sure if that's why. It's covered in pills I'm actually thinking about returning.

The color as represented on the website, was quite different from the jacket that I received. On the website, it looked like a pink with peach overtones. What I received was a cooler pink with a dusty overtone.
The fabric on the front of the jacket looked like it had an unintended crease. However, it was not a fold, but rather an imperfection in the fabric that was used.
I am disappointed with both color and the quality of the materials that were used in the manufacturer of this jacket.

LL BEAN used to be great quality, and you paid a higher price to get textile clothing that lasted, and that's why they kept my business. For 30 years I've purchased here..only to buy this $80 sweater and after wearing for 2 hours it has holes that have come through in the fabric.. I thought it was a fluke returned it and got another one only to have the same issue..now the store is 1hr from me so I would have to somehow manage my carload of kids and driving 2hrs then the hassle of the store return. I am so disappointed and they just keep saying they stand behind their products, but clearly there's an issue here with quality! I was told a customer service representative would contact me and nothing, emails go unattended and this just is not the company of 10years ago.

So disappointed that this sweatshirt is pilling badly after just one use. Pills under the arms along the sleeves and side panels. It looks and feels awful. Color is the rustic purple. Previously bought the bright sapphire which is not pilling - yet. This was my favorite new sweatshirt until now. Afraid to buy any other colors.

I purchased this item a little over a year ago, and it was my favorite sweatshirt because I loved the cozy fabric and the bright yellow color. I took good care of it just how the tag instructed. Unfortunately, the fabric started to get runs in it, like tights do. I live in an area with seasons, and I'm so disappointed in the cheap quality of the fabric. This was actually my second purchase of a similar item (my first was the quilted hoodie) and that one got a run in it too, I just thought it was a fluke. Turns out, it's a quality issue. I've purchased similar items from less expensive retailers that are still going strong.
