I purchased the red flannel p.j.s and found the fabric to be exactly what I wanted -- soft and thick for these cold winter days. But I was so disappointed to find them not cut properly. The pants were extremely large and too long. The top was the right size. I know one needs to allow for shrinkage but these would never shrink that much and I couldn't wear one without the other so I sent them back.
LL Bean please consult with the manufacturer to correct the sizing so that I (and others) can order them in the future!! Thank you!

This was my second pair of LL Bean pajamas. I say "was" because they are no longer usable after fewer than a dozen wearings. While my first pair is still going strong after many years, this pair ripped in the arm above the elbow in a place where there would be no stress to the garment. When we tried to take them back to LL Bean in Lyndhurst, Ohio, we were told that this was "ordinary wear and tear" and that nothing could be done. There is nothing "ordinary" about pajamas at this price point where the material is so poor that it tears between the elbow and the shoulder. I would recommend not wasting your money on what was once a terrific product.

Have several pairs of the LL Bean Flannel sleep pants and live them. Thought I'd treat myself to new pjs... Received my order only to find the pants were HUGE and the top was snug across the bust. Had to return and won't be reordering. I should have heeded the advice others offered in their reviews and saved myself the shipping costs back!!!!

I have been buying clothing from LLBean for years. I have always been happy until now. I purchased 2 pairs of flannel pajamas a little over a month ago, and one of the pairs already has a hole in it. So now I have a monogrammed dust rag. When you spend $80.00 for a pair of pajamas they should last. Very poor quality.

Had to return this product because after one washing the fabric was all pilled and looked terrible. very unhappy with the quality of the flannel. I love ll bean products in general so this was very disappointing.

Fabric good. Way too large for a medium. Sent it back.

Over the years I've bought LLB pajamas and I've been pleased. Not this time. When I removed the pajamas from the packaging, I saw lots of pilling and felt the thin material. I tried them on and they were huge, top and bottom. I did not see a way forward with this purchase so I returned them.

I absolutely love the pajamas and so much wanted to keep them! However, I bought a Medium petite but the top was too tight and the bottoms were made for someone with hugely heavy legs. I don't think even the heaviest person could look right in these. I read the other comments and saw that someone had to have them taken in. I would have to have them tailored and am not going to spend money for that and they'd look funny anyway. Sure, when we get pajamas, we don't want something like leggings, we want some room to move our legs comfortably but these are crazy! I hope that Bean is reading this and can tell the manufacturer to make normal sized leg widths, tapered just right. If I ordered a large, the top would fit but the bottoms would then be ridiculous. Maybe next season, these can be revised because the fabric is soft and I love the pattern. I have been with Bean for about 50 years and am surprised that they approved a fit like this. Please address this. Thanks!

I had high hopes for these pajama's and always wanted a pair. Now I wish I hadn't. I like them to fit loose so that there is plenty room to move around. My legs are shorts so I bought petite. The pants are huge and hang under my house shoes and drag on the floor. The shirt is tight through the shoulders and restrictive. These are the oddest sized pajama's I have ever purchased. I washed the pants hoping they would shrink some. If they did, I can't tell. I have several brands of pajama sets and these by far cost the most and fit the worse. Very disappointed. I had to pick either too large or too small to post this but the pants are large and the top is tight.

Sleeves were too long. I had to double check to be sure this item was actually labelled "petite". It was, but you could have fooled me. Bottoms were also too large. I had these same PJs years ago and was disappointed to discover that the quality of the current fabric was not nearly as good. Returning.

Washed item and material faded and there was fuzz balls everywhere. Very disappointed in quality of material. Price is too high for quality of item.

I bought 2 pairs of these and these pjs are not nice to wear like your previous flannel pjs. Material is scratchy, thin and cheap. I liked your old pale pink or blue solid color pjs and the checked ones also. These just don't compare at all. Bring back the good ones. I can't believe you don't carry the good ones anymore.

The good news is the flannel is soft and cozy. The bad news is that the PJ bottoms are HUGE! I laughed when I put them on. A full 5+" of extra fabric from the waist down! I had to get out my sewing machine and take in the side seams about 2.5 inches (5" total for each leg.) And they are still roomy now, after the alteration. I think LLB blew it on this sizing.

Having worn LLB flannel pjs for years, (still wear several pair that are decades old) I was delighted to receive these as a gift. It was immediately apparent that the quality had fallen substantially. Material was quite flimsy, and the patterns didn't match up at the seams -- really hate that -- cheapens the look. As another reviewer pointed out, after laundering, I had flannel fuzz all over my other laundry as well as the washer. As these were a gift, I didn't return them, but donated them to charity.

I washed product first before wearing it and it left large amount of loose cotton chunks all over clothing and inside washer. I followed washing instructions.

I purchased 2 pairs a year ago and only wear them during the winter months. For the price I paid I thought they would last longer than a year. They started thinning out and them they ripped. Was hoping to get more than a year out of these. If I want cheap I will buy cheap.

The top was fine and true to size. The bottom (pants) were way too big and long. I have never had to shorten pj bottoms! Iwish I had returned them.

Shows pilling after first wash. I have purchased these pajamas in the past with no complaints, but this year's fabric is poor.

I am very disappointed with this product. I asked my sister to purchase it for me for Christmas. I removed the tags because they were itchy and excessive. I then realized that the fabric was pilling very badly. I had noticed this before, but it kept getting worse and worse. Without even washing or drying, the fabric was shedding very quickly. I then decided to return. Due to their return policy because of removing the tags, I was unable to receive an exchange or return. This seemed very unreasonable to me, as the fabric was falling apart and completely unrelated to the tags being removed. I understand the reason for this policy, but I feel very disappointed that nothing was done to compensate for the poor quality of the fabric. Be warned that the fabric begins pilling immediately and makes the product seem years old in just a couple days of wear. I do not recommend this product. LL Bean, please solve this issue! These pajamas are expensive and not worth the price!

Bought flannel pajamas last year and loved them! Bought another pair which I received yesterday and they are going back. I have washed them twice and they shed lint/fuzz like crazy! I had to vacumn the laundry room floor and clean out my washer because of the amount of shedding. What has happened to the great flannel pajamas?! These do not even deserve one star!

After 4 washings and more than 10 hours in the dryer, these PJ's are still shedding lint in large quantities. I have never seen anything like it before in any flannel product. I am shocked that LL Bean would use such an inferior material. The attached photo represents only about 1/10 of the lint from this single pair of PJ's. I am calling tomorrow to return. These were a gift and, I must say, it has been embarrassing.

Who decided it was a great idea to make your flannel pajamas out of low quality fabric? I washed and dried them before putting them in the mail and the lint trap of the drier was packed full of lint from them ! I would have returned them but didn't have time to shop elsewhere. You use to sell quality goods . I should have read the reviews before wasting my $$$

After 7 hrs. on "air fluff" in my dryer, these pajamas continued to shed black lint. Unfortunately, I have returned them. Very disappointing! I have other new flannel pj's from a competitor that do not do this. LL Bean's cotton flannel, Blackwatch pattern, is a short-staple, inexpensive product. More expensive, long-staple cotton will not do this.

the pajamas came with a lot of free black material. It has now been though 3 washes and drying and this mess is still coming off. This is unacceptable. I will think long before make future purchases.

I just received these as a Christmas gift. Like several other reviewers, I'm having major problems with lint. I have washed them twice; there's been more lint in my dryer from these PJs and robe than an entire load of laundry; TWICE. Now they are so thin that I can see through them in places; if you keep them wear an undershirt. After two washes they have the same level of thinness and piling as several of cheaper pairs of pajamas that I wear and have been washing for 2+ years. These are not worth the money unless you like thin flannel and lint left all over everything.
