I ordered the Cream with Green Script, in Large, and I think an XL would have been better for me. I was taken in by the lovely, slender model wearing the Cream and Green, and my body is not like hers. Enough said. While I had the sweatshirts, I really examined the double seaming, and other extra details lacking in most sweatshirts. I really never knew there was a difference, and now I do. If I could regain the lean, tall body of the model, I would be in great shape!

Snuggly warm sweatshirt. I always wear an XS with L.L. Bean but found this one a bit snug and sized up to a small, especially needed if I want to layer under it. The L.L. Bean name, which goes around the front and back of the shirt, is what really caught my eye. It is very unusual and clever. Washed and dried well.

This sweatshirt is true to size. It is so soft and comfortable to wear. Also, the neckline doesn't fit so close and lays down flat.

Perfect Sweatshirt love the neckline comes down a little lower for comfort. Sleeves plenty long and shirt itself is long for leggings.

I love this sweatshirt! It is so soft and warm and has a nice fit. I got a Medium so I could put layers under it as the weather gets colder. I like that the bottom does not fit tightly. And the blue color is very cheerful for winter. Good job, LLBean!!

Beautiful retro embroidered sky blue soft sweatshirt arrived before Christmas,wrapped up tight under our daughter's tree.

I love the fuzzy orange lettering that give it a real retro look. My husband's high school varsity sweater has the same fuzzy lettering from the 1960s! Be aware that it is orange, not red as I thought from the picture. It looks and fits great. I only wish we could return to those simpler times.

It is my new "go to" sweat shirt. It fit perfectly and is very comfortable.

The very first 1912 sweatshirt I purchased was in the Navy, size large. Fit perfectly. All the other colors I've purchased had to be in an x-large as the sleeves and length were too short in the large size. I don't mind my sweatshirts being a little looser, but wish I could have gotten them in my normal size. Other than the strange size difference between the colors, the sweatshirt is soft and very comfortable. I like the feminine fit, it's not a unisex fit. I'm 5'7" so perhaps the sleeve length would not be an issue for someone that is shorter??

Bough this as part of a husband/wife gift because they admired ours. Very happy, but way too small.

I've bought two of these sweatshirts, so far! My new favorite! Soft and comfy. Washes great, minimal shrinking. I sized up for a roomier fit. Definitely recommend.

Love this sweatshirt! Fit is great and just the right weight for winter warmth. I ordered the pink with white lettering and am very happy with the color. I would definitely recommend this sweatshirt.

Previously I ordered and returned the Cranberry and Woodrose, each XL, as neither was flattering. When the Arctic Blue came on sale, I was not thrilled by the kind of Baby Blue color, but read one review which said the script lettering was a deep orange, not red, so I decided to try it. Some said it ran large, others said it would shrink, so I ordered L and XL. Because I only paid $19.99 each, I have decided to keep both, in the event the L shrinks. Now knowing the Large will fit, I took a gamble on the Cream with Green Script in Large. I live a rugged rural, outdoor life which soils clothing, but I will save the Cream for "dressing up," so to speak.

I was so delighted with "Woodrose" pink! It is a true, clear, strong pink, so flattering to olive complexions. Neutrals just don't work for me. The cut is "long and narrow," not really ideal for my short-waisted torso. (I think a custom size for me would be "Petite Large w/long arms.") It's a beautiful shirt, love the 60/40 blend. I measure between a M and a L (38c bra). After a significant weight loss that seems here to stay, think I might try this closer fit. Yes, I recommend!

Totally Soft and cozy. I wanted a sweatshirt that looked good and was soft. This is it !

Runs a little small compared to other LL Bean sweatshirts I've purchased. I bought the cranberry color which is beautiful. The quality of the material and construction is perfect. It washed well. Just buy a size up if you prefer your sweatshirts more loose.
