I finally found the perfect flannel pajamas and I'm reviewing to hopefully help you out with choosing the right size. I'm 5'6 140 lbs with an athletic build. I ordered a medium which was good though the top fit smaller than the bottoms in my opinion. I washed them and they shrunk a bit but I figure they will continue to do so with time and washes. Anyway, I ordered a second pair in a large and though they are bigger (obviously) I still like the fit and bit of shrinking will only make them better over time. For $80 pajamas I expect them to last a long time. So now I'm returning the medium set and bought another in a large. I also appreciate LL Beans great customer service but it's a pain to return them and they do charge $6 for shipping which they take off the refund. I'm hoping to save you the hassle.

Both my husband and I have a pair of these flannel PJs and I won't wear anything else. Husband, who said he 'doesn't wear flannel PJs" now lives in them. :) They are soft, warm, cozy and perfect for these cold VT winters. Gonna send my sister a pair now!! thank you LLBean.

I washed & dried them before wearing and they emerged perfectly. They're soft and the comfy!

I love these pajamas! They are well made, soft and have pockets. They are true to size.

I ordered them large I don't sleep in them sometimes I like to put them on during the day just to be warm and comfy

These pj's are so comfortable and a pleasure to sleep in that a second pair of pj's are in need. I will recommend them to a friend or family member to try.

Best flannel pjs ever! Ever! I started buying these when we lived in Colorado and although we don't live there anymore, as soon as the temperature drops I pull them out!

Have bought the same pajamas before, so I knew I would like them. They are soft and not overly warm. I also like the button top instead of the pull over tops. The price is a bit steep, but I haven't found better pajamas anywhere. Easy cleaning....washer and dryer safe.

These are easily the best quality PJs I have ever bought. The flannel is soft and thick and has held up well over the past year to many washes. I got the S Tall and had to hem the pants but the sleeves fit great. They did not shrink in the wash.

Soft, cosy and looks great. Perfect winter pajamas. Order a size larger since they shrink slightly after a wash.

Lovely pj's! Very good workmanship, classic design and detail. Pricey, but isn't everything? We all wore these as kids. Pockets, collars. No neckline down to the navel. My home bedroom is cold at night and these are cozy. Nice real flannel!

These are the first PJs I have ordered from LLBEAN and I love them. I got a size M though I could easily fit into a S (5'3") but I wanted to wash and dry in warm water. They are slowly shrinking, which is what I wanted. VERY WARM.

Fit is everything. I am 5'6" tall and 118 lb. I ordered a medium because I wanted to allow for some shrinkage after wash and drying. It is still a little big but I like a little more room and not have a tight fit. I would order again and the same medium size. Soft material and is warm !

The pj's are soft and roomy. I have only one suggestion: please do not put tags inside of garments that rest against bare skin. It simply gives us extra work. I have been wanted this pair of pj's for as long as I can remember ordering from the Bean catalog - literally. So happy to have them now.

Great pajamas. Beautifully soft fabric. One thing that would make it better is a button at the neck. I had to sew a snap there.

You can't go wrong with any of Bean's flannel PJ's. So comfy! So Cozy!

I was so happy to receive my flannel pjs just in time for the cold weather!

After many years it was time to retire a favorite set of pajamas. I got this set from l.l Bean and hoped it would be as nice. The fabric is soft and substantial without being heavy. It's cozy, warm for both sleep and lounging. The waist is good quality with drawstring. I am very happy with these PJs!

Well made, comfortable and high quality flannel. Washed mine and almost no shrinkage. Love the pockets. Worth the money.

These are soft and really comfortable PJs ... I didn't really see the difference in the plaid on the two sides before buying them, but I love it - they are very cute and functional PJs
